You would probably use Spell Queller against BG, zombies and control when snatching their removal or creature will gain you tempo.
You could probably beat Ramp just by acting like an aggro deck that is why there are Rattlechains and Spell Queller. Admittedly, I don't like Rattlechains. In fact, the guy who built this deck replaced the Rattlechains with countermagic in his recent 7-1 performance at the recent MOCS.
Interesting, he cut all spells main other than Refurbish, going all-in on creatures. Older decks would have Strategic Planning to draw/discard, but this deck appears to skip all means of discard other than the Champions.

In the few games I played over the weekend, Strategic Planning was key to get getting GFG on Turn 4. My biggest issue in the local meta is figuring best way to sideboard. Need more practice and thoughts at that. Facing mono blue control, mono black zombies, and Ramunap Red.
21 Creatures
4 Thraben Inspector
4 Minister of Inquiries
3 Sunscourge Champion
4 Champion of Wits
2 Cataclysmic Gearhulk
4 Angel of Invention
15 Spells
4 Strategic Planning
2 Farm//Market
3 Refurbish
3 God-Pharaoh's Gift
3 Gate to the Afterlife
24 Land
3 Island
7 Plains
4 Prairie Stream
3 Port Town
2 Irrigated Farmland
2 Hostile Desert
3 Ipnu Rivulet
Sideboard (work in progress):
4 Authority of the Consuls
2 Fumigate
2 Declaration in Stone
2 Crook of Condemnation
3 Disallow
2 Angel of Sanctions
You could probably replace Crook of Condemnation with Forsake the Worldly and the 3 Disallow with Negate/Dispel. These spells are good against control. You probably need the 3rd Gearhulk if you're fighting zombies, too. You can take out one of the Angel of Sanctions for this.
I have tried this build and it is quicker at putting GPG in play when you don't have Refurbish in hand. Sometimes you cast Strategic Planning and you still don't get GPG so this is a bit more reliable but less explosive than a 4th turn GPG due to Strategic Planning. Has decent defense versus Ramunap Red because of the 1/3 stats on Crane and the ability to ping their 1 toughness creatures with Ballista.
Perpetual Timepiece added to the mix makes filling the grave extremely consistent, more than like Strategic Planning.
Running these allows to play Glint-Nest Crane, to get any of 15 artifacts in the main.
This includes 2 Noxious Gearhulk with no way to cast it, but it has 3 Refurbish and the Gift plan of getting it out. Then the Champion and Gate to discard these cards, Bird to find it, and Perpetual Timepiece and Minister to mill directly into the graveyard. Its value is to be able to kill stuff we otherwise can't clear. Cataclysmic Gearhulk can clear most of the board, but if they have something we hate, like a Kalitas, we need this to get rid of that card.
Also 2 Ballistas, which are great lategame, not awful early, and can be Gifted and then pumped.
Only 2 Angels because I can't find 4, but the Gearhulk does a fair impression.
Has anyone worked out a sideboarding guide? I've been playing this deck for a few weeks and I feel like I don't really want to cut anything when I go to sideboard. What's the first cut for you - and do we ever take the combo out?

I will cut back on the combo, especially if against a black Dispossess deck. I generally start by figuring out what cards are great against the enemy deck and then start trimming away cards that aren't so great.
Authority for mono-red, zombies, tokens. Also Aethersphere Harvester. Cut back on combo pieces because you can't afford a hand full of them without any defense.
Against BG I'd bring in Fumigate and Metallic Rebuke.
Against Mardu I'd cut Cataclysmic Gearhulk and bring in Stasis Snare.
Crook is for recursion decks.

Huge success at FNM, went 4-1 against all the best players in our area. My loss was against Mardu, and consisted of an auto-loss mulligan, and the other game was weak sideboarding and bad plays on my part.
The wins were against UB reanimator, UBG reanimator (cool deck, btw), Gifts mirror (I feel my build was much stronger for the mirror), and BW control.
Meanwhile, this thread needs more action! Gifts decks are taking over the world (pending actual GP results):
Chris Lansdell article showcases various brews, including WRB Tree of Perdition with Fling. Set target player's life to 4, and then throw a 4/4 tree at them; UW with Marionette Master//Metalwork Colossus, reanimate Master as a 7/7 (or 4/4 + 3 servos), then use Colossus to sac 3-5 artifacts for lethal; UB cycling with Gate to the Afterlife powered off all the cycled creatures.
Also found builds with Trophy Mage, which may be a great replacement or supplement to Glint-Nest Crane. Imagine activating Gift, getting a Mage, and tutoring a Gate. Next turn you have 2 Gifts, or if the first is killed, you still have 1.

I had a lot of judge questions yesterday with answers you might not know that generally favor us:
Unlike Eternalize, Gift tokens are full copies and have CMC equal to their casting cost. Fatal Push can target a gifted Gearhulk, but the hulk won't die.
Gift does not target. If you run its ability and they respond by exiling a creature card, you simply pick a different creature. If they exile your entire graveyard, you might be able to mill yourself on the spot and find a target for Gift.
I was able to use the previous fact to reanimate a Champion of Wits, discard Noxious Gearhulk and reanimate the Gearhulk with a second Gift to win through blockers.
Fabricate is a trigger where the choice is made as it resolves. If your opponent Grasps your Angel, you can choose to make Servos after the Angel dies.
If Champion of Wits is Grasped as it enters the battlefield, it will die with power=0. You might choose not to draw 0, discard 2, though you could do that for value if you want.
I finished 22nd at GP Denver (12-3 record) with UW gift. Took a fairly standard list with the queller SB plan. I really like the list and its consistency. I might do a report later.
My matchups day 1:

Round 5 was against Cory Burkhart. None of the three games were interactive. He flooded g1 and I flooded the other two games with a mull to 5. Round 6 was GB snake. He had main deck kalitas game 1. I dont remember what happened g2 but it was bad. Round 10 against mono red he got me dead with exact damage thanks to the desert lands (sunscorched). I think matchup is favored but he had 3 removal g1 and 4 removal g2, so was really hard to block to stop damage.
Invasive Surgery. But also, run cards like Fumigate. If they let you keep Gift, then you can just beat them up with 4/4s against nothing on their side. Mausoleum Wanderer can help, by making the Legacy uncastable until they have 4 mana.

I don't have new tech to share but I have been testing and I support the following:
- Hope of Ghirapur is a decent mausoleum wanderer replacement post rotation but it plays very differently and needs some skill.
- Fairgrounds Warden was surprisingly good. I played a singleton and it was fabulous each time I had it. Will definitely add more. It is very good early game, attracts removal to come back and find a better target.
- Hostile desert is a house! We seem to be the only deck capable of taking advantage of this card. It is so good against aggro or control. It's a perfect fit; try it and I dare you to disagree.
- strategic planning is still a good card but only as a one or two of to maintain creature density.
That would be fine, except the point of Wanderer was to counter Abrade targeting your Gift. I've been persuaded to try a couple Padeem, Consul of Innovation. Besides protecting your artifacts, if your opponents don't kill it, you get to draw lots of cards.
I've been wanting to try Greenwarden of Murasa since it was printed, and this deck can accomodate it well. Mill everything to your grave, then get Delirium and cast Traverse the Ulvenwald to tutor any card. Like Greenwarden, cast it, and retrieve anything from the graveyard. Maybe a Fumigate, or a Gate. Or traverse for a Champion to discard something, or an Angel of Sanctions to remove something.
I think this card will be good although its use is primarily different from Hope of Ghirapur. Hope is able to protect God Pharaoh, e.g. sacrifice before putting Gift to play so that they wont be able to counter a refurbish. It also protects your engine from any sorceries or planeswalkers the next turn, and then repeat.
I like to cut 1 Gift 1 Gate against Disposess just so I have a higher density of real cards if it happens. But never less than 2 Gifts. Angel of Sanctions, Sunscourge are nice that they work from the grave even apart from a gift.
