How about some Risen Executioner in the sideboard instead of rabble? I've played a ton of Esper Dragon / UB dragon in my area, and no one I've played really had a solid/consistent answer for him.. the recursion is pretty nuts.
Just finished my FNM, went 3-2 because i got mana flooded against ******* control.
Round 1: Red Aggro 2-0
Game 1 he got me down to nine, stabilized with thunderbreaks and servants until i could whipe the board with a crux. build dragons for a lethal swing.
Game 2 i got the removal sweet and servants to prevent much damage to come through. Anger of the gods is a key card as it killed rabblemasters and a zurgo.
Round 2: G/W lifegain 1-2
Game 1 he made a perfect curve, t1 mystic t2 raptor, t3 surrak (Got cut before attack), t4 whisperwood. Hordling outbursts stalled but was unable to mount an offensive.
Game 2 i came out with rabblemaster, netting 6 damage by turn 4. dual thunderbreaks and crux did the rest of the work.
Game 3 was another good curve for him.
Round 3: Abzan aggro 2-0
Game 1: no drop until t2 for him. draconic roar did most of the work. Thunderbreaks became leathal after t6. to be fair, he was missing land 4
Game 2: Repeat of the first, thunderbreaks and a lack of mana for him
Round 4: Abzan Midrange 2-0
Game 1: removal for days almost died to a rhino but stableized via murderous cut.
Game 2: hes at 19 and were at a stand still. dash kolaghan, with 2 thunderbreak regents and swing for 21
Round 5: Esper control 0-2
Game 1 was a compleate shutout. no spell went uncountered.
Game 2, flooded on lands with no sideboard cards seen until t10.
Very disapointed tonight but will have a chance to redeem myself at the SCG open tomorrow.

If you have a budget, you shouldn't play magic competitively
The Executioner is a strong budget option in place of Rabble if you don't have them. It doesn't end the game as quick and costs a little more, but the built in recursion is nice.
I feel like your losses should have been easy wins had you been running the disruption package instead of being more midrange/aggressive. It would have stopped your opponent from curving out and stripped hands of counters and problematic cards.
Maybe against the manifest deck but as soon as they land a mastery, it's over. Hand disruption will only get us so far and that would have made the Anzac matchups a little weaker. (The loss of removal or others good cards.) I'm starting to come around in the tempests though. It's sad to say but I find myself taking it out more often then not. Still placed 8th at the tourney lol. Wish me luck at SCG open today!

Good luck, I'm sure you'll need it with your deck configured for post-rotation months in advance. You miss a lot of power that way and I'm not sure this style of deck can continue post rotation. That all depends on what Origins brings.
Also, it wouldn't have made your Abzan match weaker because I don't suggest you remove removal. Just all the cards that don't fit the core of an attrition style deck.(proposed core listed in primer)
Went 4-4 before I dropped. 8 out of 15 rounds is cool but I flooded out to much, wins of the entire day: 2 R/G aggro, control, and G/R dragon aggro. Loses were to R/G aggro ( 3 foul toungue in hand; no black source), control, Abzan aggro/midrange, and tokens (God and impact in place of ascendency).
Disappointed with the amount of flooding and the fact that I end up sideline out tempest, my deck makes a few changes
your actual knowledge of magic is rather small. i have a sideboard but i don't post it. Sideboards are made for the meta, why post a sideboard is you have no knowledge of the meta. your right, not every deck plays 4 CMC flyers but every deck is packing some form of removal or burn. I've been explaining why Phoenix is bad but <you're to dumb> to understand and i know my deck isn't perfect, nobody's is.
Dragonlord's servant stops aggro, the 1/3 that will block, and sometimes kill, any creature you swing at me. "Burn it with a strike, i don't care." Rabblemaster having 1 more attack power can change everything. they can kill rabblemaster, its will be less removal/burn spells more my other creatures. servant has great synergy with rabblemaster and of course i'm going to play the t3 dragon over rabblemaster. don't assume stupid stuff like that. this is the dragons thread. not the B/R aggro thread.
And do you really think that im going to fully delve for a cut? There are points in every deck where you have 2-3 mana unused. You would use all of that mana to cast the cuts and get rid of 2-3 cards in the grave. you would be surprised on how effective that is.
Mana is always an issue, because i flood out at 23. Your entire argument falls on itself.
And when did you switch from your deck to mine? Im actually doing great at tourneys. top 8ing at each tourney i go to. you will be lucky to get a win, let alone a actually win a round. Playing 8 lands that tap? your just inviting aggro to kill you early. You also lack havens, the deck needs at least 3. you have 8 cards in your deck that will hurt you to draw cards. Sure foul toung helps but not enough for the damage your gonna take. And the biggest flaw is (insert drum roll here) Flamewake phoenix, which i have now explained 3 time why its bad.

Name calling...that's your arguement/point. Good luck in developing your deck but I will not be participating in this thread, as long as you post here. If anybody else wants to discuss r/b dragons you can message me.

3-1'd a daily with my build. 2 wins vs heroic, one vs rdw. One match lost vs azban midrange, but it was a 1-2 match and G3 he was at 1 life. All in all the deck feels absolutely right to me. I still don't like the azban midrange match up, mostly due to den protector, but it's good enough vs the rest of the field that it's worth playing.

You shouldn't be pushing people out that are trying to better the attrition style deck this was designed to be. Nobody is pushing you out running your more aggressive midrange post-rotation variant.
I think you have too much land. Drop to 24, try commune with lava over read the bones. I just don't think read is a very good card, and having something to do when you've unecessarily held up mana for removal is probably a good call.
Which Abzan variant? Try dropping the Lightning Strikes and finishing the play set of Downfall and 1 more Crux in the main. I wouldn't drop read the bones, it can dig up to 4 cards deep to find what you need. In an attrition style deck, hard draw is important. Unlike Commune where you only have the turn to use them.
I still can't stomach the sorcery speed of the read the bones vs being able to end of turn commune. I guess communes value really depends on what your curve looks like as well.
I actually went up to 26 lands. With only 4 scry lands mana screws are quite common for me. Hitting lands for curve and dragons is crucial cause you want to keep up with removal and by turn 4/5 have the option to play 2 spells.
I've tried out 1 monument but i've swapped that out for the 26th land.
Edit: Ben stark mardu's dragon deck looks really sweet though.. the white splash for crackling doom, utter end in the SB and extra scry temples seems pretty good indeed.
Can you post the list, or a link to it? I am not familiar with the list.
Is Soulfire really where you want to be for an attrition style deck? Decks I run her in have about 10 burn spells in have about 10 burn spells MD, where as we run 2-3.. I just don't see white being the most beneficial splash for what this deck is trying to do. Personally, if I were going to splash anything, it'd be blue just for card draw and filtering. Even then, I'm only talking like 2 Anticipate and 2 Cruse/Dig.
I pretty much feel Doom is in equal footing with Foul-Tongue. Sac of highest power is nice but with all the removal we run, it'll be about the same anyway. If you were gonna run white for life, seeker is the better inclusion as it'll be a 3/3 more often than not. Not only with blue give us draw but, we'd also have access to Slumguar, the Drifting Death which helps shut down creature based strategies and gives us a hexproof finisher. Blue just seems like the stronger splash color here. Of course, that's just one mans opinion.
I am testing the Mardu dragons at the moment, without seeker cause I just don't like that card in the current meta..
White gives us 2/3 soulfires for extra lifegain / early game. Crackling doom but to me the best part seems the extra 3/4 scry temples.. I find myself flooded/screwed sometimes because of no way to smooth out draws. In a blue control shell you have more scry and things like anticipate to smooth out your draws, which I severely miss. This gives me the option to ditch the read the bones as well.
All in all I don't have any matchups I hate at the moment, and feel pretty confident going in any match when I don't get trolled by my deck and mana base
I am sorry I meant the Ben stark mardu dragon list.
Good. Chandra is a card I have become more and more unimpressed with. She was never in my list but I tried giving her a go and she just fails against so many decks and is only good when we are even with our opponents or ahead. Added a liliana and a crux to the sb. I want to add mardu charms to the deck but am leery of adding white. Flamewake has still been good for me. I understand why some my not like the choice but it offers you the chance play a tempo game vs other dragon decks when u stick a flamewake next turn kill there dragon hit for two, rinse and repeat.
