I've always been a heavy white weenie / GW aggro or midrange player at FNM.
Lately, BR is taking off at my LGS - and I was wondering how others deal with Thundermaw Hellkite and Knight of Infamy
Would using Fog effect cards be the only option here? Obviously, with the hellkite I can use any removal - but the initial swing is going to hurt, bad. The Knight, however - I'm not sure what to do against him.
What colors are you playing? If playing black, you have a ton of options against them before they swing. Tragic Slip and Ultimate Price to list to say a couple.

Understand, Dredge is not really a Magic: The Gathering deck. When a card is playable in it, it doesn't mean it's a tournament playable card. It means it's playable in whatever crazy fantasy world that Dredge operates in.
If I'm playing R/x wouldn't want to see lots of Centaur Healers and Thragtusks.
Rhox Faithmender is scary, specially if you're gaining 6+ life per round (there are times were you would gain 10+ with him).
Loxodon Smiters, and Silklash Spiders (which is very good against flyers) are great additions as well.
Edit: Adding R and you'll have access to Pillar of Flame which is good against Gravecrawlers, Messengers, and Aristocrats. Thundermaw is negated by having tons of life and good board presence. Selesnya Charm and Spider deals with him.
Silklash Spider is one of the cards I want to see least in this matchup. Centaur Healer, Slesnya Charm, Loxodon Smiter, Thragtusk, and Rhox Faithmender are all good too.

Yep.
good stuff.
If i was gonna splash tho id splash black for lingering souls and tragic slip.
In this order: Thragtusk/centaur healer/loxodon smiter/lingering souls/odric
= lifegain/lifegain/early big creature/chump blockers/first strike
I run G/W/B midrange and actually do very well against R/B aggro, especially after SB. If you can survive to 5/6 mana, you usually win. Its also pretty important in this matchup to have a dork in your opener so you can drop on of those 3 drops on turn 2, if you don't its tough to keep up with their speed.

Thanks!

I've seen a lot of people lose because they drew a RiP against Snapcaster Mage or Zombie cards.
