So I wanted to try a new deck with Nissa and Garruk M15 Planeswalkers as stars. This is my attempt at converting the G/R and Jund Monsters decks into G/B Monsters. I've made some previous dicussions in the New Card Discussion thread. I figured I would move it here now that all the spoilers are out. Thoughts?
Terra stomper and the new 5G treefolk that copies himself have potential because he's a 2 for 1 and no temples because turn 1 mystic is to important. Also overgrown tombs count as forests! So nissa untaps those bad boys to for your downfalls. And run in Garruk's wake oh my god. The voyaging satyrs untap nythxos and the animated lands.

Terra Stomper is not a good card for this list. It can't be countered, but it's just a clunky Loxodon Smiter. As far as 6 drops go, Scuttling Doom Engine is just a better option. Your opponent needs to block/remove him, but he can't be blocked by creatures 2 power or less (so they're blocking with their more threatening creatures) and removing him costs 6 life.
I included temples for consistency, I could potentially include Mana Confluence, but I'm concerned about the aggro matchup if I do. I already include Llanowar Wastes. Even in the post rotation list, there are 18 green sources that come into play untapped. So I'm not too concerned about not being able to T1 Mystic.
I know Overgrown Tombs are forests... and I know Voyaging Satyr untaps Nykthos, but as I said this isn't a devotion list. The Nykthos would be less effective here than a dual land.
In Garruk's Wake is a bad card for standard imo. It's way to slow against any deck you'd want to play it against. And against control, if I want to remove walkers, that's why I run Downfall, Garruk, Vraska.
If you want a devotion list, I'd try Monogreen or this:
One thing I am impressed with though is Hornet Queen. I've added one to each list and it's been really stellar. I'm also testing replacing the SDE with another Hornet Queen.
What are you thoughts on Chord of Calling in this deck? I am building a similar deck running three chords.
I think it's better suited to the toolbox style decks that run at least 10 different creatures. The link I posted above shows an example of such a list. Todd Anderson also posts articles about Chord green in the premium articles sections of Star City Games website. I have been slightly moving toward such lists, and may try them out as well.

Yeah, if you want to run Chord, don't run Thoughtseize or Downfall. It means you'll have a lacking toolbox of creatures to tutor for/convoke with. I could, however see running Garruk with Chord.
Nissa has been great. One common misconception that people make is that she's only good if you have 4 forests in play. The fact is that ANY repeatable ramp is powerful.
Here's the version I would probably be giving a try:
This is the list I brought to my LGS tuesday night magic, I went 4-1-1, to top 4 split. This is the first time I am playing it in a sanctioned event aside from dabbling around on cockatrice.
Round 1, Played against U/w Control. Kinda hard match up haven't figured it out yet with this deck. Both games went to time, with him just having way to much card advantage but I was able to make him sweat out and really work for the win. This deck is definitely a competitor for u/w need to tweak the side board a bit more. 0-2
Round 2, played against Bant Walkers. This match up is relatively easy. Ramp out quick get thoughtseize the kiora away. Keep the downfalls open and coast in for the win. Nissa was an all-star in this game coming down and bringing in a hornet queen with her. Reaper is just too strong, hexproof in response to an early game dsphere. Genesis Hydra into a garruk. Just a great match up. 2-0
Round 3, played against U/w midrange. It was a homebrew, it ran azorius arrester, Lyev Skyknight, Tidebinder Mage and the typical mono white aggro dudes, with a Lavinia and Ephara a few negates, dspheres, and banishing lights. It was a really fast deck. Game one I got stomped. Game 2 I stomped him. Game 3 he got me to 1 when I ripped a drown in sorrow with a nissa, courser, and polukranos on board. Wiped his board he had no hand, and just beat face with darksteel citadel. 2-1
Round 4, played against America Control. Game one I lost, Played aggressive to feel the deck out and see what he had. Game 2, dropped a mistcutter for 7 with nissa and Hornet Queen out. Thoughtseize and duress took care of the stuff I couldn't deal with. Game 3, Had 2 reapers out with a whip, against his 2 scuttling doom engines. Swung in gave deathtouch in response to him blocking and then regenerated my dudes with golgari charm kept drawing threats got him to 6 and he verdicts, top deck a mistcutter for 8.
Top 8, played America Control. I won 2-0 he didn't draw lands game 1. Game 2 he didn't see a single verdict or Rev. turn 4 mistcutter for 6 made him cry.

Hi guys, I just came back to playing magic from a very long hiatus (weatherlight)and seeing the new core set I wanted to try out using some of the walkers in the B/G color. Hope you guys can help me improve on the idea of a somewhat control deck so far here's what. I brought to tonight's fnm and it went 2-2 won against red devotion and mono black devotion, but lost to r/w aggro and w/b midrange (this one was really bad draws 7 consecutive turns drawing nothing but dorks and land)

Pretty much all the cards speak for what they do in the deck. Honestly, i would have loved abrupt decay in the deck, but i'm still short on funds to get it. Putrefy was somewhat a good substitute but I went with ultimate price in the end. Golgari charm is also something I was thinking about since I've been seeing a lot of aggro in our meta especially token into obelisk of urd. nissa is there to really make creatures the untapping just becomes a bonus for it. Well, that's what I have goin on right now. Hope you guys can help me improve on it. Thanks

Not a bad list, but I think you're going to want some lifegain in your sideboard against the mono red and boros decks that are running rampant (at least in my meta). The popular sideboard option is Nylea's Disciple, I'd suggest you cut the 2 whips and replace them with a pair of disciples.
Completely agree with the lifegain, but against the mono red dv, the whip proved helpful, alongside garruk's -3 ability and nissa's army of elementals. But you're right nylea's disciple makes an immediate impact once it hits play so I'll try that out.

My meta is either 75% control with 12.5% aggro 12.5% midrange or 80% mono black 10% aggro 10% control. It's like everyone jumps on the most recent SCG top 8 deck list. And I ended up siding it out almost every match to be honest. Tonight at FNM I was able to kill it with garruk to kill my opponent. And I was able to whip it back to get a quick 6 damage in but I think I'm going to get another hornet queen. The genesis hydras are just the best. They bring me back from a land flooded game to winning or just bring me over the edge to break a stalemate every time. Even if they get countered or killed. So powerful and underrated.
