Threw the constellation build together late last night, it needs work im sure. I had caryatids, and may put them in again. My enchant list is very canttippy because Imposter can copy dictate or eidolon, and once more than one eidolon is in play, its easy to make use of that mana. The only real reason the two drop eidolon is in there- aside from bestowing it on a creature to get a little reach. I thought about Brain Maggot to give a little disruption, sorta like Thoughtseize too if prophet is in play. Imagine passing the turn, untapping land, letting them draw, then playing brain maggot as an instant? lol! Thanks for all your input, ill read it again when i get home
Round 1 - Beat 2-1 Abzan Planeswalkers. Didn't hit a Hydra or VW in the entire match, just overran him with big hasty creatures! Attacked with a 25/25 Colossus with trample for the win game 2.
Round 2 - Beat Abzan Aggro 2-0. Game 1, he gets out 2x Siege Rhino, Courser, and Sorin. I stabilize in one turn with an Ascendancy out by casting a Hydra for 5 into an Acolyte, tapping the Acolyte for 7 and casting my second hydra into a Colossus and draw three card then next turn I Wealth for 20, he scoops. Game 2, he gets out a Rhino and a Courser and a Sorin, while killing my first 2 creatures. Then I hit Follower, Acolyte, Acolyte, Acolyte and a Carytid with a Nykthos and I Wealth for 25. I win!
Round 3 - Beat Jeskai Tempo 2-1, only lost game 1 due to miscounting my life total. Beat him with Wealths and Hydras.
Round 4 - Beat Jund Monsters 2-0. Wealthed both games for half his deck, followed by another on the next turn for the rest of it.
Round 5 - Beat white weenie aggro. Smashed it 2-0. No contest.
Round 6 - Beat Temur Monsters 2-1. Game 1, Wealthed him for his deck. Game 2, he countered both my Wealths. game 3 he didn't have a counter and I Wealthed him for 27.
The deck needed the Ascendancys. It's the best card to hit off a Hydra! I am loving this deck!!!

Phenax does the same thing. Can't tell you how many times I've defensively milled my opponent to a harmless card for their next draw when I could not mill them out.
At my fnm my fist match was a jeskai combo deck. Went off turn four in game one. Game two he got the ascendancy out turn three. My turn i stained the mind for the helix and thought I neutered him. He still went off next turn and killed me with a Satyr. Couldn't really get upset as it was really impressive though his turn did take ten minutes.
Lost match two to jeskai heroic. Then match three to mana screw both games.
I need to figure a better way to deal with agro. Maybe drown in sorrow in the side as it really only hits the followers in my deck.
Got frustrated after a poor showing at FNM and tore the deck down and rebuilt it.
Out: 4 Elvish Mystics and 4 Eidolon of Blossoms
In: 2 Karametra's Acolyte, 2 Temur Ascendancy, and 4 Kiora's Follower.
Also, took out a Phenax and a Pharika for 2 more Arbor Colossus and, of course, adjusted the mana base for the add of red.
THE DECK NEEDS HASTE and the Ascendancy is really good. I'm now 9-0 with this deck!
SB needs work... but some of the plays you can make with the deck now are just ridiculous... Actually played all 4 Hydras in one turn, with an Ascendancy out and pulling Kiora's and Acolyte's into a Nylea on the final one to swing for game.
Why aren't you running Chord of Calling? With all your mana ramp and creature populating, you could easily go find Phenax or Nylea as the board dictates.

Really good question. Answer is basically that Hydra serves that role. It was in early versions and we just hated drawing it, especially since it can't hit Hydras.
Is the ascendency a deal breaker for this deck or can hammer replace it?
You could, don't know why you would. UGR is much easier to hit than 1RR. Plus it doesn't draw cards. You don't really want to sac any lands except extra Nykthos and when u do want to sac one, u don't want to be spending extra mana... Your call, tho.
Oh sweet! Went 4-1 at FNM tonight! Should have been 5-0, but messed up one match against a really good player. This was not my normal shop, so I ran this against a bunch of unfamiliar players and had a great time putting the deck through its paces!
Round 1 - 2-0 against mono-red Heroic. He got me down to 3 life in game 1, but didn't have the kill spell. Wealthed him for enough to put him away. Game 2, brought in the Disciples and never got below 14 life.
Round 2 - 2-0 against Jeskai Aggro. Game 1 he made a play mistake (trying to double lightning strike a Colossus when I had mana up for monstrous. Took it from there. Game 2, he played the control hand and I just overwhelmed him.
Round 3 - 0-2 against Jeskai Aggro. Turn 3, blocked a Seeker with my Courser without even thinking about it.. Dumb, dumb, dumb. Changed the whole game. Had to mulligan game 2 and didn't have anything less than 4 to cast and hit all CIPT lands. He got out a Rabblemaster and I could not recover fast enough. A timely Jeskai Charm, putting my Colossus on top of my library, salted the game away for him. Just bad draws and dumb play. Otherwise winnable matchup. Almost never lose to this deck.
Round 4 - 2-1 against Sultai Control. Hit a big Wealth games 1 and 3 to seal it with a couple scoops.
Round 5 - 2-1 against R/G Monsters. Again, Wealth for the win in games 1 and 3. Rattleclaw into a Stormbreath turn 3 sealed game 2 for him.
I'm convinced this is a tier 1 deck, my 13-1 record with the current build is proof (ok, it is FNM proof, ha!) and I'm really surprised there is no love for it out there. It's balls out fun to play and kicks it hard.
Well, it will take time to catch on. Until then, I'll keep casting it and killing it with the best card in standard, Villainous Wealth!
Hi. Newcomer to this thread, but I wanted to share my experience. I had a Temur aggro deck ready to run, and at the last minute got bored with it and so I threw this together literally as the tourney organizer was putting the players into the computer for pairings. This is why, for instance, I have 2 Yisan the Wanderer Bard . . . and no 1-drops. Ha!
Match 1 - Temur Midrange. Game one I ramped off Kiora's Follower into a Polukranos. He got some beef out, including his own Prophet of Kruphix and Surrak. I stalled with Hornet Nest, and then got a Prophet. This was when I realized I had no one-drops, but I still managed to tutor out the whole chain, including Sagu Mauler and Hornet Nest. Game two I just beat through with beef.
Match 2 - R/G Monsters. Game one I Ætherspouted his Polly and a Fanatic of Xenagos, then grabbed them with Villainous Wealth. Game two I had fun with a trick play: He had a Courser, and when he drew his card for the turn his next card was Wooded Foothills. I Sultai Charm'ed his Courser so he couldn't play the land, then dropped an Ob-Nixilis on my turn. That kept him off the mana he needed to Crater's Claws me out, and my own Courser got me enough life to stall and win with Nylea pumps.
Match 3 - Abzan Reanimator. This guy is arguably the best player in the store. Game one he rolled out with Siege Rhino, Whip of Erebos, and some kill spells. I kept getting up blockers that died, but eventually stuck a Nylea, a Courser, two Kiora's Followers, and a Caryatid. He whipped out a Hornet Queen, swung, and got me to 1 life, with another Siege Rhino in his graveyard. It looked bleak. Then I cast Villainous Wealth for 15:
Triple Doomwake Giant, two Siege Rhinos, a Courser of Kruphix, and a Whip. He was at something like 34 life, and I killed him the next turn.
Game two he went turn 2 Thoughtseize on my Villainous Wealth, turn 3 Satyr Wayfinder (dumping a Hornet Queen) into turn 4 Whip. I answered with Reclamation Sage. He played a second whip. I lost soon after that.
Game three we were short on time, so we played fast but I don't think either of us made any mistakes. I managed to land a turn 5 Sagu Mauler and ride it to victory since I Sultai Charm'ed his Whip, and he couldn't find an End Hostilities.
Match 4 - Monoblue Aggro. This was a fun deck, beating down with weenie fliers and unblockable critters. By turn 5 I got out Polukranos and Prophet, but was down to 8. On his turn Nykthos gave him a ton of mana, so he dropped a Hall of Champions and Master of Waves for 6 elementals. He swung in with his fliers for enough to kill me, but I flashed in a Hornet Queen. Then on my turn Polukranos ate his Master of Waves and Reclamation Sage ate his Hall of Champions. He ran out of gas after that.
Game two I got double Courser and was gaining enough life that after several turns of attacks I was still at 17. In addition to his weenies he got out a Hall of Champions, a Thassa, her Bident, and had a grip of cards. On my turn I drew a Nykthos and played a Villainous Wealth for 11, grabbing a Thassa and bunch of fliers of my own (including using his Negate on a Font of Fortune so I could cast his Swan Song and get a bird off it). He still managed to put me to 4 the next turn, but I swung back with his and my creatures, and thanks to Thassa and Nykthos I got him.
I like the deck. Yisan didn't do much (and I'm not sure I'd want to throw in Elves instead of Follower + Caryatid). Prog Sphinx never came up. The sideboard was a mess. But it worked, this time at least. Villainous Wealth is hilariously fun.

Some additional testing and this deck beat Frank Lepore's control version of a Wealth deck 3 out of 5.

Well, yeah, it could work. Deck is so tight already...

Well i am currently running two phenax main so i was thinking just sub thasa for one of them
Ah, ok. They are really cheap though.
Yeah, that works too...
