Wow at the New Perspective player punting vs Martin Juza Mono Black Zombies. I do not see how he loses that match if he casts Fumigate instead of New Perspective. You game 7 life, and you give yourself most likely two turns to survive and pull out the combo win. Such a greedy play.

Yea, those are MTG Bars. What can I say, I am a dork
What I have concluded from the live stream thus far: people really hate eldrazi in Aetherworks Marvel decks. That scar is never going to heal...
Also, finally someone at the PT realized that Aether Meltdown is actually playable. I've been using that card for ages to stop Avacyn and it gives you energy to fuel things like Dynavolt Tower or Aetherworks Marvel.
1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
What I love most is even with the somewhat better mass removal we have atm all the board wipes in the format seem useless verse these zombie and human lists. On top of that the go over deck cheats out a 10/10 that needs to be exiled.
It's the age old story that the oldest sets + the newest sets make the most broken decks in standard. This happened last time with Dragons of Tarkir + BFZ block with the age of Coco and reflector mage. Right now we are in for 5.5 months of go wide decks and basically russian roulette marveland decks until SoI and BFZ rotate. Even then, zombie tribal support is likely going to be pushed in Hour of Devastation so zombies probably aren't going anywhere.

Has the two deck format been defined yet?
Zombies & Marvel?
Considering BG Energy has a better conversion rate than Zombies & Marvel combined I'm gonna go with "No".
Is that an entirely fair comparison? Zombies and Marvel between them are like 150 decks whereas BG energy was what, 10? There's obviously no way a big portion of 150 decks can D2 if spaces are capped

It is, because we are talking about conversion rates, which means if the decks are equally strong each of them would have the same conversion rate.
A higher rate means a stronger deck which means more people are likely to play it at the next event.
Well, that's assuming conversion rates are 100% dependent on constructed play of course, which it hasn't been this weekend thanks to the intermittent drafting.
The interesting deck that has not seen any coverage (deck tech, or on twitch) is Temur (RUG) Energy, which has a 82% conversion rate.
Also, conversion rates are not a perfect measure of a deck's potential, since a player can miss day 2 because of a bad draft record, and because statistics break down when there is not enough data (a deck with 1-2 players can easily go 0 or 100%).
Keep in mind that conversion rates are also dependent on draft records. Until we see standard records, it will be hard to talk about the standard PT meta with complete information.
Calcano misplayed. He should've Fatal Pushed his Relentless Dead, getting back Lord of the Accursed from the Graveyard. He could've done that after blockers were declared as a combat trick and won that game.

I hate Ulamog so much. I've never liked Aetherworks Marvel and now I definitely don't like it. Expect people to be playing this until the next bannings. They could just ban Ulamog and leave Aetherworks unscathed.
Martin winning after those two Lost Legacy was nasty. Imagine not having to say Ulamog but saying Rogue Refiner (which got Martin a body on board, draw and gain energy) or whatever else there is in the deck.

You posted the day 2 conversion rates.
I'm talking about the day 3 conversion rates (Top 8 decks).

And now I can finally feel justified in buying 20+ mummy zombie tokens. That and the casual deck I built is actually competitive and probably T1 in standard. Go figure.

Wait till Marvel and Relentless Dead get banned because WotC's Superman needs to be the top dog.
Speaking (a little bit more) seriously, it's not much of a surprise. Control is dead so the only reliable combo and the only aggro that can consistently match it's speed are the only decks worth playing outside of FNM.
Day 1 and 2 coverage will begin at 10am ET with draft. Five rounds of Standard will start somewhere around 2pm ET.
Day 3 coverage will begin with the top 8 playing Standard at 10am ET.

But the theory is still very fair.
What? BG Energy has a 60% conversion rate, and all BG based decks combined have a 55% conversion rate. Marvel decks have a 71% conversion rate and Zombies 72%. You might be thinking of GB Aristocrats/Cryptolith which has a 100% conversion rate. The numbers are here: http://magic.wizards.com/en/events/coverage/ptakh/pro-tour-amonkhet-day-two-standard-metagame-breakdown-2017-05-13
