Hmm... no need for the splash. really.
- 2 forest -4 firelit thicket
+ 4 ghitu encampment + 2 mutavaults
youe shouldnbt be playing board sweepers. what you need to do is lowe ryour opponents life quickly in the 1st 4 turns so that you can burn them to death.
- 4 pyroclasm - 4 firespout
YOu probably need just a few more quick hitting creatures too
try + 4 spark elemental
If you are going burn heavy maybe browbeat would be good. so + 4 browbeat
Spiteful visions seems rather unnecessary you are better of running 4 boggart ram gangs. they hit hard and fast.
But of course you can keep the sweepers, (sulf blkast puro etc) in SB agianst aggro

I've tried all of those things, and they didn't seem to work. I am in a Aggro heavy meta.... No Lark or slow combo controls... It's all RG Aggro, UB Fae, UW Merfolk, MG Treefolk, BG Elves, and MG Elves.... So those board sweepers have saved my ass many many times. Firespout is for Fae especially... When they're pumped a single Pyroclasm can't take them out. They stay MD.
Boggart-Ram Gang I've tried and liked it, but other spells took its place. Spiteful Visions is an amazing card... It's like putting a timer to the game, and I usually win it.... Spark Elemental is useless past turn 2... I've never liked it.
Browbeat is unnecessary with Spiteful Visions, every time I'll just draw for three and take 3.... But it was okay when I tried it out, I just bumped it out for post-Alara....
Karplusan Forests are actually a good idea, I stayed away from them at first because of the damage to me... But I'll give 'em a try.
And, for my last point... Why 6 manlands? That is unnecessary and screws up my manabase.... And I'm not buying Mutavaults... I'll switch out 3 mountains for Ghitu Encampments... 4 Is too much.
What about tattermunge maniac? He hits pretty good for one mana! He will die about turn 3 or so, but he does pretty well in my testings. Also, I really love Browbeat. I think it is one of the best red cards ever made.
3 mana they choose to either take 5 or let you draw and possibly (probably) take more? C'mon...that is sweet. But I also like Spiteful Visions as well as I have also had good success with the "timer." I wouldnt run them both. Maybe you could board one or the other for different situations.
I would actually change out the Marauders for Countryside Crusher - he is so sweet in red right now. He gets around a horrible problem red has mid game - drawing land on an empty hand. He beefs up quick when he gets rolling. (Also, you will want to up the Shard Volleys if you switch him in)
Red Wizard, you finally get me! I would love to put Browbeat in SB (He was my favorite card for draw pre-Shadowmoor), but it's all filled up for other decks... Which, sadly, is needed in MR.
EDIT: Hmm... Seems worth testing, I just don't like it's manacost because it can take up my whole 3rd turn...
EDIT #2: Countryside Crusher is not needed, because I can take care of extra mana, via Shard Volley, and later on, Flame Jab. Maybe when Keldon Cycles out, Countryside Crusher will find a place in there...
And, one more thing... I prefer my damage to get through... And I like creatures who don't care about dying, like Mogg Fanatic and Keldon Mauraders.

Hey man, I just came out of a 5yr retirement (played since Arabian Nights before that) - I am old school! Browbeat is so awesome.
Just a few considerations:
I see where you are going with the Crusher, but the problem is "wasting" a draw on a land card whether you can use it on Jab or Volley or not. Usually, red poops its hand out in no time with all the burn. Crusher helps eliminate that altogether by making sure you draw into a useful spell - and getting HUGE to do it! Try him out some, I am telling you he is a BEAST.
I would drop the Dragon Claws and run Guttural Response in the board. Great for blue (ahem, faeries, merfolk etc.)
Also the Faerie Macabre, if you are worried about graveyard tricks, I would just run Tormod's Crypt and nuke the whole thing.
I have had some success with (believe it or not) Spitebellow in the board as well. Evoking 6 dmg on a fat creature for one red is AWESOME!
Magus is a must against Vaults! Torments are awesome.
All in all, if you want the Browbeats in the board, drop either the claws or the macabres. I think that is about all you got for slots.
I love the deck man. I usually play a little more creature heavy in my sly decks. Creatures are reliable sources of damage, and the burn clears their path. But I may have to try this one myself! Good luck and hope this helps!

Well welcome back to magic! I've been playing for two years now... Ever since Ravnicca Came out.
Guttural Response hasn't worked for me in the past... It's just been too hard to pull off at the proper time... So, I'll edit up my SB a bit...
If you're running green, play Tarmogoyf... you have plenty of each type except for Planeswalker. Land can be Mutavault. Shock can be Tarfire (for Tribal). Only thing not worth reaching into is planeswalkers. And I'm not sure why you haven't put Sulfurous Blast in the deck yet. It's a million times better than Pyroclasm and Firespout because you can cast it as an instant which wrecks faeries and it deals damage to your opponent. I honestly think you could get away with mono red if you want more of a budget deck. But either way, FIND THOSE BLASTS!

How much does Countryside Crusher go for? Just wondering.. If It's expensive, I'll bring more money to the prerelease.
I have two for $6 each. LMK if you're interested. I also have 2 Sulfurous Blasts for $1 a piece. Oh wow! You're in Buffalo? This is Joe Jaczewski. Have we met?
I got a full set of blasts... Switch them with Firespout maybe? And Tarmogoyf's are a little bit too expensive for me now, trying to save money for Gencon... And 'Goyf's are way to friggin expensive...
I'm not Chris... I'm Zachary Campbell... If you go to The Jesters Cap Games, then we've probably met.
i think this version should be a bit better, maniac is assured to be 2-6 damage if played on turn one, and I added more actual burn to the deck. I am not sure if the flame jabs are worth it, and if ther are not, they can easily be cut for tarfires. The sideboard is built mostly to handle Finks, with Crushers added in case you expect your opponent sideboarded out most of their removal and the tactics are for discard.

Thanks! Glad to be back!
I really like this listing for the deck. It is sweet. Pyroclasms AND Firespouts?! LOL Five mana for a small version of "inferno" heh heh heh. Once the Countryside gets big enough (3 lands later) it will just clear the board for him. I love it!
I did misinform you though, I dont know what I was thinking when I listed the Spitebellow as one red evoke, it is 1RR, my bad man. It still works nice though, slamming droves of elves and the like before they get too big is nice.
I am trying to think if there is anything that you would need instead though. Magus of the Moon shuts down complex mana systems and Mutavaults; so he may be better to put in, rather than the Spitebellows.

That version would die too fast. Where are your board sweepers? Why 4 Shard Volleys with 20 lands? It just doesn't work... Replace Flame Jab with Countryside Crusher, Magus of the Moon over puncture bolt... Lash Out is conditional... Although, Puncture Blast is nice.... I might try that out.

That cover's all the angles I think - well at least as best as red can do it. Is there anything we are missing that you may face?
That is good, but it makes RG Aggro a 60/40 chance... it could go either way if I dont get the right cards... I'll post another deck list tonight people...
I think that the Stigma Lasher needs to find a home in almost every list, a single dragons claw can really blunt the effectiveness of this deck and give the opponent the time he/she needs to bring out some threats or more solid life gain. I'd reccommend putting them in the SB not the main though, their application is too limited.

Saemar is not a wizard, is not fighting on a battlefield and is not casting spells.

Yeah, they'll probably replace Everlasting Torment, we got enough wither cards to supply us.
Well, if the Cinders are going to die anyway, change them into something else. FURNACE OF WRATH!!!! No just kidding, that thing is dangerous! lol
Hmmm...
I want to say put in Shard Volley because they work so well with the Crushers, but you only have 20 lands. However, you do have the Visions in there, so you could conceivably draw into some land. Your average mana cost (without Cinders) is 2.3/single color, which means you can run off 3 lands. Running the Visions, you should see one land every other turn aside from the random land-clump and Crusher claiming some. Hmmm, that might be too close for the volleys...
But with no cards in hand your chance of hitting a card you cant cast is about 20% which isnt bad really (about 18% when Visions is in play). I say try them both out and see which one works better, but I think the Volley's are going to be more reliable and efficient.

Basic deck.... Simple plan, burn, play Spiteful Visions, and make it a race.
I'm thinking of Replacing Shard Volley with Flame Jab... Gunna test it when I get 'em.
Otherwise, not bad.
