I know this it a Wx heroic thread but has anyone thought about doing a Rakdos heroes?
I was just thinking of it but need to find all my hero cards to give it a try.
Rakdos could be interesting, although the best heroic cards are usually white, that's why is a prefered color combination.
Having a rakdos style I'd heavily suggest playing 4 Tormented Hero and Agent of the Fates as a great source of removal.
Remember that, this colors grant no protection to your creatures so, swarming tactics are heavily suggested instead of auras, trying to get the kill asap.

Sadly, there aren't many heroic cards on this colors, and I consider this ones to be the best (Labyrinth's Champion is really slow in the format) SO is more like a swarming deck trying to get control against the opponent.Anyway, I guess this could be a pretty nice option to play, although it doesn't seem as heroic as Wx
Ok here's my latest idea of white red heroic. I'm going to look 1 more time at the red heroic/bestow cards to see if theres anything decent to try. I tried to stay on a decent curve. I think fall of hammer will be big since its another way to deal with threats.especially since our creatures can get big quick. Please all criticism is welcome tear it apart. Any good ideas or help is appreciated!!!!!!!

I'm not sure you want Phalanx Leader on this build, because you won't have that many creatures on the field. I heavily suggest either Soldier of the Pantheon or Dryad Militant instead, because you'll like to be enchanting a creature by turn 2 to deal early damage. Madcap Skills is also one of the best auras at the moment, I'd go for 3-4 in this build, placing Fall of the Hammer on the sideboard instead (since it will be a dead draw against control decks). Also, having 2 Boros Charm on main board only, because they are more a finisher rather that something you want to draw in multiples, add another Favored Hoplite and a Hopeful Eidolon. Hope that helps you
I've been following this thread for a while, and I've been playing a version of Ruzhyo's deck from Page 8, minus the reckoners, on MODO. It's been working out pretty well, but my opponents are rather random.
Anyways, I've been thinking about BNG while I'm waiting for it to show up online, and I think I'm going to go in this direction...

I'll give it a shot! Thanks for the tips, will try out on cockatrice. Have you tried your w/b build? I'm curious I still havent decided if I want to make a w/r or w/b deck.. Also how do you feel about titan's strength I think it could cause issues for people

Titan's Strength is amazing to kill the opponents earlier. It works better with 4 Madcap Skills, so you can make sure your creature won't be blocked when playing the instant. Actually I posted a 3 turn win W/R deck in this very thread, but I happened to forget where I placed it, lol, it had many T1 drops, 4 Ethereal Armor, 4 Madcap Skills and 4 Titan's Strength
About my W/B, I played a lot of games with it, it has an awesome match against other heroic decks and RDW or Red devotion; and it has a decent match against Blue Devotion, WU Control, Black Devotion, Gruul midrange and GR Devotion as well. I hope the new cards improve it a lot so I can take on those matches better yet.
Your game really starts at turn 3, considering your spells mana costs. You could change them for Ethereal Armor, this can make that your Hopeful Eidolon and Nyxborn Shieldmate get a nice T2 game, being enchanted and swing by, either 3 or 7, depending how many ethereals you get in hand, lol.
Another option is Akroan Skyguard, he can prove to be better than Daxos, since he comes 1 turn earlier, has flying, and he gains counters by enchanting him.
I read the article as well, the proposed deck seems pretty interesting with 36 creatures, and many ways to bestow them to make them larger. I will use a variant of this with 4 Ethereal Armor instead of Soldier of the Pantheon and see how it goes; I'm really curious about getting this build working.
I made a slower heroic/bestow deck focusing on depleting the opponent's resources before finishing them off with a stack of combined bestow creatures. I chose to go with bestow for heroic triggers instead of instants or auras because it removed the issue of winding up with a hero with no triggers or a bunch of triggers with no hero. Underworld Connections was a later addition to gain card advantage in both directions which works well with Hero of Iroas, Eidolon of Countless Battles, and, less directly, Hopeful Eidolon. I'm considering swapping out Dawn to Dusk in the sideboard for Revoke Existence, depending on how often the gods are being played, but those 3 card slots are pretty up in the air in general.
EDIT: Made the swap for Revoke Existence to improve the matchup against Monoblue Devotion.
EDIT2: Swapped Eidolon of Countless Battles for Boon of Erebos and made room for 3 Drown in Sorrow in the sideboard, then adjusted lands. The matchup against aggro decks with cheap removal was pretty terrible before.
Here is a BW version, that has a very strong core.
Basically, you play a dude, protect it, and win.
You strip answers from their hand with thoughtseize and sin collector.
Then you drop Agent, hero, or pain seer (with boon/ gods willing protection)
Then you drop some stuff on them, making them big, making them sac, or drawing cards, keep protecting that creature, and win.
When it works, its really a beautiful thing. And very little your opponent can do about it.
However, its kinda slow, since you need turn 3 to drop a hero most of the time, and definitely turn 4 for the agent. I do have drown in sorrow in the SB vs the faster matchups, but I need to add some form of 2 mana removal to the maindeck.
Pain seer works really well in this deck, enchanting him lets him swing, the scry from temples and god willing helps him, the low curve helps him, and being able to protect creatures so well helps him out a lot too.
I would like to drop the pacifism and gift of immortality, in favor of more pump enchants, but havent been very happy with the cheap options in BW, might have to open up to a thrid color.
I really like how you added Pain Seer to solve the draw engine issue, however, having only 14 creatures in your main deck is really problematic.
As sideboard options you can have Ashiok's Adept or Sin Collector, both are ok, I like collector better because you can safely T3 play it and remove an opponent card, and it has more attack too. Revoke Existence is also excellent against monoblack devotion
Anyone can give me any advice on how to beat control it would be greatly appreciated! It just seems like I can't be fast enough. Either I dropped as much as I can to win before turn 4, and if I don't win I can't seem to catch back up;doom blade, dissolve, esper charm supreme verdict etc. etc. lol
Maybe I'm looking at heroic deck just wrong?? Any advice? I'm starting to think that w/b or w/u maybe better decks
I'm missing the Temple's and a handful of the creatures. I've been proxying games when I can, and so far it's been fun if not terribly competitive. I think it may just be an issue of cutting a few cards for more protection. Too much removal out there. I like playing the instant version a little bit better, but I wanted to build a deck that took advantage of Eidolon of Countless Battles, Hero of Iroas, and bestow. I went creature heavy because 9 of them have bestow, 7 of them have a very aggressive bestow of 4 cmc which Hero of Iroas lowers to 3. Flitterstep Eidolon is in there because I treat her as Aqueous Form 5. Ghostblade Eidolon singleton is a late game bomb for when things go really well, but usually I'd rather see Fabled Hero. Ephara's Enlightenment gives us evasion, will repeatedly trigger heroic for 2 +1/+1 counters, and gives us something to do mid-late game with our mana. But is a 3-of because multiples lead to clunky hands. Other cards I'm considering are: Ephara, God of the Polis, Nyxborn Shieldmate, Gift of Immortality, Heliod, God of the Sun, and Murder Investigation as a sideboard option against decks with heavy removal. I'm thinking of splashing black or just switching to W/B for Orzhov Charm.
edit: to tag the cards
edit2: typos and addition rambling
I didn't realize it when I put this list together but the deck is capable of winning on turn 4 fairly easily, and even (theoretically) turn 3. So I've refined my original list with a turn 4 win as the goal.
There are a bunch other combinations that can pull off the turn 4 win too. A Turn 3 win involves multiple copies of ethereal armor and is so rare it it's hardly worth mentioning, but at least technically possible. Sadly, I probably won't be playing this list much at FNM because it's less consistent than the Simic build I've been rocking people with lately. I hope this will be able to help others interested in this type of deck though. I will be checking the thread from time to time since it looks like Wx has the tools to become competitive, especially the WB builds.

I dig your Idea! but the problem I'm have with my heroics deck is dealing with control. What happens after you 2nd turn they hit you with doom blade? now you have to start over. next turn detention sphere, then supreme verdict... by that time they have card advantage and it's a uphill battle with your only means for protection being gods willing which could possibly mess you up if the card they play happens to be white.. There's so many different forms of removal out there its hard keeping one or two big enchanted creatures out there.
I really don't understand why so many people run Hopeful Eidolon. It just doesn't seem like enough value in a card. The 4 mana bestow just for 1/1 and lifelink seems pretty meh.

^this, and i think running hero of iroas to lessen the bestow cost isnt even worth it

This is the reason I like WB better than WU because orzhov charm answers all of that. I would not recommend Esper heroics though.
You could cut either hero of iroas or battlewise hoplite for Mizzium skin or another protection spell since niether one are essential to the core game plan. The bestow mechanic helps you recover a bit here, and favored hoplite can be tough to kill. My advice is to just win by turn 5-6. Heroic decks need to win quickly, or they usually won't. I've found that this deck mulls pretty well and can function off of as little as 2 lands, so don't be afraid to toss a hand you know can't win at God speed. I've mulled to 4 and won with this list.
I'm actually running w/r not w/u. But in your list I didn't see the charm your talking about... are you not using it?. I think your undervaluing hero of isolas. Not only does it lesson your bestow cost which in most cases quite high ithas heroics itself. So on turn 3 you could play 2 Ethel armorial one madcap skills and swing for 10. Win on turn 4.
Theoretically lol you better have protection thou which is my problem!

Hopeful, when paired with Ethereal Armors, is arguably better than Favored Hopelite. The boosted Hopeful can net you a great deal of life, and bestowing it on a late-game draw is nice.
via Aoi~
T1: Hopeful Eidolon (Favored Hopelite, Nyxbox Rollicker, Nyxborn Shieldmate)
T2: Ethereal Armor + Ethereal Armor = 7/7 First Strike
T3: Ajani, Caller of the Pride -or- Gods Willing+Boros Charm if you're w/r.

There's so many different forms of removal out there its hard keeping one or two big enchanted creatures out there.
Theoretically lol you better have protection thou which is my problem!
Hopeful, when paired with Ethereal Armors, is arguably better than Favored Hopelite. The boosted Hopeful can net you a great deal of life, and bestowing it on a late-game draw is nice.

T1: Hopeful Eidolon (Favored Hopelite, Nyxbox Rollicker, Nyxborn Shieldmate)
T2: Ethereal Armor + Ethereal Armor = 7/7 First Strike
T3: Ajani, Caller of the Pride -or- Gods Willing+Boros Charm if you're w/r.
Yes, I agree that it's better when paired with Ethereal Armors, but other than that I would pick Nyxborn Shieldmate and Favored Hoplite any other time. It just doesn't seem worth running just for the Ethereal Armor synergy.
