I'm collecting the duals to do this but I'm building a midrange junk deck that works with heartless summoning, restoration angel, thragtusk, and centaur healer to keep me alive through the early game and drop Obzedat.
Once he is out combined with soul of the harvest it should supply me with continuous card draw and threats to finish the game.
I realize soul of the harvest is rather meh but I'm no really sure what better options there might be.
I have liked that creature since its release and am contemplating it. working it in to create synergy with the others is where i become unsure. Although he can close out games on his own.
perhaps as an additional threat to munch on early game creatures
Farseek > Heartless Summoning. It ramps 1 mana less, but it fixes your mana, ramps your non-creature spells as well and doesn't make your creatures weaker

It really depends on the situation, Heartless basically gets you turn 5 thragtusks, bloodgift demons by itself. It also give you the ability to drop multiple 3 or 4 drops in one turn. It's probably best to just play booth.
As for suggestions, Bloodgift demon or mentor of the meek for card draw. Bitterheart witch a way to get a card like curse of death's hold but still get the heartless discount.
For life gain I may cut the centaur healer and replace it with rohx faith mender or tree of redemption, both have big butts, only have 1 colored mana and get the full heartless discount.
A 40 dollar mythic rare would constitute a must have 4 of that goes in many decks.
Stats About Mythics
-Mythics are on average 40% rarer than pre-mythic rares
(old blocks about 200 rares, Mythic blocks 35+ mythics)
-They are printing more new cards a year not less
(about 665 now vs. 630 in most pre-mythic block)
-To drop the value of a rare by $1 a mythic must go up $2
-In a 3 year time span deck prices doubled. I am petitioning for the removal of mythic rarity. Sig this to join the cause.
In all honesty i loved ub heartless and played the crap out of it but it feels like it lost so much and without solemn or metamorph the it feels really slow.
I think the green would really add a faster method of stabilizing and the life gain nullifies most aggro strategies, save bant hexproof.
But that can be solved easily with devour flesh and tribute.
green also opens us up to some better removal of sorts like abrupt decay and bramble crush.
god i love bramblecrush... not the double green though
green also offers a fatty WORTH ramping into: sylvan primordial. i am currently playing a BUG heartless deck on MTGO. crypt ghast is a good 4 drop ramper, although not nearly as good as solemn simulacrum was IMO

Let's face it... the only reason for Green in the mix is that you need another option for turn 2 ramping. And preferable the 4-mana ramp too.
If you hate the deck, I'm probably playing it!
