Dragonlord Atarka is just a big value creature, and being able to Whip her back just adds to that value. However, a deck can only handle so many 7-drops, so she's only a 2-of.
I opted to go with Hornet Queen over the 3rd Dragonlord Atarka because of the synergy with Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury. Swinging the tokens in for 4 is nice and all, but swinging in for 8 alongside Kolaghan is better. Kolaghan also has the added benefit of being useful against Control by avoiding sorcery-based removal, or forcing an unexpected trade with Dragonlord Ojutai if they don't want to take the 5 damage.
Crater's Claws is a way to close out a game if attacking isn't an option. It can be found and ferocious-enabled by Sidisi, Undead Vizier which can let you win out of nowhere if your opponent's health is low enough.
I run something similar, but built around Siege Rhino. Just a suggestion, but try Surrak, the Hunt Caller instead of Tasigur. The haste is awesome with Atarka.
Is Surrak, the Hunt Caller that good in a Whip shell? I've played with him in Abzan and GW Aggro decks, and he rarely stays around for more than a turn.
He works better for me than Tasigur, but then I do a lot more with the graveyard so I always have too much to return in there to activate his ability. I'll just get a Caryatid or Wayfinder back.
How are you finding Kolaghan works against Control? Does the Dash keep them under pressure?
You need lots of Delve alongside Tasigur to really take advantage of him, so you might be correct that Surrak would be better. He isn't that great of a Whip target, but Kolaghan's Command returns a creature to hand which can allow for bigger plays.
I haven't been able to test the deck out yet because I'm still missing a few cards. Luckily, a friend is going to let me borrow them to use at FNM this week, and hopefully at a PPTQ on Sunday (if I go).
someone at my local meta is splashing for just atarka in sidisi whip (couple red cards in side idr which)
he's been succsesful with it and intends to take it to SCG open portland.
I've seen lists like that around. They run a couple Frontier Bivouac for the red sources, too.
I played Sidisi Whip for a while and didn't like it. Maybe I wasn't playing the deck correctly, but she whiffed a lot and died to everything. If I ended up splashing a fourth color it would be White for Siege Rhino, which I think some people are already splashing Red in Abzan for Atarka, anyway.

Den Protector, Kolaghan's Command, Whip of Erebos, and Soul of Innistrad all help to ensure that nothing going to the graveyard will stay there for long. The Command + Protector interaction is pretty strong by itself.
