I've got the funniest feeling that blue is going to be real good soon. I want to snatch up all the good blue cards in standard right now while they're so cheap. If my hunch is correct, I will have a bunch of cards to make good standard decks when blue gets good in a few months. If my hunch is not, I will have a bunch of blue cards to throw in casual decks and play my friends.
I had this pegged to go up, I was expecting Worldwake to have some kind of Storm mechanic, but seeing as we know it's Multikicker, I'm not so sure.
And Sphinx of Jwar Isle is definitely a safe bet. I bought an extra playset off eBay just for trade fodder, because I know they're underpriced at the moment. They'll easily climb up a good $5-10 when Blue decks are more prevalent.

Or, they won't. Cause you know, precons and such.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Blue's agressive, low-cost fliers are champs. We have enough parts already that a smooth curve is available, pretty much, and they evade earthquake, forcing opponents to stock AOE burn that can't kill sphinxes. Blue's finishers are also pretty boss, and there's enough bounce and relevant counters to make blue attractive once the cardpool grows some.
Yeah, I know that people complain about blue often, such as "I don't play blue to play beatdown decks.", but seriously. Evasion plus what's shaping up to be solid interference? It looks pretty sweet.
Aside from what has been listed, I think Twincast and Mindbreak Trap have potential, the latter more b/c it has the ability to counter uncounterable spells.
Telemin performance too often brings up junk. It's not reliable enough for its cost. I mean, it'll mill out creatureless decks, but there aren't enough of them for it to be a concern yet.

Except evasion isn't very good in this environment, since most of your opponent's creatures will be bigger and thus can easily race you.
His point was that "Omg it's in a precon" doesn't mean the prices won't rise. SoJI is a fantastic card, and is dramatically underpriced because of the meta. To be fair, it's risen a little closer to where it should be recently, but it's still underpriced. You could pick them up for $1-2 after Zendikar released.

I would not call it fantastic, and I play it. Jitte drove up the precon price because it was worth more than the precon it was in. Sphinx, however, is at best a 6$ card, and that is generous.
The game had far fewer players back then and Limited during Kamigawa was not a favorite. This is a new era with more product printed, opened, and ultimately distributed among players. This helps keep the supply equal to the demand of such card like Sphinx of Jwar Isle. This is why Baneslayer's price jumped after the release of ZEN, people stopped opening as much M10, decreasing supply and driving up the price.

This is my blue MVP for my turbo-fog/"Jacerator" deck. I'm shocked that no one has mentioned this one yet. Twincast combos well with Archive Trap but even better with Time Warp.

...which is exactly what will happen when people stop opening Zendikar packs when RoE/M11/"Lights" come out (Assuming SoJI isn't in M11). Hence me saying the price of SoJI will rise when Blue decks become more popular.

hey, there are some big and cheap blue beaters besides Jwar Jwar Sphinx...
Zendikar has Living Tsunami, while M10 offers that 3/4 illusion...
He is so man, he is mario, and I will tell my opponents such. As and when I bounce their permanent I will exclaim "MARIO" as though he were stomped on by our mighty Jace. Every time someone kill him I will give them 99 USD (not AUS!!!) because their lightning bolt should cost 100 DOLLARS...
Jace even made it into the Teenage Super Hero Mutant Ninja Hero Turtles.

Blue cards I've already got:
4 Sphinx of Lost Truths
4 Inkwell Leviathan
4 Lullmage Mentor
2 Merfolk Sovereign
I know I want to buy my last 2 Merfolk Sovereign, and I want to get 4 mind spring but aside from these, I'm drawing a blank on what to get.
Here's hoping merfolk get as good as I hope in standard!
Master of Etherium
Master Transmuter
Cancel can't get enough cancel... or so WOTC thinks reprinting it in every set.
Jace, both versions are worth getting... when WWK comes out.
archive trap
mindbreak trap
are good cards
don't forget rite of replication if kicked on a lullmage... well its awesome...
cosi's trickster could be a future bomb.
archmage ascension may be good but i fail to see how...
Gfast animals slow shildrenG
51-18-4 (retired as of 6-4-11)
These won't be good until "Lights" comes out, at which point they'll rotate, so..

The precon would climb in price too. Say hello Rat's nest.
My votes are thus for Umara Raptor and Welkin Tern, and quite possibly also Windrider Eel.
