After a couple of days of letting the first poll run, it was obvious that (in a 2:1 showing) that people did want the lists segergated from the non list thread. So this poll will be to determine how it's done.
1. All cube lists will be in the main forum, everything else will be in the sub forum.
2. All cube lists will be in the sub forum, everything else will be in the main forum.

Will the two stickies be in the cube list forum? If the answer is no, I would like to add that as an option. Otherwise, I vote for neither.
The two stickes would still be stickied. Where they would be stickied hasn't been decided. I'm leaning towards keeping them in the main forum regardless of outcome.
I really don't understand the need for change either.
Whats not working?
Moving the cube lists to the sub-forum is the worst of two bad options.
The projects forums isn't working. Right now only a couple of threads see any postings while everything else just sits towards the bottom. If we segregated into two forums Lists would stay on the front page for a longer period of time and the "everything else" page would get more active threads.

I voted for cube lists in main forum as long as the stickies stay. The way I see it they're important information for all cube lists and a no-mans-land to discuss one-off strategies and card choices.
So do I. The stickies and the cube lists are all what's really important. Then if people want to take part in the special projects, there's a sub-forum for them to do so.
Maybe I'm just being dense, but I don't see how it matters that much which is in the main forum and which is int the sub-forum. If a person wants to see lists, he will go to the forum that has the lists, whether or not it's a sub-forum. If a person wants to see discussion and projects, he will go to the forum that has discussion and projects, once again whether or not it's a sub-forum. So long as the two are separated and have a clear delineation between them, I don't see why one arrangement would be especially preferable to the other.
So do I. The stickies and the cube projects are all that's really important. Then if people want to take part in trawling through cube lists, there's a sub-forum for them to do so.
Fixed.
Also, I would say that Eidolon's composite cube results thread is probably as important (if not moreso) to have stickied in the main forum as the discussion stickys.
Too bad that it seems like stickies will stay in main forum with lists though, I would like to see only the ULTIMATE sticky in the main with lists and the rest of the stickies in the forum without lists.
Agreed with Yugular on this one. I think the stickies belong in whichever forum is the one for discussion not whichever one is for lists.

I just don't get this. The stickies are specifically for one-off questions that aren't worthy of a thread which are usually based on questions around formats and card selections specific to a user's cube or other's experiences. How exactly does this not belong in the cube list forum again?
Doing it any other way will be obnoxious, IMO. Moving them from the main forum will detract users from visiting individual cube threads.

Strange, my opinion is pretty much the exact opposite. The sticky threads are there for discussion, of the cube format in general and of card evaluation specifically. As they are discussion rather than cube lists, it doesn't makes sense at all to place them in the cube lists forum rather than the discussion forum.
I really don't see how placing the stickies in the forum with cube lists is more likely to make people look at cube lists. If I want to look at lists, I will look at lists. If not, I won't. Tricky or clever placement of the stickies isn't going to do anything to change this.

At any given time in the past year there are maybe 3-4 threads on the main page which are not cube lists, and only a couple of them are really all that active (seriously, go count). That is not a lot. I don't see how hard it is to just remove the few small threads that are there and leave the stickies. I like posting that way. I'd love to see the extra threads removed. I just don't understand how they're project related. Project forum is for bigger picture stuff. The stickies are for one-offs related to individual cube threads and experiences. How is that appropriate anywhere but on the main list page?

(Underlined for emphasis.)The reason I would classify the stickies in the non-list forum is quite simple; the proposed change isn't a division between cube lists and project threads. To quote the descriptions of options in this thread's first post:
1. All cube lists will be in the main forum, everything else will be in the sub forum.
2. All cube lists will be in the sub forum, everything else will be in the main forum.
(Underlined again for emphasis.)
The division being voted on is between lists and everything else. The stickies are clearly not cube lists, thus they fall under the label of "everything else". Why not classify them as such?
There are a lot of threads that are not about someone's list and it would probably be even longer if people would create a separate thread instead of posting in the discussion thread / if the mods would move longer discussion about single cards (like the Venser debate in kojiro's thread) where they belong.

That's a good point. With that in mind, it might even be a good idea to close and/or archive the "official cube discussion thread" to encourage such discussions to occupy their own threads. Causing such subjects to occupy threads of their own would make topics infinitely easier to find and without the cube threads taking so much space, the individual discussion threads would be able to stay around longer to elicit more discussion (with more depth) of their particular topics.
People's cubes should be at the forefront of discussion. Other topics can be discussed in the subforum. I want people's lists to be right out in the open.
The stickies belong on either A) the main page or B) whichever page is receiving the most traffic (which should likely be the main page).
However, I'd say a number of the projects are more important to the masses than any individual cube list, namely being the cube comparison, cube evaluations and community drafts.
I'd say that it's more likely that the cube lists themselves maintain traffic in a subforum than vice versa. And if it doesn't work, so be it. Switch things back. As it is, the projects threads are mostly dead, but I feel like they have the most potential for discussion.
I voted for lists in the main, everything else in the sub. It doesn't really affect me which forum the two big stickies are in since I visit them via my subscription from my CP, but I believe that they should go where the discussion is and not where the lists are. I could see eidolon's comparison thread going into the main forum with the lists since it's comparing said lists, but I don't really understand why the other two would go there.
The main forum would be for cube lists, not for individual card discussion (which is what the card eval thread is) and not for random cube stories, discussion, and announcements (which is what the official discussion thread is). Those types of conversations make more sense in a general discussion forum than in a lists forum, regardless of importance, IMO.
Either way, I would still vote for lists in the main and everything else in the sub. Like I said, it won't affect my browsing one bit if the stickies are in the main, but I am definitely of the opinion that they should go where the discussion is and not where the lists are.

Maybe I'm using my list thread wrong, but my list thread is almsot entirely for record keeping with some discussion when I make changes, but even my thread isn't really where I do much discussion, much less other people's threads.
To me the stickies are a place to discuss general cube things, just like the rankings or whatever.
A lot of great discussion (IMO, the best discussion) takes place inside the lists themselves. They are the bulk and body of the cube forum, IMO. And it's what people come to the cube forum to look at ...cubes.

Agreed. People who aren't checking the list threads are missing out a lot of good conversation about the cube and it's ins and outs.
When I see Healing Salve, I'm often like "Oh girl, I wish I could turn every card into this." Thanks they removed the gain life part, otherwise this would have been broken.

There are 5 threads on the main page which aren't lists aside from stickies. When I counted yesterday there were 3.
