So, like a lot of people, with the spoilers that keep coming in fast from M15 I have simply fallen in love with the idea of superfriends. Also, with upcoming WMCQ's in Scotland, I wanted to get a deck ready quickly for the new meta and though Aggro probably would be easier, I've wanted to get better at brewing and set myself a challenge. And after some prelim testing I think this deck can be tweaked and twisted to become tier 1.
The first version of the deck I tested all day yesterday, worked under the assumption of the first Judges comment of no infinite combo available from the use of the Veil. The deck list I ran was.
Overall this deck performed quite well, it showed the ability to clear the board and stabilize against opponents. Though I did find I often lacked blue mana to play Kiora, which would have won me some of the games I lost. Note, I didn't have a sideboard for these games, not exactly sure where my weaknesses lie. Overall, the testing gave me confidence to push forward with brewing. Waking up this morning to find that the infinite combo was in fact legal caused me to change the deck design to something I still need to do some testing with.
This new deck has slightly less early spot removal, but now with ral zarek has an easier time dealing with other walkers as well as having access to the infinite veil combo.
Will hopefully come back and edit/post more as the testing progresses as well as when I start designing the sideboard. But what do you guys think.
