Voldareth, Prince of the Mysts 3BB
Legendary Creature - Vampire Rogue
Flying, Lifelink
When Voldareth, Prince of the Mysts dies, put onto the battlefield a black 1/2 bat shapeshifter Legendary Bat token with flying that has "1BB: put Voldareth, Prince of the Mysts from your graveyard to the battlefield".
4/5
Seems a bit overpowered compared to Deathpact Angel (which admittedly isn't the strongest comparison). I think you need to have the token sac though.

Would this four-card (Endless Horizons, Land Tax, Sylvan Library, Mirri's Guile) hybrid make the cut in GW?
Wayfarer's Acuity 2.0 GW
Enchantment
At the beginning of your upkeep, choose one --
Search your library for a Plains or Forest card and exile it then shuffle your library. If you would draw a card, you may instead put a land card exiled by Wayfarer's Acuity into your hand.
Look at the top two cards of your library and put them back in any order.
And a confusing and probably OP demon:
Loethra, the Soul Hunger 3.0 3UB
Legendary Creature - Demon Wizard
Cumulative Upkeep - Exile the top two cards of your library
Skip your draw step.
Flying
At the beginning of your main phase, you may put a card exiled by Loethra, the Soul Hunger into your hand.

This seems *really* strong. Like, playable at GW strong. Early game, it lets you draw perfect mana, and then when you don't need lands anymore, you get to rearrange your draws every turn? And if your topdecks are bad, it even includes its own shuffle effect.

My gut reaction on Wayfarer's Acuity was that it's not close to playable. But after some thought I think could be good enough. Having a built-in shuffle effect makes the rearrange effect that much better, and you can choose to thin out your deck and not take the land. I still don't think it's too good at 1(G/W). I like the design.
Loethra's ability is completely upside, but it fails the Dreadbore test. I could see it at 6, or maybe as a 4/4 for 5.
Added the shuffle portion to Acuity because I forgot to add it, and adjusted mana cost. Upped mana cost of the demon to 6. Getting closer?
At six the demon probably isn't quite good enough. Five seems to be the sweet spot.
However, I do not think they'll ever print a blanket "Return an exiled card you own to your hand". It should probably be a card that he specifically has exiled.

I updated the demon to be CMC 5, but I'm not sure that balances it--at 6 it seems OP albeit slightly overcosted, but I don't think it's necessarily something that should/could be adjusted by mana cost alone. Do you think a heavier upkeep trigger on the demon would cut it down to size? Instead of a cumulative upkeep, give it a blanket "top whatever cards of your library", so it actually has better pacing to mill you if you don't win before you draw an out?
1) It would probably read: "T: Add U to your mana pool and put a +1/+1 counter on Simic Botanist."
2) It wouldn't be printed with that ability. Most, if not all, T: put a +1/+1 counter on... creature's require mana to do so. Adding a mana and a counter is not going to get printed..at least not at CMC 2. Consider outlast as an ability.
Why not? It's possible as a rare or even uncommon.
For your doubt on 1), I refer to Zhur-Taa Druid. Doing like what you suggest means the +1/+1 counter cannot be responded to as it's a mana ability. That would be more powerful.
Just a few ideas to fill some of those cube slots that need help.
Spark SpewerR
Creature - Beast Elemental (M)
Haste
Whenever Spark Spewer attacks, blocks, or leaves the battlefield it deals 1 damage to each player.
(1/1)
- Hasty "2 power" 1 drop. Great bloodthirst enabler. The pings add up quick.
Seems pretty reasonable. It's got a bit of a drawback since it pings you too. I'd drop the "blocks" part though, as it's kind of unnecessary on an aggressive drop.
Mystic Infiltrator1U
Creature - Merfolk Rogue (R)
Whenever you draw more than one card during a turn Mystic Infiltrator gains +1/+1 and unblockable until end of turn. 2UU: Draw a card
(2/2)
- Gets a boost from doing what blue likes to do anyway. If you don't have the draw spell this guy also self-combos.
Do you want this to trigger off of every draw after the first? If so, you probably want a wording like "Whenever you draw a card, if it isn't the first card you've drawn this turn, <blah>". If you want it to just check if you've drawn 2 or more cards, you want "Whenever you draw a card, if it's the second card you've drawn this turn, <blah>".
This should probably be a 2/1 base or cost UU. Blue doesn't get Grizzly Bears for some reason.
Deathdealer3BB
Creature - Horror (M)
Deathtouch
When Deathdealer enters the battlefield destroy target creature.
At the beginning of each end step if a creature an opponent controls died, you may draw a card, if you do, lose life equal to that card’s converted mana cost.
(5/5)
- Sidisi, Undead Vizier meets Shadowborn Demon meets Dark Confidant. Synergizes with removal and gives you one death and draw trigger for free.
This seems *really* pushed, but Black could use a really pushed five drop. I might push the cost to 2BBB.
Also, you need to replace "draw a card" with "reveal the top card of your library and put it into your hand" so that everyone knows how much life you're supposed to be losing.
Elven TerraformerUG
Creature - Elf Druid (M)
Hexproof
When Elven Terraformer enters the battlefield target land becomes a basic land of the type of your choice as long as you control Elven Terraformer. If you control that land whenever it is tapped for mana add G or U to your mana pool.
(2/2)
-Possibly too good to print (Especially with the wild growth+ ability added on). Spreading Seas eat your heart out!
The fact that it's two colors means this *might* not be too good. I like the flexibility of it, though.
Here's one that I'd like to see:
Void Stone 2
Artifact T: Add C to your mana pool T: Exile target card in a graveyard

This mana rock seems like it would've been the perfect print for OGW, they should've done that. It works with the Ingest theme and is just graveyard hate everywhere else while ramping and providing colorless mana.
I'd like another widfire variant, do you guys think this would be any good?
Mildfire 3RR
Each player sacrifices three lands. Mildfire deals 3 damage to each creature.
or maybe something like that
Funfire 2RR
Funfire deals X damage to each creature, where X is the number of lands the player with the fewest lands controls. Each player sacrifices X lands, where X is the number ob creatures the player with the fewest creatures controls.
or this woud be great
Brownfire 4RR
Each player sacrifices all non-creature, non-artifact permanents he or she controls. The Brownfire deals an amount of damage to each creature equal to the number of permanents it's controller sacrificed that way.
Void Stone is probably too strong for Oath, to be quite honest.
Funfire seems confusing, and it's likely to only destroy 1-2 lands for each player (as the Wildfire player tends to slam one big creature and then Wildfire), while at the same time it's likely to deal 4 damage which will kill most 3 drops you can curve into it. That seems suboptimal.
Brownfine similarly seems confusing, and probably a bit overpowered. Red shouldn't really be hitting enchantments, and this is almost guaranteed to be a wrath on top of an Armageddon and an Enchantment/Walker sweep. It's also got very little room to build around it as it only works with artifacts.

I imagine black gets to play around animating artifacts and Living Weapons.
Hopefully with "Return to Phyrexia" we will get black dabbling with artifacts.

Has anyone ever designed a card that was identical or eerily similar to a card that has become a cube staple? I'm sure something must have but I'm just wondering ( and 555 pages is a lot of pages to go through)

If green could get a little more aggressive with their artifact/enchantment/land hate I'd jam it in my cube so fast I'd have to wear a wrist brace. This thing is probably either busted or total junk, but here's a starting point:
Design Flaw GG
Sorcery
Destroy target artifact or enchantment.
Kicker 2 - Search target player's library for up to one equipment card and exile it. Then that player shuffles his or her library.
Kicker 2G - Destroy target land

Seconded for random. Repeated returning is already very good so random is correct.
That said, I prefer that it exiles two cards in your graveyard at random, then return something at random.
On Unearth Artifact:
My preference would be to exile artifact card in a graveyard, and put a token in its place.
