I guess ppl are saying 3C > 5C..
then...which colour beats fae on a more consistent base?
I mean...fae is one of strongest deck that's out there
Fae and Kithkin... and it seems that Kithkin is starting to take over Fae's #1 spot. I've actually started seeing Kithkin decks running Paladin en-Vec in the sideboard along with Stillmoon... either one of those can really do a number on Planeswalkers, whichever build you choose.
The "which version is best" debate is gonna keep going on and on... I think it's just a matter of preference to the player.
With 5c you can do the "oldest" trick in the planeswalker book a couple of times... tutor with Liliana then draw it with Jace.

I would say that both versions have a hard time with Fae. I dedicated a lot of my board for that exact match up, 8 cards. The key to beating Fae is an early walker and keeping pressure on them.
Kithkin can also be tough because of the power of spec proc and cloudgoat ranger. I like the idea of running firespout in the board, for this match up, so you can bring it in and have anywhere from 4-8 mass removal after board.
I won't bash the idea of 5 color. I think it has it's merits and is playable. It's more about preference than anything. My only problem with most of the 5 color lists is that they are a little sloppy and need to be more streamlined to be effective Imo.

so in your opinion...wut should I change up for my list?
would make is less sloppy and more effective
Not a lot of changes but just cutting the inconsistent one ofs for more of the good stuff. I think the rings vs savor would be up to personal preference. I also cut the other counters, this decks plays enough creature removal that countering creatures isn't very effective. Upped the walker count to 13 and went up to 24 lands also.

no thresher...really?
I thought I still have some fighting chance with fae with thresher MD
but..taking thresher out.......
Well, I don't play Planeswalkers (though it looks like a fun deck), the general reason you play Cloudthresher is because it has Flash and can be played in response to their attempted Mistbind Clique (or anything else). Late game it can act as a secondary finisher if needed (though I've no idea if that's even needed in this deck, but it's the general philosophy behind the card).
Of the three you mentioned about, only Jund Charm is instant speed, which is very very important when playing against Faeries.

Cloudthresher is also better in the mirror, since you can flash it in and hit their planeswalkers.

and thank you
I think above point makes thresher worth the place in this deck to start with..
at least that's what I think...the purpose thresher is suppose to serve
This is pretty much my list, sb varies weekly: Usually 1-2 firespouts, 1-2 condemns, jund charms, 1-2 cavalier.
I have not tested it vs "good" players but at my local shop this deck is 12-0, but most of the good players were absent. Overall its a very fun deck to play.

Thresher is great no doubt about it but I wouldn't run it main in planeswalkers. I would rather run 4 in the board and keep the main tighter for all match ups. Now if you know you meta is something ridiculous like 60% Fae, than run the threshers main. Otherwise, just leave them in the board.

nah I dont have 60% meta.. just thought it is such an awesome finisher
and wouldn't exactly hurt to have 2 copies..
for me...3 is the magical number
I would love it to have it stop my oppoenet from attacking the walker..
or hit their walker..
but if were say to run with ur list...
what is sided for fae MU?

I would run no more than 2 Threshers in the MD. They aren't needed as much to win. You want to be riding on the back of your walkers to win.If fae is a real problem, I would Split 2-2 Thresher and Jund Charm. But thats me with a Five color Build.
Has anyone tried 4 colour? It's more consistent than 5 and has more options than 3, it could work well. I think I'll test it. 2 main thresher at the most, it is good for your late game, but you run walkers for that......
4 color is the best. liliana is pretty weak. but adding blue u gain access to jace , cryptics and negates....
cloudthresher are pretty weak md...only good as additional threats md against faerie....unless yr area is infested with faerie, keep them s/b.
to be honest..I dont like the idea of ...running a planeswalker deck without garruk.
but to comment solely on this deck..(without playtest it that is)
I'll say...loose agony warp...have some better board removal/charm
my personal favourite would be the jund charm
and...3/3 split between mind stone and StM?
I think fae would eat you alive...Elspeth doesn't stop flying tokens
even tho she does make good "road" block. in my previous version I had....Elspeth + Thrinax...aggro wasn't able to touch me at all
but get owned by fae fairly constantly
Here's an idea...
Make a Planeswalker build using the RGW walkers, Naya Charm and Spectral Procession... that would be the core to build around. The spirits could be used as road blocks while your walkers get bigger OR you could aggro them out with Sarkhan's +1 ability and Garruk's ultimate... then use Naya Charm to bring Spectral back to your hand for more fun.

Spectral + Ajani Goldmane/Sarkhan Vol is ridiculous.
BB + Ajani Goldmane/Sarkhan Vol is also ridiculous.
And we get to run both of those in the same deck! Man...sometimes I feel bad for the people that don't get to play this deck, it's just too damn fun.
peace

the planeswalker that are good are those that can protect themselves... garruk, elspeth, chandra and ajani v are better than those that cannot protect themselves. Jace is often a decoy, and liliana, sarkon vol are pretty weak becos their ability are not effective creature control...but black splash is needed, as jund charm is probably one of the best mass removal against faeries.
I ran a similar listing that top 8 in ohio, , which does not have accelerate , but has counters and more removal, it does much better against faeries. The naya version is more streamlined, but it beats everything except a faerie deck... unless a black splash for jund charm.

That seems a bit light on the land. This deck sports a high number of expensive cards (cc 4+). It should run 24 or more land to accommodate that.
