I got an early beta key, but stopped playing Heartstone after 3(?) months or so. It just gets boring really fast with all these basic cards.
Yeah. It's like playing magic only with ABU. It have its charm, but gets a bit dull really quick.
But right now I try to get a full set only by playing arena. I have set a 'spend no money' goal for myself. And it's actually possible to achieve (opposite modo-drafting).
Is it just me, or has the quantity of posts and the amount of discussion dropped significantly since the change to the new site?
It's not just you, sir. I think browsing is more difficult now. I miss seeing the threads with new posts at the top of the forum in bold print with a link to go to the first new post right next to it. Now I have some threads with the link and others without. I have to look at the time stamps and try to figure out if a new post was created since my last visit. When I can click the link for the first new post, it often takes me to several posts after that post or in some cases it's taken me to posts from four years ago. I feel like I have to put forth more effort to browse now. I have no intentions of rage quitting because of this change, but I really feel like if this had been the look/feel of this forum when I joined in 2006, I probably wouldn't still be posting.
I agree there seems to be less traffic. I'm not sure whether I have been posting any more or less than before.
We are immediately after spoiler season of a set that has little to offer most cubes. Pringles' draft has settled into a less interesting phase (not a criticism, just an observation true to most drafts, where the latter picks tend to be more obvious).
I'm not particularly enamoured of the change in format, particularly when I'm browsing from my smartphone. Many of the navigation buttons are tiny. I don't think it has a big impact on the amount I am posting, though.
The 6 nations rugby was less exciting this weekend. English and French victories about as you'd expect. I wasn't surprised Ireland beat Wales but I was surprised by the margin. Ireland have a tough draw as they face England in Twickenham and finally France in the Stade de France. I wouldn't be surprised if France win; there was a Lions tour last year after all.

I liked the Go Advanced option for editing my cube thread, but I don't think making changes will be that difficult. One thing I will miss about that advanced post screen is creating complicated posts (like a cube thread or article). When I made that Wildfire thread, I typed it all out in Notepad and then just pasted it into the tiny box on the forums.
Never mind my complaint about editing cube lists, I just found out that I can manually enlarge the writing window. It will probably take a while until I find all the subtler functions of the new forum.
Where did you find this? Is this from an official trailer?
Two Gifs got leaked yesterday. That was one of them. Check them both out here: Clicky.
The first official trailer is announced for tomorrow, i expect these gifs to be a part of that.
I can't tell you how excited i am that they are making a movie out of GotG. This is going to be epic.
I heard they are just tech demo shots and not actually from the movie.
EDIT: I just spent a couple minutes thinking about which super hero movies there are with female leads. Elektra, Catwoman, Supergirl... and they are all freaking terrible. Is Tank Girl actually the best one? Blows my mind.
Kill Bill is awesome, but I'm not sure that counts since it's not really a "superhero" flick. It is a Tarantino masterpiece, though.
I've never been a huge DC fan (outside of Batman, that is) but I think DC is starting to move in the right direction with their movies. Nolan's Batman trilogy is epic, Superman was great, and I'm somewhat excited for Superman Batman. (Only somewhat because of Jesse Eisenberg as Luthor. Ugh.) A good writer/director team could bring Wonder Woman to the big screen and it would blow us all away. DC's animated Wonder Woman movie was really well written and very entertaining, and that's coming from someone who was never a DC fan growing up.
Growing up I was an X-Men kid through and through. I got into comics in the late eighties and early nineties, so artists like Jim Lee and Whilce Portacio on the X-Men relaunch plus the Fox animated series really just pulled me right into the X-Men world. I was never really into much else to be honest. Basically during the 90s for me it was X-Men, Image, GI Joe, Batman, and Spider-Man. I was never into the other Marvel and DC characters. I didn't even start reading Avengers until Bendis took over with Disassembled. And I've tried reading the Geoff Johns DC stuff, but I just cannot get into any of those characters.
What's kind of funny is that for me it just feels like a DC movie starring someone like Flash would just be silly. I mean, he runs fast. Whoopadeedoo. I think one thing that Marvel did right was to create their own movie universe. Make a movie with each character, cameo some other smaller characters in those individual movies, then make a mega blockbuster team movie. Even the movies that don't really fall into that same universe (Spider-Man, Wolverine and First Class) all feel like they could easily be happening in that same universe. While the Nolan Batman movies were definitely awesome, I think it was a mistake on DC's part not to try to start with a Batman movie, then go into a Superman movie, then so on and so forth working their way up to a JLA movie. I hope that's what they're working toward now, but with their casting choices for the new Superman movie, I don't have very high hopes.
I posted a response here, but apparently the Curse gods didn't like it and it somehow got deleted. the tl;dr version of that post was that I was a Marvel kid growing due largely to the early 90s success of the X-Men relaunch and the Fox animated series. Outside of Batman, there just wasn't anything that attracted me to DC. Even now I've tried to get into non Batman DC books and I just can't make myself care about those characters. Geoff Johns is a fantastic writer and story teller, but I just get bored reading about Green Lantern and Flash. DC is doing it right with their TV franchises, though. Smallville was a solid show and I feel like they went out on a high note. And now Arrow is knocking it out of the park every single week. As a matter of fact I think Arrow is the best TV show that's based on a comic book that's currently airing. Yes, it's better than Walking Dead and that's by quite a large margin.
They did two important things with the second season of Arrow: One, Ollie is more of a hero now than a psycho. Two, they tapped into the larger DC universe with all its characters and start using them.
I can only recommend that you give the show another try.
I second that, Arrow's second season is amazing so far. It's currently my favorite TV show, tied with Person of Interest and The Blacklist (and if you're not watching those either, I strongly recommend you give them a try as well).
Arrow would easily be my number two show right now behind Game of Thrones. BK pretty much already said everything that made the show better in season two. The just keep getting it right. I'd highly recommend you give it another chance, Pringles.

Plus, the way spoilers and card lists look now makes my cube list look really weird. Does this mean that I have to do a complete overhaul?
