What makes a LD deck able to function is the sweepers. More sweepers! They stop you from being overwhelmed by whatever was played in the first three turns of the game!
-2 hammer of purphoros
-2 dragon mantle
-4 courser of kruphix
-2 eidolon of blossoms
-2 sylvan primordial
-1 forest
-1 mountain
+2 lightning strike
+1 anger of the gods
+2 elvish mystic
+2 ember swollower
+3 polukranos, world eater
+4 stormbreath dragon
You can lower the land count thanks to 8 accelerants. You need 8 accelerants because you absolutely must hit your LD spell on turn 3 every single game. Even that's too late, actually, but we don't really have any other options. Don't mess with sylvan primordial, courser and eidolon kind of stuff. You want to keep them off of one color, or just below the threshold of high caliber creatures/removal, as soon as possible and bash them out of existence before they recover. Stormbreath Dragon is perfect, and Polukranos is a close second thanks to his ability to clear weenie hordes. You may want to sneak in even more creatures, because the main problem with this deck is closing the game before they recover. Polukranos and Stormbreath both die VERY cheaply in this format right now, thanks to monoblack.. which happens to be the most played deck in the format. Your original list only had 4 creatures to finish the game, so that number definitely had to go up. We don't have any really solid hexproof answers, with archetype of endurance being the only sizeable option.. and he's a bit janky. So we have to opt for evasion instead, which is why Stormbreath is good here.
