At the very least I'm getting a Mana Vault (first time foiling), a Mana Crypt (don't care for the Judge version) and the Scroll Rack (Commander's Arsenal foiling is horrible). Also, might get a Hangarback Walker if they're reasonable. The new Sol Ring is super nice, but I'm torn because I like the Judge version with the old art and the modern frame, makes for a nice contrast. Also torn on the Swords, because I have the Chris Rahn cycle from MM and Scars block, and I like the symmetry, but this new art is so, so pretty.
I'm a non-foiler; original pack art for the most part kind of guy, so these are a safe pass for me. They do look nice though, huge improvement from the expedition card frame.
This twitter post reveals that the Masterpieces use FTV foiling (or something that looks like it). That easily disqualifies them from any aesthetic preference discussions. It's a shame, too. Many of them look pretty cool, and I don't really mind the frame, other than that they don't look colourless though.
I guess they're still useful for the people who have a rule about having to use foil versions if they're available, but those people are deranged and can't be reasoned with.

They use the same foiling as expeditions, which is a single layer rainbow foiling process. FTV is a double layer, which is why the card seems thicker.
I'm excited for Mana Vault, Chrome Mox, Crucible of Worlds, Hangarback Walker, Lightning Greaves, Lotus Petal, Solemn. Still not sure about the swords. I think I like the Rahn cycle more. This is going to be an expensive year for cube.

In the gif, you can see that they look very much like FTV foils and not like Expeditions at all. They have those characteristic moving vertical lines in the foil.

I saw this earlier. I hope to god that this isn't true, why would they do that. I'm hoping that you're wrong but if not that is definitely a blow to these cards.
I think the idea behind this is really cool and I hope that one day they do it in a manner that I actually find appealing. I didn't care for the frames on the Expeditions and I dislike these even more. The crappy foiling process makes it even worse. I have no desire to have any of these in my list. A few of the arts are ok (I guess), but not are so great that I would prefer this to other options.
I'll consider the Swords once I see if the other 2 are in the set, but I'd prefer that they release judge promos of the other 2 That said, they've talked about the new process not meshing with the old border, so this might be the best way to get a fully matching set I like. Solemn and Crucible are a hard pass, as I can't give up Jens or the Judge version of those.
I'd second wtwlf's choices. Legends Mana Drain is so iconic and the art on the promo is so super generic. I feel the same for Force of Will. The promo is the worst possible option. I'd rather run an unaltered, unsigned, regular old Alliances pack version of Force of Will than the promo. The Terese Nielsen art on the Eternal Masters version is pretty sick, though, so I wouldn't fault anyone for running that version. We may actually move to that version as well, though I personally prefer the original Terese Nielsen art.

Just checking back on this topic from the other week. I was able to look at them in person at prerelase and they thankfully look more similar to expeditions than FTV. Still single layer rainbow foiling like the expeditions, close to FTV but not the same. I think the confusing part of the newer cards is the gold border on the edge which kind of reflects off and adds this strange flair making it seem more metallic than it actually is.
More reflection points (Gold Border) is probably the difference between these and the Expeditions (Hieroglyphic border).
I have my Hangarback that I'll be using for the cube to represent the frame. They look pretty terrible. They look like FTV foils that aren't as thick. Glad I'm only getting one.
I still have no desire to put any of these in. If my group really wanted that to be represented somehow, I think Hangarback is probably the one I'd try to acquire. I'm not a fan of the frame, the foiling, or most of the new art tbh.

Since I posted this, I've read seen some confirmation from Trick that they lookjust like FTVs (which we could already see) but don't use exactly the same process. Hopefully this means they won't curl as badly.

Chromatic Lantern, maybe Chrome Mox, Hangarback Walker, Lightning Greaves, Lotus Petal, Scroll Rack. Of those, Lantern, Petal, and Walker are nonfoil right now for me, and I like the Greaves/Rack more than the current foil options. Chrome Mox is a maybe because I like the GP foil a lot.

Mana Drain or Mana Drain Judge foil?
also,
FoW EM foil or FoW Judge foil
I have opportunity to upgrade both but I am not sure if I should
Thanks in advance
Foil Eternal Masters Force of Will (from those two).
Neither is close, IMO.

Judge foil vs. FTV Foil vs. Kaladesh Invention Foil
Personally not a big fan of the FTV one (they get a lot of hate, but some FTV cards are fine), but the other two are nice.

Apart from that, I just saw this on twitter and I am a bit concerned. Inventions opened from Japanese packs look different than the English print run counterparts.
