I run two to three Midnight Oil and a singleton Key to the City in my Standard Rogue Brew (Mardu Vehicles is my normal option), and I greatly appreciate Midnight Oil and to a lesser degree Key to the City for their ability to power my draws and get things into my graveyard for recursion. Do people think Midnight Oil might see some real play with Discard Matters being a thing?
The following cards seem to have favorable interactions with Midnight Oil: Archfiend of Ifnir - Allows you to turn each of the two cards you draw a turn into "Pay one life: Put a -1/-1 counter on each creature your opponents control." Hazoret the Fervent - Allows you to turn Hazoret the Fervent into a creature and provides more cards to pitch to her ability. Drake Haven - Allows you to turn each of the two cards you draw a turn into "Pay one mana & one life: Create a 2/2 flyer at EOT."
While there may be many reasons why this won't work well enough for tournament play, does anyone see an interaction so far that I am missing?
I do like the direction you are headed, however suicidal decks like you are describing and say Death's Shadow, can go drastically wrong if you face sufficiently strong control. I know of no current Tier1 Standard Control decks so I say sky's the limit for now.

Can you post a proposed list?
