Either way, I'm still testing MBC (or variants, with small splashes of G, R, or U) really heavily, since it really does pack a BIG punch if it gets a chance.
Yeah, it is pretty decent/powerful in the meta right now. It's worst MU is Fae. And possibly lark if you have that in your meta. It beats MRB and Elves.

Actually, I'd say that the worst MU is any counter or LD deck. Fae hates spoiling, death, and deserts.
Fae can be considered a counter deck. They usually have 12 counters. LD does hurt, as against any midrange deck. The best thing MBC has against fae is bitterblossom, but that's a given and they have it too.
Played regionals today using the same deck I came first in at a FNM last week. Did very poorly this time.
First round - UG Pickles
Won first round by stalling with faeries tendrilsing his cloudthresher and winning with Demi God
Second round made a STUPID mistake, sudden deathing a birds with a hammer instead of his morph (durrr brine elemental) thinking by doing so I could swing in for the win. I did the math wrong and he lived to lock me down and kill me.
Third round we both did well, he got up to 7 mana pretty quick. I tried to kill his birds at EOT but he Rune Snagged. I tried again during my turn with a second terror and a damnation and they all got countered. Lock down for the lose.
0 - 1
Second Round - BGu
Won first round dispite a slow start. He ran cloudthresher as well but was easily able to terror those away. Last two turns, he profaned me for 8 leave me on 3, I profaned him for 10, killing him 8)
Second round never saw any real threats to play against him. He ended up getting a thresher out and smashing my face and I will still waiting to draw an answer.
Third round, mulliganed to THREE, with the only land I saw being in my first hame. After the three I just kept, managed to draw into 2 land, my lowest drop being 3 mana which got thought siezed -_-;
0 - 2
Third Round - RDW
Got taken out with burn first game, despite stalling with faeries. To be expected though, I usualy lose first round to RDW, then come back.
Second Game had sided in 2 bottle gnomes. I did have 3 in my sideboard originaly but had changed it that morning which was one of my biggest mistakes of the day. I did see the gnomes in the second game though, and was stalling with faeries well, until I hit a 6 land flood, and dispite the gnomes and some tendrils eventualy faerie was burned and he swung in with goyf and ramgang *sigh*
0 - 3
Fourth Round - BU Faeries
Ugh. Now faeries. We didnt realy care about winning at this point. I dropped blossom, so did he. He then dropped 2 more blossoms O_o and I BTQed for a hammer. Managed to stay on top of his faeries for a little while as he took 3 damage a turn from blossoms, when he was on 3 he flashed in the champion faerie taking a blossom which left him on one, which I had hoped would kill him. Only hope was a damnation which I never drew.
Second game was fairly uneventful until I played demigod. He damnationed. I played my next demi god and smashed his face.
Third round was much like the first except I never saw my own blossom. I was unable to keep up with the side of faeries. Never saw tendrils, lifegain BTQ, nothin.
0 - 4
Fifth round - BG Elves
I realy had lost all hope by this point. Dispite never losing to elves I wasn't hopeful. My starting hand was ok, but that got thoughtseiezed to an average hand, he played a goyf which I terrored. I played an urchin and basicaly stalled with it while I waited for a reply. After getting pounded down to 7 in a hurry by about 4 elves, urchin finaly popped and drew my fouth land (yay), damnation ( Thank you jesus! ), and Korlash (HALLELUJAH! FIRST TIME ALL ******** DAY!!) . Draw step drew a second korlash, but damnation was a must. Everything died. I think he played a wrens or something else pretty weak. Dropped korlash and hammer over the next 2 turns for the win.
Second game was much the same as the first except without the slow start. I believe it was a tag team of Korlash and Demigod that won the second.
1 - 4
I did change my sideboard at the start of the day, mainly to fit in sudden spoiling. And while I do not dispute sudden spoiling being good, I missed the epochrasites and bottle gnomes I took out. I also made a small elf sacrifice so hopefully korlash will show up a bit more next tourny.
Second game was much the same
Well, regionals for me is now officially over. I went 3-2-2 overall.
1st Round: Played against some rogue UW control deck, this guy was only playing for fun so I promptly kicked his butt. 1-0-0
2nd Round: Faeries (sigh), I managed to win easily which surprised me 2-0-0
3rd Round: RG Ramp, first game was won via demigod, not 1, not 2 but 3! I could not believe it! Second game I died to chameleon colloseus and cloud thresher, I sided in Sudden Spoiling and Thoughtseize but alas I died to them in the Third game as well! I was not happy. 2-0-1
4th Round: Rogue Mono Black Land Destruction (wtf?), this guy has a very annoying deck (small pox, rain of tears, fulminator mage, tomb stalker) but I managed to dispatch him via Bitterblossom + Warhammer. 3-0-1
5th Round: Faeries, EXACT same build as the 2nd round (boring!) the first game went on and on and on and on.....he eventually won though, Second game I just managed to win in the last 5 turns due to time being up thanks to Sudden Spoiling. A Draw beats a loss. 3-1-1
6th Round: UB Mannequin, first game was close and I underestimated what he was playing with as the game went on and on and on due to constant creature removal and then I ran out of steam with him on 1 life! Second game I won easily though but there was no more time for a 3rd game, another draw (sigh) 3-2-1
7th Round: Faeries (AGAIN!), more or less the same ole Faeries which was starting to really annoy me as I was so sick of faeries by this point. He had too many combat tricks for me to deal with and easily beat me both games. 3-2-2.
Overall I won more than I lost which was ok, I had to explain the Demigod / Counter thing a few times but by the end I was pretty much bored facing the same decks over and over.
but by the end I was pretty much bored facing the same decks over and over.
I hear ya, but thats what meta is shaping up to be... Im not very happy bout it as well, but it is what it is... Friday there were 29 ppl, like 7-8 fae players with same exact lists (the starcity 1st place list... how original...)
So when yall go to an event just realize that you might play the SAME deck almost all 8-9 rounds...
can someone explain the demi god counter to me what do i say when they say " you cant return the other demi gods cause i countered it"
and whats the standard MBCkorlash deck list now ?
What I usually say is this:
"I played Demigod, and its ability from triggering goes on the stack immediately. Then you countered the Demigod. The Demigod goes to the graveyard, the trigger resolves, and Demigod is brought back." I usually emphasize this by using my hands to represent the Demigod and trigger on the stack.
I would, except for a few points:
1. For some reason now, nobody plays Faeries in my meta despite it being infested 4 months ago. Everyone just techs against them but nobody actually plays them...
2. Kithkin is surprisingly an annoying and common deck here since we get a lot of new people every week and they always bring some sort of weenie decks. Gaddock Teeg = Lose, and Sulfurous Blast can't kill it, so I have to make sure my deck has maindeck answers to it.
3. I'm already running it in my board along with Shadow Guildmage.
Gaddock Teeq can be a pain and shuts down our deck thats why i always have sudden death in my main
today someone played Gaddock i sudden deathed him and went back to bussiness
Yeah, whether or not Thoughtseize is the correct answer to RDW is a good question.
Sometimes just hoping to land an early Bitterblossom and riding it out to victory can be good (especially with a Manabarbs out).
Tendrils of Corruption can also be pretty good (just be sure to respond to the barbs trigger with your tendrils, otherwise they may be able to burn you out).
Against Everlasting Torment, just play like normal. You can't gain life, but like others have said, its not burn (and non-Corrupt/[caard=loxodon warhammer]hammer[/card] lifegain is instant speed (as long as gnomes is already in play) so you can respond to them playing the enchantment(s).
Because Tendrils is so good in this MU (and pretty good in most), I run 4 in my MD. I suggest the same for the rest of you - its probably the best black card out of Time Spiral.
I think I would swap the Rats for Augur unless you got a lot of RDW in your area, cause then Augur won't probably live to see the light to be sacrificed. But rats is also better if you want a chump blocker turn 2.
Other than that, with discard, we got a much better early game-plan, + clear the board turn 4 to clear anything that slipped through the "barrier". after that, play creatures and play more or less like a regular MBC.
However, the list still needs a little more tweaking, and we should try to fit in bitterblossom because its just good.
have you made a list im also testing a discard deck this is what i got soo far
yeah auger is way better the problem with this deck is that it has no UMMPH it takes a while before you start doing dmg i think im going to forget about it
I was bottom paged, but if you are making a mbc discard, wouldn't augur of skull be a lot better than rats?
It all depends on your meta. If his is infested with RDW, you don't want to play Augur, only to have your opponent ping it with Fanatic before you get to sac it. Anyways, I'd sooner run Funeral Charm, because you don't need the 1/1 body, it gives you another 1st turn play, and it has utility uses.

Yeah, the splash seems like it would be dependent on drawing a tomb.

Also about how many lands/ creatures/ instants tend to be in a successful MBC against things like Merfolk and Faeries?]
Also which typically draws up more cards Graveborn Muse or Dusk Urchins?
Vess used to be a MD card, now she is too slow most of the time.
If you are gonna enter a discussion, please at least look at the starter deck and then what we are currently throwing around.
No offense, its just annoying for some one to post queries and not even look through the thread.
As for balance of cards, its a matter of opinion, go back a few pages and you will find at least a couple different decks.
