Reposting what I posted earlier in the Lux Cannon deck forum. I feel like this UB deck could be really good.
My deck that I have been turning has been sick. I have destroyed FNM the past 2 weeks and can beat UW and Ramp with ease. Lux cannon is the real deal. The Cannon has won every game that it has resolved. It is quite easy to resolve against any non blue deck, and takes careful playing around against U/x decks but wins the game outright. The only problem you might face is people packing in revoke existance. Which is why I have included some a strong discard/removal package in the maindeck. Creature decks are easy too since all the creatures in my deck are 2 for 1 guys. I really think this deck is lethal and should be further tested by people. I hate to blow out this deck list but I think it's the only way people can try and see how strong it really is. The only card slot I am debating is Frost vs Grave titan. I also think that the 4th Negate could be another flashfreeze with the Ramp/Elf decks roaming around.
Edit: Sadistic Sacrament has been fantastic, if not the best card in the deck. An early Inquisition to remove a counter, lets this card resolve and remove basically 3 of Valakut, Primeval, etc (whatever the hell will likely help them win).
The only thing that I really messed with was replacing the Jace package with Mimic Vat. I found that this deck does a poor job of protecting the Jace cards. As such, Jace TMS becomes (2)(U)(U): Brainstorm, and baby Jace becomes (1)(U)(U): Draw a card. That's just not enough card advantage for the mana.
As for the choice of playing Mimic Vat, I've found that it absolutely screws with opponents. They have to use 2 removal spells to permanently remove my cards, and when they're on mimic vat, they're actually stronger than normal. This works especially well against ramp, because unless that titan attack wins them the game that turn, it usually loses the game instead.
This is a list that I came up with and has been putting up rather decent results at my local FNM. Unfortunately, as we all know, FNM does not always bring top tier decks. That being said, I was wanting to get some feedback about the list I compiled. Any card choice questions please ask and feel free to be as candid as you want.
I guess a slightly unconventional take on the deck, although it's similar to the one that won the Virginia States tournament. More diversity of answers, plus my personal favorite include, Specter + Mimic Vat.
I'm not having a great-match up against Eldraziramp, anyone tipps or tricks for me? :/
#1 Sideboard - here it looks like you have the sb slot you need to win this matchup, in Consume the Meek, but waiting til turn 4 or 5 against elves isnt the best idea, so you have to be proactive in stopping them. you should include 2-3 ratchet bomb because it is a really important card in this meta, and is helpful because it does two things for the matchup. first it is a visible threat to the elf player's board, they now have to play around a sweeper that can hit the majority of their cards. They will now play around the bomb, buying you time. #2 it sweeps. need i say more?
#2 Playing against elves - you will face one of two different versions of elves. The aggro version "girl scouts" running copperhorn scout, which is a nasty deck because it can win in 5 turns, but it has no late game. It will get rocked by a well timed sweeper, it will vomit it's hand onto the board. Anything that creates card advantage will help against this deck.
The more controlling version will play genesis wave, and eldrazi monument. The key against this deck is timing, and once again card advantage. Their main source of CA is genesis wave, which is a killer, but they have to tap out to use it's potential. This means counterspells past turn... 4? also play around the monument. Into the roiling a monument is devastating, as well as a consume the meek in response to the monument being played.
