Mythic seems really strong right now. Its a great deck IMO, but thats just me. I was playing a regular old Bant Deck at the last tourney I went to and got squashed rounds one and two by this type of Bant.
Anyone have any thoughts on next level bant? Just won a PT event in the hands of Kibler.

yup that twas me!!!!!!!!! congrats "friend" lol i missed top 8 by 1 point... but good job man...i saw your list and I recognized your board, wish I coulda cut into top 8
The Winner was actually a friend used to go to high school with. The Phildelphia area was crawling with bant (At the Philly Open Hosted by Nick Cross, there where several mirror match ups of Bant vs Bant), so its not terribly a surprise. All it takes however to bring Conscription down is the right removal spells, as the right time.
You went to stoga?
And it's Nick Coss isn't it? He's the man, I won copies of Jace, Gideon, and BSA through his Philly Open that I actually have to play (being poor FTW). And I also once left my binder at his dealer's table by accident at a tournament. I got it back later through Chas thanks to Nick, he really is a good guy.
And you make defeating Conscription sound very simple.
And I don't recall Bant being everywhere at the Philly open... I know Brad, Fred, and I all took it and top 8'd with another conscription, but I'm not so sure it made up a large percentage of the field.

I made it in as 8th place standing, last person with 25 points. Having your name announced 8th for top 8 is torture. So you went 8-2 then? That seems like a pretty beefy record and worthy of a good job friend as well, so you still got top 16 and went home significantly happier than most of the 521 players.

very true, i went 5-0 from round 5 lol, i had literally the cluchest round 7-10 games i've ever experienced in magic my friend.

I honestly don't see decks as difficult wins, its more of adjusting your strategy so that you can win. For Bant its a matter of removal at the right time. Right now I play mostly RDW, so its all about pressing the burn spell at the right time. So turn one Birds/Hierach should be burned away, Turn 2 or three Cobra should be as well, ect. ect.
Perhaps i'm exaggerating about the philly open, but I do recall seeing several bant decks. I saw at least 4-5, which is alot considering how expensive the deck actually is.
I played Bant 5 out of 10 rounds at the $5k (4 mythic, 1 next level). For me, it was quite prevalent, and I believe I only played the top 16 Mythic deck in the 9th round and didn't face any of the top 8 ones. There was a lot of UWx control. I didn't personally play any Jund, but I saw a lot of that as well.
If they’re so good tell me why the only good eldrazi deck we've seen in t2 doesn't run it.
Why did none of the beatdown or ramp decks in BLOCK run it?
Oh, cause it sucks.
Actually it does see play out here in Arizona, there's a G/U list that Adam Prosack runs, thats caught on in popularity. (Personally I hate the deck). Uses U for card draw and a few counters, and green for big creatures like Avenger Zendikar and Rampaging Baloths to finish you off.

I tested Channelers pretty extensively for San Juan and it was just not good enough. For Block. When I wanted ramp, it was a creature. When I wanted a creature, it was ramp. It also significantly impacted the design options by forcing you to play more creatures than you might want to.
But is it good? The only list in T2 we've seen so far that is good doesn't run it - and no real deck in any format has either.
I've run it in my Mythic and Vengevine Naya decks at tournaments in place of Knight of the Reliquary where it helped me win games. They helped me fix my mana and gave me a 5/5 depending on what was on my top deck. My losses were due to my opponent top decking answers and not doing the correct sideboard where I could have advanced very far in those tournaments..

In Mythic it seeps horrifically worse than KotR, KotR adds 3 with Lotus Cobra, and beats in for far more than 5 by the end of the game. Plus he can tutor up Sejiri Steppe.

Yes indeed. Graduated 08', I gave a speech about Ryan Kerr during graduation.

Oracle of Mul Daya = Awesome.
Mul Daya Channelers = Talara's Battalion

Wow I'm retarded. I was totally thinking of the Oracle. I always assume when someone says Mul Daya its the Oracle.

really dont agree, in my green overrun aggro deck, it's freaking fantastic
drop an overrun with her as a 5/5, suddenly your opponent has to answer to an 8/8 with trample, which can happen quickly
it also provides 2 mana of any colour, i have also used it in my R/G token spawn deck
really don't agree.
