Went 4-1-4 at Fort Worth, Texas Regionals with Quicken Toast.
All four draws were do to running out of time by just a few minutes. Each time in the third game time was called and I was always 1 to 2 turns away from winning.
I could have turned those draws into wins had a practiced with the deck more, and had all of my sideboarding memorized.
Placed 60th out of 225+ players.
Round 1 was against U/B Faeries and won.
2 was against the tarmogoy, Collosus, G/B elves deck and won.
3 was against Doran and drew due to time needed another five minutes and I could have killed him.
4 was a U/B counter control deck and drew to time, there was no way this match was going to finish in 50 minutes.
5 was U/W Rev and lost.
6 was mono U wizard control and won.
7 was U/B/W rev/elemental control and won.
8 was U/B faeries and drew when I was one turn away from winning.
9 was G/R good stuff and drew again when I was one turn away from winning!
Even though I went 4-1-4 I still enjoyed regionals because I learned a lot about my deck. I could have won two of those draws had I sideboarded differently. Oh well.
I went 5-3 with Dstorm.
Round 1 RG ramp-loss, Round 2 RDW- win vs Travis Spero, Round 3 some persist deck- loss, Round 4 Faeries- win, round 5 RG aggro- loss, round 6 BG rock- win, round 7 Doran Rock- win, round 8- BGW aggro- win.
Overall I'm pleased with the performance. I found that in the 7 games that I did combo off, 4 of them I had 1-2 dragons in hand and they scooped without ever seeing all 4 hellkites. gg noobz. lolz.
5-3 with fae, player count 190, beating gb elves twice, merfolk, wish control, and the mirror, losing to quick and toast, rdw, and rg shamans, didnt face any lark even when the top tables were full of it...
Round 1: Lost 2-1 to UWG Lark. Game 3 he gets out a Teferi's Moat, but I nearly kill him by using Sower of Temptation to steal another flier and using Reejery to tap down his fliers, but he rips a Wrath off the top at 3 life to win. :/
Round 2: Won 2-1 in the mirror match.
Round 3: Won 2-0 against a UW Lark deck. Game 1 I get the nuts draw, game 2 I put out a couple threats, then countered his Coalition Relics to keep him from double white mana for Wrath.
Round 4: Lost 2-1 to a Budget GB elves deck. Game 3 he rips a Terror off the top on his last turn. >.<
Round 5: Won 2-0 against Quick N' Toast. The match was over so fast (due to me getting INCREDIBLE draws), the guy wouldn't even shake my hand afterwards.
Round 6: Won 2-0 against a BG deck. Game 2 was lucky, as I should've lost, but I tapped him down 2 straight turns with Cryptic Commands, and swung for enough damage to let his Bitterblossom kill him.
Round 7: Won 2-1 against UW Lark. Game 3 was interesting, because I had a Lord of Atlantis and 3 Stonybrook Banneret aganst his 2 Deserts. The crucial play was when I used Sage's Dousing on his Ancestral Vision, forcing him to choose between tapping out for the draws, allowing me a free turn of attacking, or keeping Deserts open. He chose to tap out, and a timely Cryptic Command on his Wrath won me the match.
Round 8: Lost 2-1 to UWr Lark. 6-2 would've gotten half a box, but I missed it by him comboing out in game 3. Oh well, there's always next year.
Overall, I had fun, and bought plenty of cards for PTQ season. I'll definitely be going next year.

Lurking since Guildpact. Procrastinating for...
Current Decks
Then in the top 8 I made a crucial play mistake against Project 420, costing me the game and the invite. Oh well, I got a box, and I probably wouldn't have gone to chicago anyways...
One of my losses came off my brother, which I'm not going to complain about since I was using his deck anyways, but the one that cut me out of T8 was a match-up in which I mulled to 3 game 1 and then to 5 game 2. The match was surprisingly still pretty close, and no offense to the guy because he was really cool and nice, but I really shouldn't have been in either or those games.
Regionals is always my bane. For whatever reason, I can never seem to make T8 in this tournament.
If it wouldn't be too much trouble, would you guys mind posting your deck lists? It seems like there are 4-5 decks being used and I am curious what kind of variations people are cooking up.
Went 4-4 at Hartford Regionals running Red Deck Wins. Beat some random changeling aggro first round (2-0), lost to fae rounds 2 and 3 (both 1-2 winning G1), beat fae round 4 (2-1, losing G1), lost to BG elves round 5 (0-2), beat some crazy BW lifegain deck round 6 running finks, riftwatchers, meadowgrains, warhammer, bitterblossom (2-0), beat Firestorm round 7 (2-0), lost to fae again round 8.
Had some strange matchups and games, beating a deck built to beat RDW hands down and doing worse than expected vs. fae. Drawing 5-6 lands in a row screwed me up in rounds 2 and 3, but overall no big complaints. Was a great day, though I think I should have been able to pull 5-3 with those matchups.
P.S. Post-Regionals Taco Bell was amazing.

Thanks to SB4 of High-Light Studios for the sig!
Dalranth was the damnation really topdecked? When I was watching him counter your imperious perfect he was holding two damnations in his hand. I thought you said that you only lent him two?
GL at grinders anyways
I dunno..I saw him rip a card and slam Damnation on the table..i did only lend him 2 so he must have had it, but it looked like he ripped it to me =/
I posted a 6-3 at Chicago regionals with Fish. Good for 39th place. My friend got 32nd with the same record.
I beat: G/B Elves, 2x 3 color Lark, 1x Q'n'T, 1x Faeries, 1x G/R Ramp
I was 4-0, then went 0-3, then 2-0.
Lost to: B/R Tokens 1-2 (Had 2 Shadow Guildmage in play by turn 2 in game 2. I can't hit my 4th land in game 3, end the game with 3 lands and 3 Cryptic Commands in my grip. This opponent made t8.), Faeries 1-2 (Played 2 good, long games. 1-1. Then, I had to mull to 5 in game 3 and lost.), Sullivan Red 0-2 (Piloted by Adrian Sullivan, played Magus of the Moon when all I had was 3 non-basics. I proceed to draw 4 Islands in a row. I had no spells. Game 2, I was stuck on Island + Mutavault as my only lands for 4 turns. He had a Jaya in play. I had Sunlance and Forge-tender in hand. No Hub or Adarkar.)
tl;dr
When I had lands and spells, I won. When I didn't, I lost.

Congrats. I definitly thought that was a tough tournament, especially with all the people there.
I personaly went 5-4 with faeries, losing to mirror (game loss for forgetting to de-sb hurts), merfolk, and R/G mana ramp (mana screw for the win against those two). I then conceded to a friend round 9 letting him try his luck at prizes since his tiebreaks didn't all drop.

I also went to the chicago regionals playing lark. i ended up going 5-4 also. it really pissed me off. was 5-1 going into round 7. then my deck just gave up. i mean really gave up. I played quicken toast. it should be a cake walk but ended up getting sweeped. not due to any error on my part. just my deck not drawing well and getting mana screwed. next round lost to a bad fearies player. game one my deck drew all 5 casting cost stuff and gave me 2 land. game 2 was a little better. had a good opening hand but drew nothing afterwords. I sbed 15 cards in. by turn 12 i didn't even see one. even tho i went threw 1/4 my deck. just bad lucj i guess. then lost to elves in 3. game 3 my deck said give up now. didn't play one spell that game. over all my deck was great went 2-0 all the matches (never below 9 life) when it showed up. when it didn't i got totaly blown out. with in 20mins. oh well. i guess i'll have to try next year to get an invite.
Also trainswalker, ferrando didn't win, he lost to elves.
Uh, are you sure? There were only two Elves decks in the top 8 and one was piloted by Chris Knecht, the dealer from Kings Games who lost to Martin (winner) and Wade Wojcak, an acquaintaince of mine...who lost to B/R Tokens...and that was ferrando i thought?
The player was really good for one thing. So it wasn't on luck. Game 1 the game was pretty drawn out, and he finally ended up stabilizing. Game 2 I had to fight through triple thoughtseize and quadruple cryptic command, but I finally resolved crovax, giving me the win. Game 3, I managed to combo off on turn 1 in turns, bouncing everything with a gargadon, lark, and venser in play.
I forgot to mention this: Chicago top 8 consisted of 4 elves, 2 merfolk, 1 faeries(piloted by Sam Black OBV), and 1 R/B tokens. My friend playing elves made top 8 and lost the mirror because he couldn't draw black mana. Too unfortunate. Did anyone else feel that regionals was flooded with elves and merfolk?
My friend Samy Younis qualified for nats (Indiana Regionals) with a copy of the Faerie deck from the Pro-Tour. He went 6-1-1 in the swiss.
Depressing story actually. He went 6-0 into round 7 ready to draw himself into the top 8. He was actually paired down, unfortunately. His opponent was a 16 pointer that drew in time in round 1. They played it out and Sam got crushed. He then took a gamble on round 8 and drew. Luckily, a guy in round 8 won himself into 9th place, exactly what Sam needed to get the 8th slot.
He then played his one match (Indiana Regionals had four invites, so they only did one game in the top 8 as whoever won the first game was Qualifying) and crushed his opponent 2-0.
Overall games: 14-3
It's going to be fun going to nats and trying to grind in, if not, I'll be cheering my bud on.
Indiana top 8 consisted of:
2 Faeries
2 Rev
1 R/B Aggro Goblins
1 G/W Mana and Big things
2 Other decks (didn't see them) I think they were both G/B
You got luck sacked by lark and Q & T. I would figure that lark would have a good MU against you and i know Q&T does... something about 4 sweepers, and moats post board etc.
while lark does have a good matchup vs. Elves, I was able to beat a QNT player with gindy's list.
Strange.... no merfolk? i thought they were gaining popularity.. lol
a merfolk top 4'd OV regionals.
but thats not the crazy thing...
WW kithkin, like the good version in block with spectral prosessions and windbrisk heights and everything took a T4 slot...it was crazy...also, two mana ramp decks t8'd and one beat my buddy playing Mono Black control in the Top eight, and the other lost to reveillark (obv)
most memorable play...my buddy playing QNT, had this secret tech vs. reveillark and faeries. 1 teferi + 2 Mystical Teachings in SB. So he was playing a Reveillark PLayer and it was late in the round and game 3. The guy goes:
Guy; Play Reveillark?
Ian (my friend): Response, Teferi?
Guy: ok.
Ian: Cryptic Command, targeting Reveillark.
Guy: ok
the guy continues to set up cards on the table...
Ian: What are you doing?
Guy: Setting up sacrifices for Reveillark.
Ian: ok!
the dude continues to sac a venser, a mutavault, 4 other lands and a coldsteel heart to a gargadon with 7 counters on it( at the same time, he doesn't stack the seperately)
Guy: Gargadon Resolve?
Ian: No, teferi's in play, its RFG. ( judge behind him agrees, were almost in turns now).
the guy looks like some one just punched him in the face...
Strange.... no merfolk? i thought they were gaining popularity.. lol
The top 4 at Connecticut was Elves, Merfolk, Project 420.5d and Faeries. Three of those players I know (Mike Lapine with the fish, Mike Bauer with Project 420.5d, and Max Tietze with Elves), and out of those three, two are regulars at my local store.

4-4 at Dallas Regionals. My first big tournament ever, so I think I did fairly good.
Used G/B elves with warhammers in the sb for the mirror. Funny thing though, I never played the mirror and my "smart mirror" answer was never used like I thought it would be.
Beat 2 RDW
Beat 1 Lark (Game 1 garruk powered me through. Game 2 I primal commanded his teferis moat and swung for the win. I got insanely lucky.)
Beat 1 Faeries
Lost 1 Merflock
Lost 1 g/w ramp control (finks, colossus, rings, oversoul). My first loss came from a huge misplay in which I thought I had a G source, but only had a swamp and a muta opening. Perfect hand, just was too excited to have a thoughtseize, a vanquisher, wayfinder, perfect, and colossus to notice I didn't have a G source, hah. Misplay of the year. Didn't draw into any G source for 4 turns. Scooped. Won second. Lost third to akroma resolving with no kill spells)
Lost 2 Lark
Was 3-0 at one point...then I ran in to Faeries twice in a row. Pretty happy with that though, my first Regional, and I got to **** up some other players hopes of making top 8 with Kithkins. =)
