I'm bringing this to FNM for the first time tonight. My meta is mostly Jeskai tempo, 1 Abzan player, and one Mardu Midrange player. Advice I am looking for:
1. Should I focus on the critical-mass of burn + aggression (Seeker's + burn spells) or go more in on control (up the board wipes and counterspells)?
2. Any sideboard cards that would be good maindeck against my meta?
3. Is this deck even decent? (never brought to a FNM before)
4. I am playing Khans taplands due to unavailability of Scrylands. With this in mind, would it be better running basics?
My card pool of standard playables outside this deck is limited.
I was wondering what a good Anger-survival creature in standard might be. Do you think that Seeker of the Way is in competition too much with the later-game plan? Does the Ram compete well against Jeskai Tempo?
The Ram nets you card advantage, every 3 turns one is in play it basically counters a Lightning Strike. I wouldn't want to be on the Seeker plan insofar as you are never going to be able to capitalize on the damage that he deals.

One of these day I have to get myself organizized.
B/G Whip:
This guy was the real deal. A mix of mono-green devotion, enchantment packages (Eidolon of Blossoms, Courser of Kruphix, Doomwake Giant) with 3 Whip of Erebos and Hornet Queens. Sideboard I brought in suspension fields for queens, but admittedly the sideboard was not prepared for this matchup. Results:0-2
W/G Heroic:
Not quite as fast as the U/W version, but still pretty aggressive. Nyx-Fleece Ram just made the games impossible. That little sheep surviving Anger of the Gods is sick. Results:2-0
Temur Control:
Really interesting deck. Heavy in planeswalkers, counterspells, and rocking both Treasure Cruise and Dig Through Time. Game 1, I did very will playing the superior control game. Sideboarded the same against the Jeskai deck. This later came back to haunt me, as he pulled in SIDEBOARDED Stormbreath Dragon, which without End Hostilities, I had no answer (Fated Conflagration stayed in the sideboard due to my sighting of few creatures). Results:1-2
Overall Impressions:
I am in love with this deck! Great suggestions TrappedUnderIce. I think going the more long-game plan, with 4 Anger of the Gods maindeck is the right call. I think I could have done better game 4 if I had played my counterspells better. Game 1 left me with the impression of needing, perhaps, some enchantment removal in the sideboard (so many enchantments). What would I like to do in the future? One more Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker. Continuing testing with Steam Augury (all-star). Couldn't get my hands on any Pearl Lake Ancient, but I think another finisher would be great; although, perhaps the second Sarkhan would fill that role.
My question to the MTGSalvation community: thoughts on more planeswalkers (Elspeth, more Sarkhans, Chandras, heck Jace's)? Thoughts on resilient finishers? Much love <3

How do you Suspension Field a Hornet Queen? I'd love to learn that trick. Some number of Erase may help against that Whip deck. They're all enchantment heavy just because of courser, whip, and the often included Doomwake Giants

Lol. Chained to the Rocks maybe? I like that card; 1 mana removal is good. I run 3 in addition to 3 end hostilities and burn. But it requires Mountains. Doesn't deal with planeswalkers either. I don't run nyx fleece ram like Lars but I've found that gain lands + Pearl lake ancient has done work to keep me in it to win it in some games.
I ran a Jeskai control a couple weeks ago at fnm, and tweaked it for a benefit tournament the next day. If I were to run it again, it would look like this.
It runs a lot like my U/R control builds, but with the ability to remove big creatures easier. Vaults over End Hostilities because I found myself losing to either not having double white on turn 5, or End not being able to answer Whip of Erebos, Planeswalkers, etc. Vault makes for a great "catch all" answer, and with counters, angers, and removal, it shouldn't be too hard to buy the time needed to get Vault active.
For the sideboard, I wouldn't run Erase, it's just too narrow from my experiences. It seemed every time I sided it in, it just sat in my hand dead because they never played their Whip. I'd recommend Negate instead.
i really like the burn against the control decks in the format, also using it in combination with keranos who is fairly hard to remove has been testing well.
I also feel that the removal package gives me some options against all the various aggro/midrange decks.
I would like to squeeze in some more card draw somewhere, but not sure what to change.
I would also like to look at win condition options as well as I am keeping them to a minium i want them to have value.
Not playing creatures will create a lot of dead cards for opponents.
let me know your thoughts, my event is Jan 11.

I ended up going 2-2, against:

Results:2-0
Jeskai Tempo:
Typical Jeksai tempo deck, complete with Seeker of the Way, Mantis Riders, etc. Lightning Strikes were great, just nipped the creatures right in the bud. Nyx-Fleece Ram really pulled it's weight. Sideboard, I took out End Hostilities, due to the fact that Anger of the Gods killed all of his creatures. Brought in Disdainful Strokes, Steam Augurys. Boy do I love the steam, such great card advantage and it fuels Digs. Interestingly, I brought in Narset, Enlightened Master. I lived the dream of a hasty one off of a Hammer of Purphoros
Results: 2-0
