I'm not sure how liege is good for massive creature deck...
cruel is not hit very often...and by the time u get hit by cruel you probably cast liege already. blighting on the other hand is a better choice. but sb card that only handles one archtype? I dunno about that
It's not that different than before, but I have made a couple of changes. After much coercion, I am going to give Rings of Brighthearth a try. I brought in 2 of those and a 3rd Mind Stone and dropped 3x Naya Charm. I was never really thrilled to see Naya Charm, but I'll probably miss it tomorrow. In the SB I dropped the 3rd Naturalize and Cloudthresher for 2x Austere Command. One of my friends, who I am almost guaranteed to see in the finals, runs a stupid WR control deck that has all kinds of artifacts and enchantments. I also feel that it could shut down BW Tokens killing their team and how ever many Anthems and Blossoms they have out! I haven't found room for Martial Coup or Banefire in here yet, but I have been thinking about running one of those in the place of a Chandra. What to you guys feel like the best choice is there? I'm thinking Martial Coup > Banefire because NO ONE plays control in my meta at the moment. Other than those few tweaks I am really confident in this decks ability to get to 4+ mana and start serving up some whoop-ass!
Edit: Also, I think that I will run Condemn over PtE for now. I'm not really worried about most creatures unless they're swinging at me or my Walkers. If they're sitting there, for the most part, it's fine by me; they'll be hit with Wrath, Chandra, Ajani, and Firespout soon enough. Unless some creature, that doesn't plan on swinging, really starts dominating the meta, I'm fine with Condemn (at least in this deck).

trust me the leige is great cause it supplys the extra body to block. since i choose not to run wrath at all. and it help agianst dicard. hence why its in the side board there is alot of blighting arggo and cruel control in my meta. so having anti dicard works agianst 30% of the decks and adding the leiges body agianst ramp deck and swarm decks like tolken or kithkin sures up the victory.
the leige is great a 4/4 for 4 that boost up the knights and figure is awsome plus the anti discard measure;thats just gravy.
trust me until you have tried it you wont know just how good it is. I swear by them.

sigh...just played with a person that doesn't know his rules..
and said...Mistbind's champ doesn't require "target" to champ...
can someone find me a link to ruling for future reference?
502.72502.72a - Champion represents two triggered abilities. "Champion an [object]" means "When this permanent comes into play, sacrifice it unless you remove another [object] you control from the game" and "When this permanent leaves play, return the removed card to play under its owner's control." [CompRules 2007/10/01]
that seems pretty clear to me and they are seperate triggers meaning that you can hit the mistbind with PTE before you are mana shorted.

no cause..that person was ....I can champ wutever I want..
I dont need to declare my champ target
round 1 Bightening Aggro (2-1): He beat on me first game with Goblin Outlander with 2 Fists of the Demigod attached to it when I had a Finks out and a Condemn in hand!:-/ I finally drew a Wrath and he hit a Demigod that got a hit in before I could Condemn it. I almost came back, but he top-decked Banefire ftw. G2 and g3 I brought in Forge-Tender which showed up each game and probably won me those games. I sided 3x Wilt-Leaf Leige in (thanks wlkthebeast ;)), but never saw him. I made room for the 3 Leiges by dropping 1x Pithing Needle and 2x Couldthresher from the SB. I got my Walkers online g2 and g3 without much problem, but this was a fairly janky Blightening deck.
round 2 not-so-janky Blightening Aggro (2-0): He couldn't get enough mana both games and I had t3 Planeswalker both games; g2 it was Ajani and I kept his Ghitu Encampment tapped the entire game! I still feel that this is NOT an easy MU (this and the Fae feel like the worst) and I want to try to be ready for it if I decide to play this deck at the 5k next weekend!
round 3 Chapin 4cc Aggro (2-0): I really like this MU, but that might be because I was so nervous going into the round (heard a lot about this deck). I always had the right amount of removal and he never got a solid footing. He sided in Glen Elendra Archmage g2 which did remind me how vulnerable we are to control (needs to be addressed).
round 4 Elf-ball (2-0): G1 he got me to 13 t3 and would have Overrun me the next turn, but I hit my Firespout on t3. G2 was a blowout. This MU is definitely in our favor, but if we don't his removal early we get stomped.
top4 Jund Ramp (2-0): If there was a MU that was even more in our favor than Elf-ball it would be Jund Ramp. "Really, you got nothing until t3-4 either? Sweet!"
Finals Elf-ball (2-0): He conceded, saying that he'd be wasting his time, and I didn't disagree!:D
Finished first two weeks in a row! Only lost one game this week too, and that was to some retardo bull-hockey!
I will DEFINITELY be taking this to the 5k, but I need to figure out the perfect 15 for the SB. Any suggestions? Also, I was not too impressed with Rings of Brighthearth. I sided them out g2 every time except against Jund Ramp. I guess that it did end the game quicker the two times that I saw it, but I am pretty sure that I had those games anyway and it could be 2 more MD mass/target removal slots. I don't want flair at the 5k, I want consistency. However, it is only 2 slots AND it's nice having something to easily side out and they may even bring in hate for and have semi-dead cards. I think that early disruption could be crippling as well; like Doran Rock with Thoughtseize, Sculler, and Scepter of Fuge. I like the idea of Wilt-Leaf Liege in the SB for Blightening and such, but he was never in hand when I got Blightened, so I still am not completely sold on him. I think that the only two cards that may get me to run PtE over Condemn are Sculler and Glen Elendra Archmage, and if I drop Rings, I could run a combination of both Condemn AND PtE. Any help and advice over the next few days before the big tourney will be greatly appreciated!

@Magician : I actually dropped rings as it was feeling like a win more card most of the time. Yes it's great to copy the abilities but I absolutely hated topdecking it. I put Abundance in it's place to make sure I keep on drawing answers and threats when I go into topdecking mode. It's actually working out quite nicely for me. I don't mind having to reveal the card as most of the time I will be playing it anyways. I've got a tourney today and get back with a report as well as some info on how Abundance went today.

You're the one who's wrong here. You don't have to declare a champion target because the ability doesn't target anything (real simple, it doesn't have the word "target" in it).

Really did you ever think you did well because you just played a bunch of horrible decks that planeswalker should beat hella easy?
i think dropping the rings is silly, why not just put in more cards that can exploit the rings. To be honest you're not going to be running into such easy decks all the time and the rings doesn't become a win more card it's more of a hey i can win card.
That's from my personal experience in a fae, kithkin, 5cc, rdw heavy meta over the last 5 months
I went 6-0 last night as well beat Fae twice kithkin once 5cc twice and i got a rdw which just conceded after the first game
People should really try Obelisk of Alara so much fun with rings...
Ok so it didn't go really great today but that was not anybodys fault except bad luck.
Round 1 : 2-0 against some mono white jank with elspeth
Round 2 : 1-1 against bant control with troll astetic and shield of oversoul.
Last game went to time
Round 3 : 0-2 against jund tokens as in the first game didn't see any sweepers and second game had to mull to 5 and no white mana the whole game
Round 4 : 2-0 against blightning but it was a bit jankie.
All in all I should have won all my matches but as said above it wasn't because of play mistakes but just bad luck. Abundance and Razer were absolutely brilliant. Was so much happier with abundance than Rings. Definitely not switching back. Any comments?

I would only consider one of the decks that I played against (the janky Blightening Aggro) as anywhere near "horrible", but I do feel that they were all good MUs for me.
I can't think of any other spells that I would want to play (aside from maybe Scepter of Dominance and Obelisk of Alara) with activated abilities. Out of those two, the Obelisk makes the most since, but it would probably have to be switched out with a Planeswalker (maybe loosing 1x Chandra) which is not adding more cards with activated abilities.
As for Rings helping against bad MUs, that's only if you get it before they can Cryptic (and running 2x MD, that's not likely) or pummel you to death. If I were to drop the 2x that I have MD, it would probably be to add 3x PtE (dropping 1x Condemn as well), which can also help in those Mus. I just hate running situational/conditional cards, and (as you mentioned) I am not running an insane amount of cards to abuse it. Does it really help in those MUs?! Seriously though, please convince me to keep it! The two times that I got it, I owned, but as I said before, those games were in the bag anyway.
I have only played against the Fae a few times, and it wasn't pretty. Do you play 4-5 colors? That could make a difference. Can you post your list?
Fae and 5c are all I'm really worried about, but I'm not even sure if 5cc is a bad MU because no one here plays it.

that's exactly what he said
but why in other playtest agaisnt shin he target his champ?
I was musing on what might be good with conflux in the mix now, and It seems to me that just about anything with 4 Volcanic Fallout, 2 Banefire and some mana ramping will beat faeries as long as the rest of the deck is decent, so I was thinking what deck that kind of shell fits best into, and it seems to me its the planeswalker deck, which (I think) had decent matchups vs most of the rest of the field before conflux, and I dont think there is any reason for that to change now. So here is my proposed build of Naya 'walkers post conflux.
About the mana base. Yes it might be slightly better with a lot of filter and pain lands and reflecting pools. For me its a meta choice because there are a lot of esperlark in my meta and about half of those have fulminators standard and the rest have them in the board. Fulminator in a deck full of Larks and manequins really sucks when you have no countermagic, so it seemed safer to go with this mana base and eliminate that weakness. In playtesting its actually pretty reliable.
So, I would really like to hear what others think of this build (minus the mana base. Feel free to keep it as is if you agree with me, but if you want to switch it up its fine. The deck is still pretty much the same with this mana base or with one composed of filters/pains/pools etc.)
Thaywoody: Well if you want to NOT play with Wrath of God and Volcanic fallout to protect your walkers, then you can use Birds. Otherwise you are often killing off your mana sources. Also Fertile Ground has nice synergy with Garruk.

that's one answer that replied your answer..
and the other one is that...we normally dont run manabase that support turn 1 BOP..pretty hard to see with a naya manabase as it is...
not to mention 5cc is even harder

seems pretty bad just to face those two cards...

Fae and 5c are all I'm really worried about, but I'm not even sure if 5cc is a bad MU because no one here plays it.

my deck has worked much better without rings. if you want to play rings, thats perfectly fine, but it by no means has a shoe-in spot in the deck.
that's exactly what he said
but why in other playtest agaisnt shin he target his champ?

The deck is still pretty much the same with this mana base or with one composed of filters/pains/pools etc.)
i was in an essential standstill vs. a bant control deck and my topdecked mindspring resolved to draw me 10 cards. it was so awesome
I have always ran with Birds of Paradise for a faster start.
that's one answer that replied your answer..
and the other one is that...we normally dont run manabase that support turn 1 BOP..pretty hard to see with a naya manabase as it is...
not to mention 5cc is even harder
