Whipflare, Arc Trail and Act of Aggression take up 10 spots in the SB. Then a random mix of artifact hate. What red sorely misses is a way to get rid of enchantments. Has anyone found a way to without splashing?
Now that you mention it, yeah mono red lacks enchantment hate. I don't think having 4 Rootbound Crag is enough to side in 3-4 Naturalize.
I can't think of any red card at the moment that can get rid of Enchantments.
Btw, Most of the time I find myself needing to draw since I end up with an empty hand (thus running out of gas) or holding onto 1 card to make an opponent think. Has anyone have any inputs on putting a few draw cards for mono red? Something like Desperate Ravings or Dangerous Waver?
My friend who has always been a control player told me last week that he loves seeing mono red players with an empty hand, because he can control the game. Which is true kinda true. One game though I held 1 mountain in my hand and he was assuming it was a burn card to finish him off.

Holding a card or 2 for a bluff is fine, but it doesn't have the same effect as 2:symu: mana open. I may test 2 forest in my build and 2 naturalize SB for FNM this week. Your friend is correct. I used to love to see WW players top-decking by T4 and I just sat there DoJ'ing them and controlling the board with Mr. Jace.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it....
I'm still undecided about the sideboard, but it already includes 3 Koth of the Hammer and 4 Ancient Grudge. The LGS I'm playing at is brand new, so the meta is unknown at this point. I'm just trying to burn people as fast as possible.
^ you need to keep drawing to burn as fast as possible. Heck, R/G Aggro can kill faster than Mono Red.
I've tried burning the OPP as fast as possible and I keep ending up with 1-2 cards in my hand and eventually running out of cards to play. I spend the rest of the match hoping to top deck another burn spell. And if I do, the OPP has already gained board advantage or recovered.
In any case, I'd like to see your results, and a bit about the new LGS
I went 2-3, all three losses were against Wolf Run Ramp. Once they have a titan on the field, it's hard to deal with. Especially now that I see people using Glimmerpost in WRR, it's getting harder to race them before they stabilize.

I have found that Act of Treason & Act of Aggression are better than average in the WRR matchup. Not always a win, but they have helped me in the past to squeak out a victory. Aggression is especially good against Inferno Titan since it is an instant.

Yes, I used 4 Traitorous Blood in my sideboard, but those Glimmerposts are killers, especially since when they hit the battlefield they count as seeing each other. If it wasn't for those land drops, I would have won 2 of those match ups. Time to go back to the drawing board.
Here is the list I played at my local AVR Gameday event. Actually, this list shows some changes I have already made to the sideboard-- namely the readdition of Ratchet Bomb. The bomb is very needed against token builds.
Also, I'm beginning to cool on the addition of the Legionnaire. I think maybe he needs to go.
I took first with this build but suggestions are always appreciated.
@Embermage--How does this sound:
-4 Shrine
+2 Vexing Devil
+2 Faithless Looting
I have removed all of the shrines from my build; in this meta they are too slow. Another option that I am testing in place of said cards is 4x Lightning Mauler. Jury is still out, as I don't have anything worthwhile to "soulbound" it to that doesn't already have haste. Looks like it might be better in a Boros build.

I'm leaning towards going with more burn as well. I'll be including Dangerous Wager somewhere in the main deck to help once I run out of steam.
Big thanks to Rivenor for the sig!
