On that, I design this card before. Not sure on the power level of the card, but I myself think it's a nice jab for design (but I'm probably biased.)
I was mostly looking for a creature that can be used by every cheat card in the cube (Show and Tell, Tinker, Natural Order, Sneak Attack, Reveillark, Imperial Recruiter,...) and tried to jam it in the 6cc slot, because there is only a lonely giant in there.
Maybe someone has posted this before, but I would really like a land cycle like this:

Scry 1. ~ gains T Add 1 to your mana pool
I think this card is comparable to the fetch lands. It won't let you trim the land count in your deck and it can't find a true dual land like fetches can, but you also don't have to pay 1 life.
Maybe the last option makes it too good though?
That's a strong land. I do think it might be a little bit too powerful, since you'd want to play them even in monocolor decks; then again, without the last ability, I don't know how high they'd be on my list for cube. Probably about 4th behind duals, fetches, and shocks; the low opportunity cost makes up for the low level of fixing provided.

Yeah, I added the last scry ability because I thought it needed something, but maybe it is good enough without it. I would really like a land cycle with a design like this though :).

Yeah, that's almost definitely too strong. It's especially annoying that in a hypothetical Standard format with a full cycle of these, any mono-colored deck you'd build would start with 16 of these. That by itself is probably reason enough not to print these.
I've been brainstorming a bit about how to make +1/+1 counters a mini-archetype in Cube. For that to be the case I think we need at least one other card that's good enough that any Cube would play it.

This seems pretty strong. If you curve any one-drop into it, it's a 3/2 and makes your one drop +1 power (swinging immediately). I guess it's probably not "broken" considering how many abilities they slapped on Avatar of the Resolute, but it is mighty strong.
I think something that is needed is a +1/+1 counter synergy one drop. Maybe something like:

I don't know if the answer to greens six-drop problem is to print what is essentially a better-95%-of-the-time mirari's wake.
I'd test mirari's snake as +1/+1 and trample, but I'd still like it to be better on an empty board. I feel like I can never be happy with a green 6 drop. I want that slot to do so much for the cube. I feel like I want a card like Baneslayer angel for the 4GG spot, something that redefines what a powerful card is.
Trostani's summoner is the way I'd want a token supporting 6 drop to go though.

I'd test mirari's snake as +1/+1 and trample, but I'd still like it to be better on an empty board. I feel like I can never be happy with a green 6 drop. I want that slot to do so much for the cube. I like Trostani's Summoner too. This one is overkill though. Bump each body's P/T down by one (4/4, 3/3, 2/2, 1/1), cut the keywords on the tokens, choose one keyword for the main body, and it'll still be super freaking playable and printable

I'd like to think of Liliana's Verdict as black's combat/protection trick. I know that some black weenies are resilient but most of the 1cmc ones aren't. This also gives possibilities to locks and auras. The discard portion is purely value/bonus. I would favor a random discard but am afraid it might be too good.
On that, I design this card before. Not sure on the power level of the card, but I myself think it's a nice jab for design (but I'm probably biased.)
