This is a simple easy deck to play AND build! Its mainly made of commons and uncommons, with two rares, a Temple of Silence and Bloodsoaked Champion. But don't fret, its already beat me a FNM Tournament on its virgin run. First game and I won back the entire cost of the deck. There's one main win con, which is a combination of Cavalry Pegasus and Rush of Battle. I've also won without either, but it took a bit longer. I can also win by sending in two chief of edges from my hand before a big attack and hit for a much larger amount of damage.
Hmm... I could see some consistency issues with this deck. There's some cards in here that don't really need to be there which you could probably replace with better cards to get more value. I'll have to do a more in-depth analysis later though. This is mostly to remind me to come back to the thread.
The list I have been testing is this; Lands (x22): Plains x6 Swamp x5 Temple of Silence x4 // Scry is helpful as there isnt much draw. Caves of Koilos x4 // Hurts, but usually only need the shock once or twice Scoured Barrens x3 // I like the lifegain, but the tap is slow. Creatures (x27): Soldier of the Pantheon x4 // Not a warrior, but an awesome card in the format, and gains some life Bloodsoaked Champion x4 // Warrior, and can be card advantage due to his Raid effect Chief of the Edge x4 // 3/2 body for 2, and buffs other creatures, yes please. Chief of the Scale x4 // 2/3 body for 2, and buffs other creatures, yes please. Seeker of the Way x4 // Prowess doesnt trigger to often, but gotta love it when it does, also a warrior. Mardu Hordechief x3 // 2 bodies for 1, both get buffed by being warriors Athreos, God of Passage x2 // As an aggro-ish deck, we enjoy making them pay for killing our stuff, plus a big body later Erebos, God of the Dead x2 // Stopping lifegain is a HUGE plus, the card draw helps as well, and we have the life to use it usually Spells (x11): Cruel Feeding x3 // I cant help but to like the lifegain, triggers SotW's prowess, buffs slightly, combat tricks Spear of Heliod x2 // Helps with fliers if opponent has any, buffs my guys, triggers prowess. Sorin, Solemn Visitor x3 // Do I need to say anything? Run as a 3 of because he doesnt really have any defense in this deck. Take Up Arms x3 // More prowess, combat tricks, 3 bodies on 1 card that all get buffs from warrior.
So the cards I am not really all that excited about from my few tests are Take Up Arms, and Mardu Hordechief. They help, but dont seem all that special. I've played around with Thoughtseize, but it doesnt seem to be the ideal T1. Hero's Downfall seems good, but again just not sure about it when I have spear, usually only for Walkers. I've thought about the Cavalry Pegasus for flying, and Sultai Scavenger, but not sure.
Would love for some input on this and some things to tweak.
Also advice on what types of things I would look for in the SB, and when to put board them in as I am not the best at boarding.
Warriors does make for a really fun budget list right now. A few things I see when looking at your list:
1. Given how low your mana curve is you can probably get away with a little less land.
2. Gods Willing is a must have to help keep your board state stable.
3. You have a lot of 2-ofs where you should really just have 4.

Definitely seeker of the way. I would add another bloodsoaked champion. Consider red for all the synergies in Khans and all those yet to come.. i would mainly splash for 1 copy of howl of the horde to spice up spells for the late game. ex: Defiant strike for +3/+0 with ancestral recall for 2 if you added red and this, which you may not even want to, but if you did, i would suggest some diff spells to maximize horde. In fact, I digress because I have been working on this. will post my list for comparison.

Was the less land comment towards me or OP? I thought mine was high with my curve, however it seems to have some land issues, so I found 22 to be nice. Could probably do 21.
Again, is the 2 ofs at me of the OP? I do have trouble narrowing down my deck towards the end, I like the principle of it, but need some help with clean up.
Thanks. I looked into tormented hero and thought it was pretty good, but as you saw didn't run enough spells to work with him that great. As for Erebos, he's been pretty solid in every game I drew him, but haven't had him and Sorin in opener yet.
I do have 3 sorins because he's a beast in this, the lifelink and +1 is way more than it seems at first, and he's my only source of flier. There are also 3 because I really want him once a game at least, and as said, I have no protection for him, so it's fun to occasionally put him on T4, plus 1, have them swing all at him, and be wide open for me to drop another and plus 1 and swing out again on T5.
Gods willing I will be putting in there, the scry helps a TON. Not terribly sold on feat of resistance yet, but it's nice, just no room. I'll try sideboard for erebos.

Any other thoughts/suggestions. Particularly for building and using my sideboard. I'm a bad side boarder, never know what to put in against what besides the uber obvious.
No one else is suggesting it, so I take it that people think it does not fit in this deck. However I can assure you that Boon of Erebos is a must at the very least as a 2-of. You lose life but it will give your creatures the reach they need to survive and kill creatures like Courser of Kruphix/Siege Rhino or just act as a way to keep your threats on the board.
I'd also strongly recommend at least two Herald of Torment. It's a beauty on either Tormented Hero or Seeker of the Way to swing for 6 and oftentimes the kill. If not you can always just play it as a 3/3 flier.
I'd also like to point out that Warriors aggro do not work that well as an all-out aggro type deck like Boss sligh or some of the red decks. It just does not quite have the speed for it, especially when your opponents slam down a Courser/Siege/Sylvan. I've found running a few more land and removal with some mid-game plays has helped my version of the deck (now Mardu) be competitive.
Good points. I haven't had too terribly much trouble until I start missing land. As for the bestow, I had completely forgotten about that when looking for flier buffs.
Usually the buffs from chief of the edge and spear and the spells can get me up and over the unbuffed rhinos, but I would like a bit more out of it possibly.
Zurgo Helmsmasher is a bit underrated IMO. At the very least he does something as soon as he hits the board and sort of acts like a pseudo Desecration Demon. I mean, I don't think he quite cuts it, but he's good fun if you can play him :p.

Ill start adding cards as necessary. Ill be adding Athreos and Spear, Tormented Hero and Seeker of the Way are something I totally blanked out on, and the Boon of Erebos I will also add. Ill also buy Erebos for my sideboard, if I have the dough. Sometime today ill post the updated deck list.
I, too, have been toying with the idea of a BW aggro deck. Probably not Warriors though, but white weenie / token aggro on the white side, cheap removal and card draw on the black side. Sort of like this list but black instead of red, for Bile Blight, Pain Seer, Hero's Downfall, and whatnot.
I'll be interested in seeing where this goes.

So, I built the deck and played it 3 times last night, all against a Mardu token/midrange deck that acted more like a control deck. I went 0-3 lol. Game one I had a great hand, and had 38 life at T6 with him at 5, he dropped Elspeth, Sun's Champion and won, I had no way to get past the tokens.
Game 2 and 3 were fairly similar with me hitting about 30 life and him below 10 before he stabilized with tokens, just burning my stuff away (even with the Gods Willing

No trample to be had in these colors. So I'm left with flying, which is either Master of the Feast, Herald of Torment, or Cavalry Pegasus as far as I see. Can anyone think of anything else that will fit well in here?
Herald of Torment I like because best case I can bestow him (for 5 cmc though =/) Master of the Feast doesnt seem all that great to give them that much card advantage over me. Cavalry Pegasus I think would be nice as all my warriors are also humans (only Athreos isnt).
I think a few Bile Blights or Hero's Downfall may suit me well, or even Utter Ends, as they fit my curve better as I am usually trying to drop more creatures on T3

What is our decks strengths and weaknesses, and why are we winning or loosing against them?
For instance I would assume we would probably beat control decks, and possibly hyper aggro decks because,
Control - We are too fast for them.
Aggro - Our life gain and slightly bigger bodies helps us last that one or two extra turns again them so that we can get them before they get us.
Well against control I usually win every time, as there is no effect in countering or burning a creature with a converted mana cost of 2, and midrange doesn't put out enough creatures/big enough creatures to block. Other aggro fizzles out to quickly or can't knock me back down after a Bile Blight or Rush of Battle.
I also only have on Bile Blight on me, I just use Drown in Sorrow as a filler until I get the others.

Looks good. There are a few changes I would make.
Replace Scoured Barrens with basic lands. You want to get out fast and can't afford to have too many CIPT lands.
Shift Erebos, God of the Dead to the SB.
Remove Take Up Arms. Could be hard to cast and better options.
Maybe drop one Sorin, Solemn Visitor.
Find room for Tormented Hero, Feat of Resistance, and probably Gods Willing. Tormented Hero is too good to leave out and the increased number of spells will help with combat tricks/resiliency and trigger prowess on Seeker of the Way.
I'd also suggest Mardu Skullhunter for the SB.

I would take out the Bellowing Saddlebrute for Hero's Downfall just in case they hit Elspeth and to clear Siege Rhino out of the way. Also, I think that Spear of Heliod is faster than Raider's Spoils and also counteracts Drown in Sorrow and you should be fine on Card Advantage with Athreos and Bloodsoaked Champion. Also, 4 mana confluence is necessary.

What about all of our 1 toughness creatures? Tormented Hero and Bloodsoaked Champion, and for you Cavalry Pegasus?
Also, have you instead tried Bile Blight and target the tokens? For things like Goblin Rabblemaster and Hordeling Outburst you could just name a card like Goblin Token right?
