I contacted the company and the interior dimensions are 3.5 in by 3.5 inches. Is this large enough to hold sleeved cards? They have a variety of boxes with various modifications. If they work out, I think they would make great cube boxes.
Honestly, if I really wanted to get a wooden box, I would just go to Home Depot and make one myself. Get the right wood, sand it, put some varnish, and get everything to fit the way I wanted it, including dividers and stuff like that.
(I'm not sure that I do want it. Most of the time I'm probably just going throw it all in a back pack in the normal cardboard cheapy boxes.)
Just got to say, you've definitely earned distinction as an MTGS hero

But seriously, there don't seem to be any custom wood box makers in Germany :<
What a shame. I'd probably be wary of getting one anyways, though, because I'd not be sure whether my cube will still be the same size in 5 years or even in 2 and I'd like it to fit perfectly when I spend a lot of money to get a unique box.

I spent $4 and $6 on getting two (not that fancy) boxes made. If they ever crap out, or I want something different, I think next time I'll go to the local joiner/woodworker, who is the father of someone I know, and get one made of better wood.
that hand carved wine box was less than $25 and that was just an example. There are tons of places to find these things and the flavor of some of them is awesome. I saw a 4 bottle wooden case with a whole fishing village scene stamped on it! It was cheep too!

You've got to be careful though because some of the wine boxes I've seen weren't wide enough to fit the cards.
I'm a really simple person when it comes to storing my Magic cards, but I thought I'd post anyway. This is what I'm using:
If anyone just wants to know what size box to get, this is a "550 box" and it perfectly fits a 360 Cube. All of my cards are double-sleeved with KMC Perfect Fits & KMC Super Blues.
I rarely cube with more than 5 people, so I couldn't resist buying up a set of 55mm Jumbo Dice. You'll need a large 5" x 8" dice bag, but all five dice will fit inside.
Above is a "330 box" that holds roughly 35-40 of each basic land. There's still some room and it can probably fit 40 of each if you want a good solid number of land. The deck box holds my token creatures and the small dice bag just has some random d6's and d10's.
I prefer these standard cardboard boxes to anything else because if I want to bring my cube anywhere, I just have to throw all of the above into a back pack and I'm good to go.
---
I just wanted to post my cube and to put out some specifics for cheap storage options. It's not a big deal but I wish I had these numbers when I was first buying up a few things. I could have saved myself a couple of dice bags (that I don't use).
Here's my case. It's a camera case with pick and pluck foam. More than big enough for my 600 card cube.
Perfect Fit sleeves and awesome Dek Prot clear outer sleeves. I like the original card backs, hence the clear sleeves - though this does make double face cards interesting. Dek Prot sleeves are the cheapest sleeves available on a certain auction website. They are durable, not prone to ripping, and inexpensive to replace.
I also have 8 black playmats to play on so the card pimp pops more and to keep the sleeves clean since table surfaces invariably are grimy.
They look cool, but a few things I would suggest. They need latches of some sort, if that thing flies open, you can ruin a lot of expensive cards. Also price point is really high for what seems to be a wooden box(although very nice) with a few magnets(im guessing to hold it somewhat closed?).

For all those interested in wine boxes: There are only a few boxes that won't fit a card in width, they are pretty cheap, durable and look nice, but the length might be problematic in some single 0,75l bottle boxes. I have a 540 cube with 200 lands, swamps and islands don't fit in, so it's 660 cards. A normal length wine box should hence be perfect for a 450 cube.
(In my case, swamps and islands lie on top of the other cards as the height of the box is just enough.)
Do you american heathens measure wine in gallons too btw? ^^
That's an interesting thought. I store my basics separately, so that just might work for me. I'll need to look into that, as my ratty cardboard box really needs to be retired.
Also: It varies based on who you talk to in my experience, but I've never heard of wine measured in gallons. Most people can't drink a gallon of wine and still be standing.

Check out the thread for my cube if you have the time, and tell me how terrible it is.
Generals meant to be drafted first in a single pack of 6 cards.
And here is the actual cube, meant to be drafted in 4 regular sized packs. (60 card decks)
Since I lack a decent camera, I will simply link a picture to such a box since it is of a mass-produced variety:
So yeah, basically a Conspiracy box I won when we hosted a draft for its contents and I won both drafts. I reinforced its insides and bottom with some packaging tape but it is a perfect fit for my 360 Peasant Cube and 60 of each basic land type.
My 360 card cube and land are all in green, the cube's tokens are in yellow, and I still had room left for my dice bag, 2 commander decks and 2 constructed decks.
Nice job. However, I like having different sleeves for my tokens. I know my zombies are in purple, and my soldiers in gold. Makes it easier to find the ones I want.
I just received the Ultra Pro Mox Cub3 and while it is probably one of the most aesthetically pleasing Magic products I've owned it is definitely NOT worth getting if you plan on bringing your cube outside of your house. It was much larger then I thought and large enough that it won't fit in a standard backpack which is a huge issue considering that there is no way to carry it comfortably by hand. Even lifting the box off a table gets awkward since the only way to pick it up is by lifting it from the sides and when filled with cards it will EASILY slip out of your hands due to the slipper exterior of the box. The fact that it is cube shaped makes it really weird wrap your hands around to carry from the bottom, and you will have to carry it from the bottom if you plan on transporting it. Overall I'm ok with the purchase since I don't really plan on taking my cube around that much and it looks amazing when displayed but if I did plan on taking it around almost anything of the other storage solutions in this thread would be more useful then this.
Hello everyone. I am currently working on reproducing wtwlf123's powered cube and I am looking for suggestions for storage. It's a 540 card cube + 30 basics of each color + tokens. Hopefully with some room to spare for dice or whatever else. Thanks
EDIT: I live in Canada if that matters.
I had posted the above in the stickied thread. Figured this might also get some attention. Thanks to any who post suggestions!

Juju Alters - Altered MTG Cards
First is that the company has the lowest BBB rating obtainable due to fraudulant practices.
Second is that they will not answer any emails
and third trying to check out through the website triggers a warning that the checkout is unsafe and unsecure.
I seen this a while ago and thought I would share.
