ok with all the new techy decks out there, i definitely think a control deck is in great need, something that can hold its own against any deck out there. here is what i propose
SB:
-4 Shriekmaw (what would you side these in against?)
+4 Extirpate (their uses are numerous... plus kills most combo dead)
+3 Bottle Gnomes (RDW turns into RDL)
Oh, and -2 snow-swamp, +2 urborg. I would probably drop distress for bitterblossom, but distress is probably a fine budget option.
What MU do you guys have with Project R. I find that deck somewhat hard to beat. I am not sure how to. Thoughtseize and Extirpate seem like all I can do. But it looks like if I don't get bitterblossom out, I die.
Sudden Spoiling game 2 makes another out, but then you have the general problems with spoiling (needing multiple faeries to block or another card to kill), which you don't always get time for.
U/B faeries is tough, but not our "worst nightmare." Fish is another tough MU, but far from "worst nightmare."
Project R dies to our sudden spells (death, spoiling, extirpate).
What is absolutly hilarious is that there isn't one deck in the Teir 1 lists that are bad matchups for MBC. The problem this deck has right now is with Tier 2 G/w decks that pack Shields and Teegs. And I really haven't found a definitive answer to those decks yet so for me I guess I have to agree that my worst nightmare would be to sit across from a U/b/g/w Faerie player who somehow was able to work Finks/Shields/Cavaliers into thier deck and was able to balance the mana base.... although that is a complete pipe dream and not something that you would ever see. But then again the question seemed hypothetical and such is my answer.
My big news over this weekend is that my FNM was an unsanctioned Extended Event this Friday and I went there with absolutely no idea that it was going to be that format at all... so I pulled out my Dark Confidants, Sensei's Tops, Cabal Coffers and a misers Iname, Death Aspect to combo with my Demigods and after a 20 minute conversion and a big headache I played the deck to a 5-0 finish!:o
I played this deck on Friday, and I am getting quite discouraged. I have played it in 3 FNMs now.
The first one was not sanctioned and had only 14 or so players, and I won first place, but drew pretty poorly.
The second one I was 2-1 (because of a horrible come from behind 2-1 win against Faeries where I got manascrewed). Then I lost to Doran because he drew slightly better than I (can't really complain since I didn't draw poorly). The decks in the Top 4 were very beatable by me (Swans, RG aggro). In fact, the only top 4 deck that beats mine was Dragonstorm piloted by my friend.
Then this week, I had 2 bad matchups again, losing to Faeries when I drew slightly poor, then conceding game 2 because we both made the mistake of burying Korlash that was Sower of Temptation-ed when Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth was in play. Round 4, I play a guy who is very cocky (rightfully so since he usually wins first when he plays) playing the 3-5 color UG mannequin deck, but he had no counters. He barely beats me with Cloudthresher game 1. He gets screwed game 2 and I Extirpate his Cloudthresher in response to Mannequin. Then game 3, I draw 1 swamp, all three mutavaults, and a Mindstone. I have 2 Tendrils of Corruption in hand. Once again, I finish 2-2 when the finals deck were all decks I could have beaten easily (RG aggro type).
I probably will only try this deck once more, since there is no point in playing a mono color deck with 25 land that I cannot draw decently with.
Two 2-2 finishes have left a sour taste in my mouth.

Please let me see you list. It sounds like you may have a suboptimal list. The reason I say so is because you never once mentioned Dusk Urchins or Demigod. And your running Mind Stones and Mutavault (I may get flamed for this) but in this meta and for this deck Desert is alot better because it slows down Faeries just long enough for us to setup for the win.

Found myself agreeing with most of this post about Cavern of souls and countermagic.

Desert is also quite awesome against Faeries too. I think mind stone makes to much colorless this deck can handle. Though BTQ won't be hard to activate. I always want to play that Demigod of revenge earlier. COldsteel heart seems like a more helpful choice.
Sideboard 4 Fate Transfer (I find this great against wither) 4 Scuttlemutt (Pro-black creatures be dammned, terror universals, certain auros lose their target) 4 Fairy Macabre (I don't have the extirpates) 3 ...
I know this deck needs work, and I'd appreciate the help. I need to get my hands on Sudden Spoiling, more Sudden Deaths, and Bitterblossom if possible.
Any ideas?
I also never know what cards to side out for what?

As for the discard versions, 4x MD extirpate is a must IMO, get rid of a troublesome cards for good.

Maybe...
-2 Ghastlord
-2 Banshee
-2 Consume Spirit
-2 Liliana Vess
+4 Demigod of Revenge (these are seriously very good against any deck)
+2-4 Sudden Death/Terror (you have no creature kill under 4 mana)
+0-2 Beseech the Queen (this is superior to Liliana Vess)

Probably some sort of G/W Persist, whether aggro or big mana (although the aggro version is probably more dangerous, as it is faster typically).
Persist negates most of our removal, and G/W has access to a LOT of protection from black. I'm glad that no creature combines the two.
Gaddock Teeg + Shield of the Oversoul creatures problems for this deck. Our only out at that point is Sudden Death, but Wilt-leaf Liege ends that plan.
