Most of us have seen the common Mono-Black-Devotion decks.
The deviation between each one is usually negligible, but I'm confident a few bright ideas can still change up the archetype and maybe catch some opponents off guard.
This is my own brew:
Creatures: 4x Gray Merchant, Desecration Demon, Master of the Feast, Pack Rat, Pharika's Chosen.
Enchantments: 4x Underworld Connections, 2x Gift of Orzhova, 1 Erebos and 1 Whip.
Inst-Sorc: 7x Removal spells of your choice, and 2 Cruel Feeding.
23 Swamp.
Cruel Feeding? Isn't that at common?
Yes, and it works damn well too. Oftentimes opponents don't have an answer for Master of the Feast by turn 4, and since this deck's curve peaks at 3cmc, you can confidently spend B to gain 6 life and give yourself a bigger clock against those more burny decks and still drop an Underworld Connections!
Pharika's Chosen? Why?
It is a 1/1 deathtouch creature for B, and usually is pro-creatures for the first few turns. Later on, there's virtually no backlash from swinging out with your fatties, as Pharika's Chosen stands firmly in front of you, laughing at anything without first strike.
Post rotation is still not here, so I'm gonna troll it up while I can.
What have you done to spice up MBD's decklist? What do you think of mine? Constructive criticism is better than straight rudeness :3, thank you.
