So in standard there is no non basic hate, (ok so fulminator is awful stone rain is a better LD spell and fulminator is a poor excuse at 3 mana) So what hate do you think they will reprint?
Blood moon - strong but once removed causes no father effect on the game state, costs 3 mana so vulnerable to negate and broken amitions
Back to basics - Lets them cast one spell, then they basicaly lose all they lands they used that arent basics
Wasteland - Strongly favors aggro paired with fulminator this could cause a huge spike in aggro decks
Price of progress - Seriously "Cloudthresher, in responce 12 you, you at 2, thresher resolves gg" That will teach those toast players a thing or two
Magus of the moon - a more fair blood moon but still amazing.
EDIT: for referance I think the strongest is price of progress and the fairest would be back to basics.
The best, as in, what would absolutely destroy decks running lots of non-basic hate would be Price of Progress. Anyone who disagrees hasn't run against it with more than a few non-basics out.
*Almost* 20? There seem to be many decks playing 100% nonbasics. What's the point of basics anymore? Seems like there should be a downside to having perfect mana every game.

having 'perfect' mana is very far from true for QnT, which is what i assume youre refering to. it cant play anything on turn 1 most the time, and even turn 2 rarely sees any action. that delay in play allows for quick decks to jump out to an early lead for which toast must find an answer by turn 4 or scoop.
im sorry, but all this bickering just disgusts me. play with these non-basic lands, play with a deck that can beat predominately non-basic decks, or play a different format. when you moan about how some set of cards has an advantage and refuse to use this advantage or find a way to combat said advantage yourself you become a scrub.[/rant]
the problem with all of the cards listed other than back to basics and wasteland is that they're all red, and mono red is already a really strong deck.
back to basics isn't that great of a choice because even if its reprinted, it probably won't see play, because mono-blue, even with back to basics, isn't viable.
wasteland is probably the best choice because it can be played in all aggro decks and a lot of the midrange decks.
i would really love to see wasteland reprinted, because it'd open a lot of different possibilities, and i don't think it'd be too strong of a card.
the only problem is that it'd be played in a LOT of decks, and if it was rare, its price would probably be up there with reflecting pool.

What bickering? I assume you are referring to everyone talking about the "Toast style mana base" as in everyone uses Reflecting Pool?
My "bicker" is Kitchen Finks, it may be the best card in t2 right now imo and how decks can play it upwards of 8 times in a single game its INSANE!!!
Why people are having a "hard time" with the format is every deck is 3+ color which ill admit.. is kinda lame but it presents some interesting games thats for sure. Once people get the mana base down, they can then grab their favorite set of charms and put a decent competitive t2 deck together.
Remember t2 right is now defined as of yet and how it will look for the next year. The only thing i can say we will see is 3+ color decks EVERYWHERE. Hence why i believe Wasteland would be good not Overpowered in the format right now. The down side to Wasteland if it comes in 11th... Pool would be gone..

Price of Progress won't do anything, as RDW is getting pushed out of the format by lifegain. Back to Basics will just slow the format down a turn or two via "pop my panorama/terramorphic for whatever basic land I need." Ruination is too powerful for type 2. I think reprinting Wasteland and Crucible in 11th may do it. Spend your land drop for a turn disrupting the opponent seems to be a fair price for land dominance.

Life gain is harsh, but Price of Progress would still be pretty damn savage. 2 mana for what in most games will be 8-10 damage atleast would give me the confidence to not worry about life gain too much, particularly when combined with cards like Stigma Lasher.
That said, I don't think they'll reprint PoP. Here's hoping though

You're not your deck.
You're not how much mana you have in your pool.
You're not your half-naked, animè girl card sleeves.
You're not your DCI rating.
You're not your freaking ‘Coldsnap Prerelease’ t-shirt.
You are the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the Multiverse.

What format are you playing?
Anyway, the most powerful form of hate is obviously Price of Progress, though I think the most reasonable would be Back to Basics. That one is pretty powerful without being overly so.

Not sure if trolling or just very stupid.:fry:
But when 11th rotaes in and Wasteland would rotate in... Crucible of Worlds would be out..

And Wasteland.
... can 5C-everything die now?
granted, i wouldnt mind if they brought wasteland back. solid card.
5C Green was tier 1 for a while back in the day.
I second the vote for Ruination there should be repercussions for playing almost 20 non-basic lands in a deck.
Would learn my licks with a bottle neck slide
Thats why i voted for Wasteland it makes the most sense in todays meta and it should have been a core set staple anyways..

What deck would actually play those?
5-color wouldn't remotely work on even the onslaught fetches, not without dual targets.
