i put the hierarchs in there becuase i was getting land flooded (took out 4 lands for them) and they can help lator game with the exult triger on them.
i took the paths out of the side becuase i often had a hard time castinging (i dont know why) and added another stag and 2 more finks
so far this deck is 6-1 only loseing jund cascade becuase i got extraly land flooded both games
For what it's worth...
I have spent the last month playing Time Sieve and have had pretty good luck with it. I haven't played UG Timewalkers (Or Walk hard) very much, but I simply cannot beat it with Time Sieve. So, of course, I have been playing UG online today and it's good. I am going to sleeve up the build I have been playing with and I'll see if I can report back. I have technically made it Bant by adding a single Empyrial Archangel, but she is pretty amazing on her own in this deck.
I was going to say that I want to simplify the land base, but it looks like other people here have already done what I was thinking:
So, this is what I came up with. For whatever reason, I hate running decks with creatures in them and I think that is part of the appeal of this deck. That said, I think I might go for 2 Maindeck Arbiter of Knollridge for the lifegain (I get beat up pretty bad early game) and
because of what Adoril20 said. Vigilance is so huge with the deck and hitting the double white for the angel hasn't been too bad, but W is always easier than WW.
Well its deff really fun to play.
I think Call the Skybreaker could be useful in here, as I said on the last page. Lorescale Coatl is a decent creature that abuses taking extra turns and Howling Mine/Jace drawing. I also posted on the last page that it won me a game after Cryptic tapped their team. Coatl swing, Time Warp-draw mad cards, swing again, win.
I dont think Ponder is needed in here. We draw so many cards, its kinda useless.
I may try a Call the Skybreaker in place of one Oona.
i have been running 4 time warp and only 2 savor the moments and it is working very well. I usually get to have the mana to play a time warp on turn 3.
Also, if you guys are interested here go check out extended walk hard.
with howling mine my deck has functioned fine...i am playing reliquary tower. then again i was playing against turbofog...
I've been poppin in and out of the thread and was thinking about a turbofog type get, with lorescale coatl, jace, howling mine, and other stuff, and I havnt played in a while or with the new rules, and wanted to double check, if my opponent casts lets say bloodbraid elf, and cascades into idk a blightning, if I cast silence do they both get RFG'd...im sorry Im not saying exiled and battlefield and stuff
Yea, I had thought of throwing a singleton Banefire into the mix because its so awesome with Twincast. Anyone have a tournament report for that list, like what he played against and such?
alrighty, well I figure the best way to get some help and contructiveness ( is that a word ) going on is to post it up with the experts right? so here is what is going on in my brain, crude, needs to be tuned, pretty much a bant edition of this deck, not going out to get lorwyn and shadowmoor block stuff, just because I won't be finding time to play competively before then
like I said, crude list:
silence, for cascade decks, 2-4-1
kish of amesha, not as good as primal, but future maybe?
naya charm for the ability to tap down, or return, or remove
I was considering offering to asha as bigger counter but in the mirror a soft counter isnt gona do it
the list at the tournament didn't use fog. we already considered it locked in the final deck. any thoughts on this? should we really use it??? is it worth it???
anyways, here is my new list:sideboard included...(i chose the m10 dual lands to splash for the sideboard.
What about bringing in some turbo, like howling mine? Then taking extra turns gets a whole lot sweeter.
Also, this might want to think about white, since elspeth is amazing, and great with garruk. Also gives you trace of abundance so you don't loose to Cryptic command bouncing your land. Its hard to come back form that kind of setback. Plus you can run marshall coup (great with Garruk and defends planeswalkers, plus an extra win con) and even throw in an Ajani Vengeant thanks to mana accel/fixing like fertile ground or trace of abundance.
White might e good here but traces totally ruins garruk...ajani is too many colors for this and marshal coup needs to be 7 otherwise its not that goods...

Seems a little odd, do you ever get mana screwed?
(note- i had a hierarch turn one and that kept me up for 2 turns)

WUBRGPauper Battle BoxWUBRG ... and why I am not a fan of Wayne Reynolds' Illustrations.
Originally I had 24, now Im down to 23..I wonder if I can go down to 22 as well.
This deck does have an excellent matchup against Timesieve.
The Archangel is pretty sick, I just wish it wasnt double white to cast.
Let me know how you do with it, and do you mind posting your list?
because of what Adoril20 said. Vigilance is so huge with the deck and hitting the double white for the angel hasn't been too bad, but W is always easier than WW.

I highly recommend running just 2, but whatever works best for ya.

3 Garruk Wildspeaker
4 Cryptic Command
3 Primal Command
3 Time Warp
23 Land
When I got online with Howling Mine and a walker, games went smooth. If an opponent is able to establish a big field, its hard to win sometimes
