Hey guys i have been been brewing random decks for awhile now and thought I would share one of the favorites that I have come up with. This deck gets its name from the cards that do consistent damage over time such as Stab Wound, and Mogis, God of Slaughter, and with these "bleeding" effects such as this you get some form of inevitability that most other agressive decks cannot achieve. Now as you can tell this deck is not as fast as the other aggressive deck in the format, and that is intentional, I wanted to trade that raw speed for renewable threats and consistent damage. This deck was originally just a mash up of all the bleeding effects in the format and it was just awful, but that is when I understood you have to apply enough pressure that your bleeding effects are actually important. It was originally a B/R deck but decided to add a splash of white for two very powerful cards in Butcher of the Horde, and Crackling Doom, which I think is very much worth the troubles that come with a three color mana base.
This deck has a few synergies that are at the core of the deck so lets talk about them for a second.
-Tymaret, The Murder King+Bloodsoaked Champion: This combo makes for consistent, albeit mana intensive recursion and direct damage.
-Sac Outlet+Grim Haruspex and Harness by Force:With 7 sac outlets it is very possible to steal their best creature, get a free attack in and then sac it for value. And not to mention any sacrifice made for the horde turns into card draw with Haruspex on the field.
This deck was a blast to create and even more fun to play! Give it a go and tell me what you think, maybe even suggest some changes and help me make the deck even better.
i might try to find room for purphoros in here. might not have the red to turn him on but he is more consistent damage with the dudes coming back. I would lose the stab wounds and play actual removal. the bleed is cute but id rather have a hero's downfall in that slot. Also a player will just sac their dude to mogis if you stab wound him. basically 2-for-1'ing yourself.
I would also test another grim haruspex. he looks reallllly good here.
This deck does look really fun and when i draft my box of khans this week ill start putting it together.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it put an evasive creature in its deck over a narrow hate card.

I think I agree with you on the haruspex and will add another for testing tomorrow. I can understand the urge to just bench the weaker less played card for the arguably more powerful widely played card but I urge you to test it. At first I was just like you and was thinking that I might as well just run the better straight up removal spell in that spot, buttttttt after playing a few games I found that although stab did function as a removal spell sometimes, it also was a clock, a clock that actually added up quite fast and would make the opponent do everything they could to get rid of their own creature which in my mind makes it a removal spell/damage dealer/damage reducer all in one.
I do have to concede the point that Mogis and Stab would have anti synergy together and it does suck the one time it may happen every ten games but the strengths they both bring outweigh the downside.
I have played with stab wound before (in some weird bw sphere of safety deck) and i like its potential, however i think having ways to deal with planeswalkers is too important. ill test both however.

I am still working on a sideboard to fit the meta (once I find out what that is) and it will most likely have 3 Hero's Downfall in it to deal with the grindy planeswalker decks.
I cant decide if a transformational sideboard that basically turns your deck into a much more controlling list in the tough aggro matches like Jeskai and Rabble red, is worth it. Right now I kinda just have a catch all sideboard focused on helping a bit against all the popular decks.
i would play some number of sweepers in the side against those decks. we cant be faster than a true aggro deck but we can eek out advantage because of our ability to recur our dudes and random shocks from mogis and tymaret (and purphy if we go that route). so i would have some number of drown in sorrow or anger of the gods. anger does exile however so be careful if we use it. also if tokens are a big problem maybe circle of flame?
have you tried purphoros? he seems like he would be solid
I have not, mostly because I feel like he would have to take Mogis's places which could actually be an upgrade but I will have to test it. I plan on putting the deck through a gauntlet this friday.
How did your testing go this past friday? i've been swamped with schoolwork and haven't been able to test at all. I have been thinking about a new addition however. Athreos, god of passage gives us more recursion, or more bleeding (unfortunately opponents choice) but it just seems so synergistic. we sac a dude for 2 damage and they have to pay 3 life more or we get him back. this means protection for our rabblemasters and butchers. it means we can safely play more grim haruspex (who in theorycrafting seems to be an all-star)
the problem is that i don't want to play too many gods. getting stuck with gods that end up being utility enchants and not creatures is going to lead to a blowout. Id love to get some discussion going on how many of which gods gives us the best gameplan, like which god would we want in which situations and which god is better vs different decks. I really think all 3 could be really good depending on how real matches play out and not just my theorycrafting in magical christmas land.
Once this week is over ill have time to go get the cards i need to finish her up and start testing. I love this deck and wanna make her a contender.

I hate to be that guy, but Hordeling Outburst is a sorcery.

you just had to be that guy...but yeah thanks brain fart I guess.

so sideboard vs aggro has:
vs planeswalkers
vs midrange
thoughtseize or despise their turn 4-5 big drop
steal and sac with act of treason or harness by force
