Man o Man would I love to have a Beta Wraith. That art is amazing and Quinton Hoover passed away, which for some reason adds to the art in my opinion. (Respect I guess?)
I think the OG Damnation is the best. Something about the foil, not a fan of the MPR textless.
What is the best Evolving Wilds art? Both the last two arts in Khans and BFZ have been pretty good. Apparently this was an Ugins Promo that I've never seen before.
While I get the allure of the original frame (nostalgia plus feel of unrefined mystery), I wonder why you like the M15 frame more than the 8th frame. Isn't the former just a worse version of the latter? The unique font looks weird and the bottom looks stupid and otherwise, it is pretty much the same.
For Evolving Wilds, I'm a fan of the Khans version and I really like the Dark Ascension version. I'm a little sad that we have so many sweet options for Evolving Wilds, but only one option for Terramorphic Expanse.
And I'd agree with Star Slayer on the 8th+ frame being better than the M15+ frame. I like aspects of the new frame, but I hate how it curves into itself at the bottom.
I wouldn't mind the M15+ card frame, but the information text at the bottom left-hand corner is awful and makes it feel like I'm about to fill out my tax forms.

Honestly, I think every version of Evolving Wilds is awful except for the promo / DTK one. Everything else but the BFZ one has a really dark tone to it and I feel like a land that can fetch any basic should be more colorful.
Also, Terramorphic Expanse only needs one option IMO, that card looks so sweet and I'm often tempted to run a second one over Evolving Wilds, lol.
Thoughts on Timeshifted vs original foil versions of the same card (i.e., Avalanche Riders)? I'm normally a fan of the nostalgia of original printings, but am wondering if it's worth it to get the reprint because it gets the foiling on the actual art unlike older cards.
One of the things about Timeshifted cards is that they have changed text. I base my decision on that rather than the foil because I don't think its too different.
Example Shadowmage Infiltrator
Odyssey
Shadowmage Infiltrator can`t be blocked except by artifact creatures and/or black creatures. Whenever Shadowmage Infiltrator deals combat damage to a player, you may draw a card.
Timeshifted
Fear Whenever Shadowmage Infiltrator deals combat damage to a player, you may draw a card.
Modern Masters
Fear (This creature can't be blocked except by artifact creatures and/or black creatures.)
Whenever Shadowmage Infiltrator deals combat damage to a player, you may draw a card.
Just depends on what you want. This is more important to me than the actual foiling process. In this case I prefer the Odyssey version.
I agree, the Modern Masters art is really cool. If you want the original art though, I would go with Odyssey. It actually explains what it can/can't be blocked by, unlike the Timeshifted version. Plus Odyssey is the OG version, so there's that.
As cool as the MM Shadowmage Infiltrator is, I will never play a new boarder gold card over an old bordered gold card unless the text was SUPER WONKY on the old one (which I don't think is the case in any commonly played gold cards). Also, I would never deprive an invitational winner a slot in my cube over their alternate art, they earned that spot and are generally much more iconic. I always have this invitational argument with my cube / EDH group over Solemn Simulacrum, Shadowmage Infiltrator, and Dark Confidant, they all hate the original ones but I refuse to use any other version, lol.
Overall I don't like using Modern Masters cards in general, not only am I picky with my expansion symbols but I particularly hate the way the MM 2015 symbol looks. I don't mind the original MM symbol though, and play a few cards from it such as Trygon Predator and Maelstrom Pulse because their original printings are pretty hideous.
I actually don't mind the timeshifted TSP cards, I think the purple symbol looks cool and there's some important creatures that have the human creature type that's not on their original printings, notably Shadowmage Infiltrator and Avalanche Riders. I think the best contribution from the timeshifted TSP cards is Disenchant, lol.
I like both arts for different reasons. The MM one feels more like infiltration whereas the Odyssey/TS feels more like telportaion but maybe that is just me.
What color border are those Time Spiral Cards. It's like a greeny/yellowy/goldy FUGLY color I just cannot quite describe.
The thread is very long so I am sure this card was already discussed so please humor me. Which foil art of Evacuation would do you like? 10th seems odd, 8/9th is an evacuation but I wish the columns were a building. 7th feels like it captures the card except for the fact that it's just three people being saved from a roof.
On the Wrath of God debate, the nostalgia effect kicks in for me. I played a regular Revised version for 10 years before finally changing it to a beta one about 6 months ago.

I don't run Shadowmage Infiltrator right now, but I couldn't agree more on the importance of clear and up-to-date wording on cards. I just replaced my 5th Edition Sylvan Library because the "0:" makes it look like a valid target for Phyrexian Revoker or Pithing Needle.
I also just bit the bullet and replaced my old-frame Mirage version of Mystical Tutor with the FTV version because players kept trying to tutor up lands and mana rocks with it because they didn't know what "mana source" meant in the 1990's.
Having the most beautiful frames, art, and foiling processes is all well and good, but nothing screws up a game quite like the wrong wording on the cards in your cube.
I think the frame, the text box, and the ugly hedron background are enough for me to keep the original printings on those lands. Some of the new art is spectacular, but the frames ruin it for me.
I think the OG Damnation is the best. Something about the foil, not a fan of the MPR textless.

Uril, the Miststalker RGW -- Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre C -- Vhati il-Dal BG -- Jor Kadeen, the Prevailer RW -- Animar, Soul of Elements URG
Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker R -- Maga, Traitor to Mortals B -- Ghave, Guru of Spores BGW -- Sliver Hivelord WUBRG

I say run timeshift Avalanche Riders. It's a human, and that can be important from times to times for the player to know it.

The only exceptions is Dark Confidant. I somehow like the original art. I can't explain why exactly either.

I think Nissa, Vastwood Seer looks a bit better. It has TWO SIDES!
But honestly Avacyn Restored is probably the best.
