It can be a good idea, my brain skipped it for some reason. It helps hitting our land drops like Arguel would do. It can also be a replacemnt of Mimic if the card isn't decent enough.

To be honest, I've even been trying to brew around using Gideon, Martial paragon and Gideon's Resolve in the deck if it grinds long enough. Angel of Invention as an anthem creature is kind of risky due to the 3 toughness at 5 mana, but an enchantment that just +1/+1 anthems the board and a Walker that can strait up untap the field with that many ways to make new tokens could work. It's probably a B-grade thing, but with wizards now downgrading walkers to the level of Hautli, Warrior Poet he can be a possible inclusion as a walker along with Liliana, Death's Majesty.
If anyone is wondering why I got Grind // dust in the sideboard instead of something more direct, it works on pirates due to them having a lot of x/1 creatures and if someone is playing dinosaurs they can be used in conjunction with Banewhip Punisher to stop enrage triggers. It can also double as a inefficient way to remove indestructible threats.
Haven't worked out lands yet and not even sure of the numbers on the cards, but I thought I'd throw it out there.
1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
Dusk // Dawn is probably a must in the deck as well, it's so easy to come back from dino, counter and energy decks with it.
In my testing, Sunmare can go crazy with Temple of Aclazotz, or Mavren Fein, Dusk Apostle, and each token turns into a horse. Rather satisfying.
With Dusk, no need for Vona anymore as a sudden, so I can go 4x Sunmare and feel right.
The main problem I see is the mana tensions in the early turns. I want to play Gifted Aetherborn and Legion's Landing but we miss a crucial dual land. So I play 4x Aether Hub along with Aethersphere Harvester. Not stellar. Here's where I am with the deck :

Is 24 lands too many ? More Gideons is tempting in the main (-1 Dusk, considering it's bad in control MUs).
Keep in mind that you can't activate Mavren Fein, Dusk Apostle with a token vampire. He needs a non-token vampire to swing in to work right. That's why I keep playing Duskborne Skymarcher: It's the only other evasive vampire we have right now.

Oh yeah I missed that. Trying too many things at once makes me forget stuff I once knew...
I'd rather have Skyblade of the Legion to survive Ballista though. It would also decently block small flyers in case of (pirates, Angel of Invention, etc...). Adanto Vanguard costs too much life for the same synergy with Mavren.
