"If the exiled card is a God card, tell your opponent to stop using a Yu-Gi-Oh! deck."
Kidding. But really, I think that this may go into sideboards, depending on a person's meta. Thassa is a cornerstone of mono-blue, and Ephara in blue-white agro (less common but still a thing). For the most part, Revoke Existence is good enough to handle God and can remove other troublesome enchantments like Detention Sphere and Underworld Connections. Still, this is instant speed and can exile your opponent's other Gods too, so that can be card advantage.

Even if this card just read "exile target enchantment" "Instant" it would still be leaps and bounds better than revoke exsistance which is seeing mainboard play right now. Look at how many relevant creatures this hits too. Courser of Kruphix, New 5/5 Demon, Herald of Torment, New 2/3 reach spider. On top of that, you can instant speed remove a detention sphere to get your blocker back? Card is THE NUTS!
Edit: I think you guys need to read it again. The whole part about exiling gods is optional. Just imagine it doesn't have that text at all. This card will be main board at least a 1 of in all white midrange/control decks.

Exactly. Most of the relevant artifacts (which Revoke can hit) are enchantments as well. This hits ANY enchantment, not just gods.
Honestly, I think that we have all had our fun with indestructable gods. But I think this card just being printed will push them out of the format the exact same way that bile blight tour a hole in pack rat. Just the threat of this card makes someone stop and really think about putting a card like xenagos in their deck.

What am I thinking, lol! Revoke Existence sees SB play. This is pretty much Revoke Existence+, so this will see play, no question.
Edit: Second derp. Revoke Existence hits artifacts. Either way, not many non-enchantment artifacts are seeing play anyway, so Deicide is looking good as SB tech.

4 copies of Pack Rat in every recent Mono-Black top 8, think again.
On topic I hate this card. It *****s on Mono-Blue with no opportunity cost, being an almost strictly better Revoke Existence to go along with all the hate. It also puts a strong damper on Athreos, God of Passage and his $30 "gonna change the format" status. Building decks around Gods now looks foolish, and UWx Control gets to greedily add this to their already brimming sack of goodies.
I really like this card. Goes straight into UW/x Control and replaces Revoke Existence.
This will also be likely the final nail in the coffin for Blue Devotion. The matchup was already bad against Control but this is just evil. Also will everybody who heralds Athreos, God of Passage a dampener too.

This card can remove those enchantments too. It doesn't say "exile target God", it says "exile target enchantment". This can actually more-or-less replace Revoke Existence straight-up, I'm struggling to think of many non-enchantment artifacts that really are even a problem in Standard right now. Maybe Hall of Triumph will be one, but it's legendary so it's not like decks can just jam 4 copies of it anyways.
This is really a do nothing Card, you can only play it against U devotion. Thassa is the only target for it.
This makes this card even worse than the new O.ring and Revoke Exsitince and in my Oppinion not even worth to concider.
Uh what? Many of the U-devotion decks are splashing white for Detention Sphere which this card hits as well so it's far from only killing Thassa. Other relevant cards it hits include Underworld Connections, Whip of Erebos, Hammer of Purphoros, Courser of Kruphix, Chained to the Rocks just off the top of my head and there's probably more too.
It is a really good card and I find it amusing that people are getting wrapped up in the god flavor text of the card and not paying attention to the fact that it is an instant speed enchantment removal and in some cases creature removal.
This card will certainly see some play, even if it is not in the MB.

Yeah Im asking myself whats up with people. Cant they read the card correctly?
It basically says 1W - Instant
Exile target enchantment.
If it is a god Lobotomy them.
Pretty much none of those see play outside of Pithing Needle (sideboard card), Elixir (since Revoke is a sorcery anyways they'll just get to use it in response in most scenarios), and Ratchet Bomb (another sideboard card, and again they could use it in response still albeit maybe not to the effect they wanted) so I'd be pretty comfortable running Deicide and not being able to hit them.

Yeah, sorry I just honestly wanted to give a shoutout to some pseudo-playable jank. Deicide has no real opportunity cost in this format, and is essentially a strictly better Revoke Existence, which already sees sideboard and 1-of maindeck play.
Oh sorry, I forgot, Godsend. Most relevant miss I can think of.
Revoke Existence did not see play in the Mds, not because it was sorcery, but because it's narrow. In the same way this card is just narrow. I DO think this is still a strict upgrade to Revoke and god-part might even be relevant in UWx vs U-devotion matches. Mut MD? No way.
Seems like a straight replacement for revoke existence in esper sideboards - gives esper control more reach against monoblue + a good answer to erebos in monoblack. If you run revoke in the board or main, you straight replace it with this.
I mean it's clear enough that the only deck this is really huge against is MUD. The rest of the god decks don't actually care if the god is on the table because the deck works anyway. MUD is thassa and MoW. Take one away or the other and the deck is just mana-pip jank. If this card sees widespread SB inclusion I imagine MUD will largely stop being a thing competitively.
In other news this card would have been so cool flavour-wise if the block had had more Thassa-power gods in it, and we were all complaining at this point that the gods were dominating the format, and suddenly this incredible tool to kill them comes along just as the plot calls for it.
Instead, they should have printed a card that slaughter-gamesed peoples' thoughtseizes in this way. Now that would have impacted the meta.
Getting some god hate... I love it! So, is this going into everyone's decks now?
Nope, it is too narrow.
Storm Crow is strictly worse than Seacoast Drake.

and of course this wrecks thassa, xenagod, ephara, and other gods (i.e. athreos and iroas who both are looking very scary)

And I dont know if people have noticed that but there are a ton of enchantments around and there will be even more after Journey gets released. Underworld Connections, Courser of Kruphix, Bident of Thassa, Assemble the Legion, Herald of Torment, Boon Satyr, Nighthowler, all the god weapons etc. just to name a few we already have and are seeing play.

quite confused about the people saying it's too narrow
2-of SB in every deck with white
too narrow for MD

I pretty clearly said SB, right there in my post. the post you quoted. if you'll look. at the post. with your eyes.
