So there's not a doubt in my mind that aggro will become a thing again in Standard. With all the graveyard hate and added removal we've gotten from AKH, Mardu Vehicles, 4C Saheeli, and BG Delirium will be severely neutered leaving aggro a viable Tier 1 deck option. No doubt the aggro deck poised to come out on top will involve having R in it. The question is, which one? RG Energy is still a strong option (along with BG Energy for that matter) but I think we can do better! Even though the full Amonkhet spoiler isn't up yet, there's strong card choices we can play with right now. But first, the deck:
So this deck is mostly Mono Red Aggro with a splash of U for Stormchaser Mage and Cartouche of Knowledge. The Cartouche helps us draw gas and maintain evasion while allowing damage to get through. Hanweir Garrison gives us extra creatures we can enchant, although I'm wondering if it's better to play spells that generate creature tokens instead? Can't think of any in R right now. Deck maxes out at 3 CMC, so I think its safe to run 20 lands. I wanted to add some Cycle lands, but just couldn't see the point/don't have room for them. Can't afford to have too many lands entering the battlefield tapped since we're playing aggro.
If in blue why not run Fevered Visions? while it allows your opponent to draw cards it also cause them to take damage. Throne of the God-Pharaoh could also potentially find a place here, since you'll have a lot of tapped creatures. You could go all in on humans and add a white splash for Thalia's Lieutenant and some more combat tricks, along with the new Dusk//Dawn card which will do more damage to your opponents while giving you a late game recursion option. Combat Celebrant could also find a home here.

Fevered Visions is far too slow. Visions decks were/are tempo burn decks and have nothing to do with aggro. Throne of the God-Pharaoh works better in decks that tap creatures for reasons other than combat. Like creatures that tap for mana, or decks that utilize the Improvise mechanic. I didn't splash white because it would spred the mana base too thin, and the last thing we need is a bunch of lands entering the battlefield tapped just so we have three colors. I thought about running Celebrant, but the deck is already running a little lite on creatures as is, which is why I went with Hanweir Garrison in its place instead.
Originally, the title of this thread was UR Prowess Aggro vs RW Aura Aggro. I was gonna make a comparison between the two deck ideas I had, but decided not to because I didn't yet have a deck created for the RW build. The cards it contained were/are:
The strategy would be to go wide as opposed bigger. I'm still waiting to see what other Embalm creatures we'll be getting from the AKH before I start making the deck. Thanks for the suggestions!
Flameblade Adept seems underwhelming, since you'll not be using its ability without the lightning axe from sb. Village Messenger might be a better fit until the next rotation
I honestly think Rb stands a chance to return. 3 good red 1 drops including the bomat courier flame adept combo. Soul-scar mage makes ground pounding much more favorable in the mid game. Black would give you bicycles lands and might even make scourge wolf viable. Unfortunately none of the aftermarh cards br might want are insyant+sorcery.

And you may be right. Two decks I see emerging are RB aggro/burn and Jeskai Auras.

You're right, but I think Slither Blade is even better than Messenger. Suit him up with any of the auras in the deck and go to town!
