Here is a "discard deck" list I have been toying with. I know its "weak" vs aggro BUT, that is what the SB is for and which I am currently building. This deck is ... prolly not gonna win anyone any tournaments BUT, it'll piss some people off 8P I just WISH they reprinted Megrim lmfao!
I love this list but I feel that your giving your opponent too much card advantage. you should also cut vess to two and grab pack rat or some other creature

Its not really card advantage when they are taking dmg from Fate Unraveler and giving you cards/creatures from Waste Not, as I said though, prolly not a "winner" but its fun for casual lol!
It's downside used to be that your opponent could still get their creature back in return for giving you massive card advantage (Which to be honest, isn't much of a downside).
Now however, with Waste not it becomes even more grim for them.

-Your friendly neighbourhood Rogue Deck Builder (no relation to the Youtuber).
Great place to get Anime, Figurines, Comics and Magic The Gathering cards in South Africa: www.heroesofgc.com
I think it's awful that they decided to print Waste Not just as Shrieking Affliction is about to rotate out. I think that Discard, as a deck format, needs a Rack-like effect to be viable.
You guys are doing it wrong. If you really want to live the dream, here's your magical christmas-land draw:
Turn One - Thoughtsieze (clear the path to victory!)
Turn Two - Waste Not (this is the whole point, yeah?)
Turn Three - Master of the Feast (him 'feeding' them is actually a really strong ability, considering you want them to have cards to discard, but really he's just here to enable the next play...)
Turn Four - Swing with Master of the Feast (duh, we want our damage), then... Tormented Thoughts! What's that? Take 5, discard your hand, and give me a random grab bag of zombies, drawn cards, and/or free mana?
I don't see it as too wasteful especially if the opponent has at least 2 creatures in their hand. If you draw into a shrieking affliction you have the potential to play it turn 4 alongside the tormented thoughts which in the end would most likely give them a near empty hand 8 points of damage and leave you with 2/2 black zombies, mana, or a heap of cards to work with.
true but your losing your 5/5 flyer and your t4. it's sorcery speed so you cant react to removal, and at max the opponent will have 3-4 cards.(providing they hit land drops.) and its a waste of 2-3 card spots which could be better used for other good three-drops. I will put three in the side against control if it somehow exists post rotation.

oh I also made another thread for this in the normal SDC discussion forum. the link right below. If you guys would like to comment please go there. Thank you
Without a B/U shell including ***** like Dakra Mystic and possibly Dictate of Kruphix, I can't see a good reason to run 4 Waste Not....I'm actually considering if even 3 is a good thing.....2 for sure, but it's not something I'd ever want to see multiples of during a game, with the exception of B/U shell where putting extra cards in your opponents hands is a good thing.

Agreed, Shrieking Affliction did a lot of work in this deck when I first tried it. Rotation in a couple of months was bothering me, so I'm trying to make a rotation-friendly version. Instead of the Shrieking Affliction effect on 0-1 cards in their hand, I figured I'd try going the other way with Master of the Feast and Fate Unraveler to punish draws, since Master works well here anyhow, being a big evasive body and giving the opponent cards to Waste Not. Sign In Blood can be used interestingly with Unraveler too. The other issue I had with this deck was getting the cards that I want when I want. Diabolic Tutor was useful but way too slow, and it also rotates out, so I replaced with Disciple of Deceit, which is doing a ton of work for me. I also decided to keep the mana curve really low which helps the Disciple and gets me a couple of extra options. Included a couple of Aqueous Form to keep the Disciple swinging or to force through the Master/Unraveler if need be:
ETA of course the Watery Graves will come out with rotation too. I was also up in the air about the Pharika's Cure vs Bile Blight because it's more effective, but the cure gets me back some of the life I lose to Thoughtseize/Sign In Blood and is fine against aggro and whatnot. And after giving it a few playtests in the form above I don't think it has enough discard... the Master/Unraveler interaction works, but I took out discard stuff to get 4 of both. I had Siren of the Silent Song in an earlier version, maybe he goes back in. Work in progress.
ETA 2: I've been having a bit more luck with a tweaked version:
2 disciple of Phenax
4 gray merchant of asphodel
4 herald of Torment
3 master of the feast
3 black cat
3 waste not
4 Hero's downfall
2 mind rot
4 thoughtseize
2 whip of erebos
3 Shrieking Affliction
2 liliana vess
Lands:24
24 swamps
made a small update for the tourmentor.
