My wallet hurt when I saw those pictures. I really like the new full art styles but will have to take some time to pick them up. I want to see all of the arts. The only thing that bothers me is the size of the text box. Seems like they could of sliced 20%.
This new uber-mythic rarity that they've decided to print the Zendikar fetches at makes me really glad I got the set for my cube a few months ago while they were still relatively cheap. I won't be in any hurry to pick up these new versions if they're anywhere near as expensive as I expect them to be.
Which Path to Exile version would you run, Modern Masters pack foil, or the new FNM promo?
vs. FNM promo - Sorry, it's not on magiccards.info so I can't hotlink it.

The new Zendikar full arts look nice, the unique "ancient ruins" design on the frame is especially cool. The main problem is that they're probably going to be $100 for the non-blue fetches and $200-$300 for the blue ones, and aesthetically I probably wouldn't want to run a partial set. Not interested in dropping over $1K for a full set of these, they're nice but they're not that nice.
For Path to Exile, it's probably Guay Promo > New Promo > VvK > Original Art. I never liked the original art for PtE.
I can't decide which art I like better. On one side, I like the flavor of having a Chandra spell with a Chandra walker in cube. On the other hand, the Ugin's Fate promo Arc Lightning is rather unique and something I opened myself (small sentimental value).
Unless you have a rule against functional reprints, Flames of the Firebrand and Arc Lightning are good enough that I'd recommend running both. I pulled the KTK foil of Arch Lightning for the Ugin's Fate promo.

Path to Exile: I use the Guay one. It's one of the few cases where the art outweighs the ugly promo decorations.
Arc Lightning/Flames: I would actually use the Arena Arc Lightning if at all possible. Between those two, I'd go for the Flames of the Firebrand. You can totally run both though.
FWIW, I *greatly* prefer pack foil PtE (Conflux) over the Guay one. Usually a fan of her stuff but the lion art in foil is very, VERY nice and not quite so 'in-your-face' as Guay's is.
I don't cube but I still want to run these by you..

I've run both versions and I can't shake the feeling the new ones look a bit generic compared to the old ones, as goofy as they may be. Thinking about going back...
Definitely originals of both dredge cards. The Future Sight frame looks really cool on Bridge from Below, I'll take advantage of any excuse possible to run a Future Sight card. The old frame, water droplets, and facial expression on Breakthrough really pop on the original.
As for PtE, I agree that the Rebecca Guay version is the best, but I traded for the MMA foil in my cube and won the new FNM promo recently. If I manage to pry the Guay version out of someone's binder I'll definitely make the swap, but in the meantime I'll just stick with the disappearing kitty.
My hope is that the new Expedition fetches and shocks make the original foils drop in price a bit. They don't look as nice as the originals, so that's what I'd want to stick with.
As much as I like the promo Jitte's art, I just don't think you can beat the original art especially if you played with the card back then.
I wonder what everyone is doing with the new BFZ full art basics. Currently for my cube I have a mix of the original Zendikar full arts, foil basics from random sets, and the rest are nonfoil basics selected from sets I've had fond memories of (Original Ravnica, Kamigawa, ROE, etc). With these new full art basics from BFZ, I'll easily be able to replace my all my basic lands for cube with these new ones for very cheap. Questions is will this make my lands look too bland? Should I keep some of the nonfoil basics for sentimental value? Would just a few of these make the basic land selection look weird? Any thoughts on the issue are appreciated.
Re: Jitte - I currently run a GP promo one because I had it, but would vastly prefer a pack foil if it was available to me.
For lands: I currently run a full set of John Avon basics from Zendikar. It does make the lands feel pretty uniform, but it hasn't been an issue. If I can pick up a high quantity of foil BFZ lands at reasonable prices, though, I'll definitely be transitioning to that.
I just recently purchased a pack foil Jitte. It is an amazing foil. The price is starting to become unobtainable but my memories of jitte debatably being the best limited card ever printed was too much to not have the pack foil.
I like most of the new lands. The noah bradely mountain will definitely make it into my cube. I haven't sat down and look at all of them yet, not sure if they have all been spoiled.
Can you have two land sections? Nice foils for those interested and non foils? Seems to make more sense like that. The only thing I would suggest is to have land sets. So maybe enough for each deck to have one kind of plains, forest, etc. I personally cannot stand having 15 different arts in my mana base but thats just me

If you can't get the Guay art, I'd also opt for MMA foil over the new FNM.

I'm leaning toward pack foil here. I really wish that promo was old bordered. The colors in the art would look so good with that border.
