I got bored playing my usual white/green decks. I also was wondering why no one really created a Grixis deck that functions near how jund does, and takes its disadvantages into advantages.
This deck was intially something threw together that just ran people over. Now, its the BRU version of Jund basically. This what I call Turmoils of Grixis. It utilizes a lot of the power Jund has and turns into more of an advantage point then it can. BBE meet Kathari Remenant, a 4 casting cascader that regenerates with flying. Hi -insert creature-, eat my unblockable 3/2 manland. You have more creatures then me? Meet my goblin tokens, when you block, I'm going to kill you plainswalker. This deck is full of answers and full of hard hitters. Wrexial, a 6 cost legendary. Sure, comes into play, may eat removal, say hi to swerve and double negative. And everytime he attacks he can use your instants/spells in your graveyard to backfire on them. Not only that, he has swampwalk and islandwalk. I sure do thing there is a lot with this deck people can think of. Hopefully this may become an archtype. Taking this to FNM next week to get playtest results. All variant welcome. Please post your builds for discussion :P!
Those are three of the current lists that are viable variants to idea. :D!
P.S. If you feel this is nothing like Jund, post a list of your own that makes it like Jund. I think my list is jundish. But it can't be JUND because it doesn't run green. But IMO, any Grixis deck > Jund.
Any suggestions, ideas, and or input? I'd like to see other people's variations.

I don't believe you can swerve a Terminate back into the Bloodbraid Elf that cascaded it. Technically the BBE isn't on the field when the terminate resolves (it's still on the stack).

I mean, think about it - resource denial works. It always has. And what is your opponents biggest, most important resource? His turn.

Well his opponent could have decided to resolve the elf first, then pick a target for terminate. It doesn't sound too far fetched seeing how unplayed swerve is right now.
Exactly, plus he had multiple other creatures I could have swerved it into you, e.g, putrid. (That died from my bolt though so. lol)
But also, this isn't about magic rulings.
I wonder, is there a way to get some accel into this deck?

What...? No. Just no.
There is no picking what happens first. When you play a card with cascade, it triggers the cascade ability. Once a card is found that meets the requirements, it then goes on the stack above whatever the cascade trigger was. The cascaded card then resolves followed by the cascade trigger.
nemesis of reason needs to go. Nemesis goes in decks that want to win by milling the opponent. This one wants damage so out it goes. Same reason you dont have tome scour in here. Decks need focus and mill is a linear strategy where it works well all together but you cant just sprinkle a lil mill in a deck and have it go well. it turns out useless.

Everflowing Chalice is a card that generates mana and can fit into any color deck. Of course, it is only colorless though :/
I was thinking about that because it can drop the cost on a few things like Thrxiamundar and Nicol Bolas, Plainswalker to 3/4 mana drop creatures with open mana still to prot them.
Take out the veldaken ghoul, thrax, and the nemesis. The ghoul isn't in anyway a useful card and thrax, while quite an interesting card, dies too easily to removal. Instead put in 3-4xSphinx of Jwar Isle, and 3-4xGull Draz Spector, these cards will give you a strong offensive advantage late game. Also definitely run chalices and a couple Goblin Assaults, Iv'e seen people use this in grixis aggro, it's insane and effective. You may also want to run Spellbound Dragon, because . . . well, all decks are better with izzet color dragons, its the first law of physics.

Well, it can either be a pick between spellbound dragon or Sphinx. You honestly do not need both in the deck. But I'll see if I can do a 1 sphinx 2 dragon thing.
Seems like a much better list, but replace the two dragons with sphinxs; 5/5 flyers that let you know what card you may be drawing next and can't be Terminated are a lot better than the dragons. You may also want to play Treasure Hunt for some much needed card draw.
I've been testing this deck and it seems to fair against other decks better. Nicol almost always comes out now too. He has not been any of my wincon's though since I've used him to destroy lands/enchants/artifacts and take control of baneslayers for the wins. He is pretty nice for control, espicially with Jace by his side using his brainstorm, bounce abilities to protect them both. Double Negative and Swerve work hand in hand now. I swerve kill and double negative cascader's for example BBE.
Replacing Nemesis is easy and the creature you get is actually quite amazing. Wrexial, the Risen Deep. He is double bolt proof and can't get hit by doomblade. He cant be blocked by baneslayer (unless they are willing to chump with her) has unblokable against vamps, control builds and jund and when he hits hard he reuses removal, direct damage or draw. He is very good.
Oh and im not saying you should use this card but maybe SB Mind Control. People dont use it that often but it is a great card if the opponent plays big creatures. You get to remove their creature and get one yourself!
Wow that is a very nice card. I think I'm going to -1 Sphinx and +1 Wrexial or I don't know o.o;! I still need another low cost creature. So I threw in Death's Shadow.

Card notes:
Mana base- Just threw something together quickly.
Bituminous Blast- Really good card, and I see no reason it can't work in this deck.
Kederekt Parasite- I wanted the deck to have a 1-drop.
Kathari Remnant- Cascade makes it much better than it seems. In one game this held off a Raging Ravine for four turns, long enough to win via a Tar Pit.
With that being said, Jace 2 and Sphinx of Jwar Isle would probably make the deck stronger. Not sure about Death's Shadow- it can't be played early.
A nice thing about this deck is that in the 7 games I played, it didn't get manascrewed at all, due to the lower quantity of multicolor cards than Jund.

I like your build because it is very unsimilar to mine, although it runs the same way. I like the regenerator so I think I may remove siege-gang for it. Although, i love siege gang's effect. Sadly, I have 2 open slots now so I'm just going to dump remenant in there. Bitumanous is good, but it would suck to cascade into a double negative of swerve and I actually did think about it. It is true that this build doesn't get manaskrewed. I really like your build, but -1 nicol bolas, you really only need one :P!
Edit: Take it back, cascade works in your build since you don't use counters. I'm going to run the cascader's in my build. +2 bit blast -2 Treasure hunts and +3 Remnants. Lets see if I can cascade into jace :D!
Shambling remain's can't block which can be pretty bad. Though, it is a 3 cost for a 4/3 and I have ran this in my old Jund deck. I don't think it would work. I like the skele zombie approach honestly. It gives it some pizzaz. Or however you spell that.
Anyways, I just played Jund.
Went 2-0
First game, He got an early ramp-up to a BBE. Ended up bolting it. Already had a sedraxis out third turn, fourth turn I dropped jace and bounced one of his thranx's, swung and made him discard a maelstorm. He then terminated my sedraxis, but he didn't kil my jace. Next turn I brainstormed, got two kathari's and a tide, put a tide on top and drop kathari. Then I held a bolt in my hand waiting for anything he threw next turn. He ended up dropping a siege-gang. Quickly bolted it. My next turn, drew the other kathari, didn't know what else would come. Ended up holding my mana tight, (had to double negatives) and swung. Unearth'd sedraxis and swung, made him discard a thranx. Next turn he dropped BBE, I double negative'd, (he cascaded into a bolt, just my luck :p) Next turn i basically took the board into my own and dropped wrexil and said gg.
Second game, he attempted to ramp like before though I swerve'd a harrow early on. I gain two, he sac's a land. so third turn I end'd up dropping jace and sent a BBE to bottom of his deck. Fifth turn...well it was pretty much over. Jace that kinda owned his face til he killed it. Oh well. I had a jwar jwar out and a sedraxis and double blightning him for win.

wrexial has a small window of evasion. imo, if you're gonna play it, play it in a grixisjund list that is heavy on land AND hand disruption and derive a little strategy from spread 'em and throw in spreading seas and convincing mirage.
and then add the right amount of whatever seems fit.
also for grixisjund decks in general; you can use Deny Reality. that works on planeswalkers, lands, enchantments and artifacts, which black/red/blue usually has no answers for.

True. Although, I'd try to avoid spreading sea's. Mono blue hurts. I'm thinking about dropping bit blast for deny reality. Both really good for cascade, though two completely different uses. Though, deny reality is prob going to win this one.
Another thing is mind rot is like a knock off blightning. I wouldn't play it. Wrexial isn't a guarentee'd come into the game win-con. I usually win early on with sedraxis. If it stays out thats 3 + a 1 card discard. Then I just blightning and bolt what needs to die. Terminate the biggy's.
Jund has a nice early game with Leech. This deck uses Strix for this purpose- I wouldn't want to cut them, although Nighthawks are definitely very good. I'm just worried they might slow the deck down too much.
