I am new to this forum, but I'm play Burn since RTR and now this is 2 year now.
I test many many card for best of burn and in my meta Guttersnipe is too good.
- He alone deal many damage to win.
- He need to be answer now, or else your opponent is troubled
- He is on curve and you can keep Chandra's phoenix in your hand for damage after board wipe.
About Aggressive Mining This card is just best at top curve and top deck.
I'd seen many games that burn player lose after play that card. He can't play enough land to get last 4-6 damage.
He sac 2 land to draw 4 only to get Lightning helix, And phoenix when he only had 2 land left.
What's other card from M15
- Stroke the Flame : This card is 4 damage / Highest right now and plays well with Pyromancer
- Goblin Rabblemaster : This card is incredible. 1 damage on turn 3 sound bad but 4 on turn 4 is too good.
Yesterday, I playtest more about Rabblemaster andthe result is
The Good
- He is beast against Control. He may be died but leave token as 2 for 1
- He is top of the curve. You can keep phoenix in hand while stocking burn spell and leaving him to deal.
- If 2 on board, and it means your opponent is in trouble if they have no answer right there.
- He is not bad as top deck.
- Synergy with Mutavault
The Bad
- Wothless again RG and elpeth.
- When 2 on board, sometime they are going to die for nothing
- You can't last shot when sphinx revelation is on the stack.
========================================
My result yesterday is 2-2
Win against Control / Naya Superfriend
Lose against WB Lifegain / Mono Black with 3 Merchant at turn 5 / 6 / 7

STD : UR spell / UR eldrazi / Temur eldrazi beatdown.
Modern : UR Storm / UR Delver / UR Counter Burn
As some may know I recently lost all my data (including 1.5 weeks worth of footage) so all those DEs I ran with HK (4 of them 3-1, 4-0x3 are gone) and my Modern games (it maybe a hidden blessing since I just ran the same list in every MU).
Anyhow since these next three weeks are rather busy I'll be only running 8-Mans with standard whenever I have time.
Here is the first set running a slightly edited version of William Yowell list
Metagame shifted back into small aggro so I shifted my SB back into spells (so I don't get blown out via Drown or maybe Anger) - I picked Temple of Malice over Mutavault because the draws can get rather awkward postboard when I take on the control role so knowing my options really helps (also provide protection from PE :D).
Small update
1) Currently ranked No.13 in the player of the year race (yaaay ) I believe my ceiling would be rank no.5 though I'll most likely drop back down toward top30 again once things pickup :p.
2) I built a more tradition burn deck (23 lands and no dancer) which will be used in next weeks videos - the first set may be a nice watch for some because G1 was Jund Walker and G2 was Planar Cleansing UW control

So, Stoke the Flames. A gift from the gods or no? I found it to work very well with Young Pyromancer leading to crazy plays. Tonight I did this play, 6 lands & 2 YP on field. Cast Lightning Strike, get 2 tokens, Cast Skullcrack, Get 2 tokens, convoke for free Stoke the Flames with the 4 tokens, get 2 more tokens, then cast another Stoke the flames with the last 2 mana and 2 tokens, and still get 2 more tokens. 14 damage to the face and 8 tokens created, before combat. My opponent dropped from the tournament after i did that.
Played game today went 5-1-1 and split for 1st and 2nd place.
It was a small turn out but enough to get it going.
I have the same list as magicdownunder except with 3 skullcracks and 3 stoke the flames because I felt like I needed another flexible burn spell that could hit blood baron and other 4 toughness creatures.
The reckoners and the rams were for the mirror match which i heavily anticipated (3 other burn decks in the tournament) but i never faced one.
The 1 ofs I feel are flex spots but I really like banishing and pillar.
Notes: *Elspeth, Sun's Champion should be a 3rd Mizzium Mortars but I'm running her because I think its a cute wincon vs Gx Devo *Raise the Alarm is still just a lightly tested experiment I'm not recommending it yet - I do however enjoy 2-for-1'ing Small Aggro, Ambushing MoW, Tapping down DD and the synergy with YP and Stoke the Flame (T4 you can play Alarm and Stoke EoT, if you have YP can play all 3 @_@). * For next 4 days I'll be uploading videos with this list so if your interested just sub and watch
Some of Positive thing
- Satyr Firedancer is good after SB
- Boros reckoner is the best backup againt creature based meta a my LGS
- Chandra as 1 is good when you win-more.
Bad thing is
- Phoenix is dealt with and many people at my LGS SB with magma spray // For answer both phoenix and Voice of Resurgence. Maybe next time I'll play 3 Phoenix and 1 SFD
- My 3 mutavault proof it is 1 too much. It make your mana base worse and be target for searing blood.

I'm really not trying to sound like a jerk here, but why are you attacking with Mutavault when they have Searing Blood mana open?
If a deck is running red, you should assume they're going to run Magma Spray. If they are, make it dead and run 0 creatures (or if you do, make them creatures you don't care about losing). MDU does it in one of his vids (I think).
- About Mutavault, I didn't attack. But I try to point out that when you rely on it, sometimes thing didn't go right. Such as Color screw and you can't attack with it when you opponent open manaa(Searing blood, Devouring Light or Last Breath) So I prefer 2 than 3 cuz 3 is more than need in my opinion.
- Magma Spray is my fault. I SB it but I never thought someone use it against me. So It's my bad.
Thank you to reply and talking with me. I'm only one to play Rw Burn @ my LGS. So it's good to talk to you all.

In my opinion, if you're running Satyr Firedancer, you can probably get away without Boros Reckoner. Would be better for your curve, also.
In games with red involved, I'll most likely completely take out my Chandra's Phoenixes. I took them out last night against a weird RUG deck. After the match, he showed me his hand and it was two Magma Sprays. So, two completely dead cards, which gave me the upper hand. Try to keep that in mind for next time.
- I always SB 2 Magma spray for mirror match [Target: Phoenix and low toughness creature] and Voice of resurgence. I thought 3 is too much and because it's pure removal that we can't shoot it to the LP is too bad.
- I plan to MD 3 x Chained to the rock and 1 more in SB to fight with UW that fight with Thrune angel.
Now waiting the KtK ... and ready to farewell of RTR
