This is a list I've been testing recently. The revolt mechanic works like a charm. The deck typically starts incredibly strong, and the mid game holds pretty well especially when I sac Hope of Ghirapur before the opponent's third or fourth turns. However, it usually runs out of steam late game and has no answers for big creatures like the gearhulks. Suggestions?
You need to fix your curve. You have nothing past CMC 3. You have no finishers.
I would cut some of the lousy cards like implement of Ferocity, 1 Renegade Map, Hidden Herbalists, and 1 or two Vengeful Rebel. I would add some bigger creatures: Gearhulks and Sigarda seem great. Not sure what you would want at 4 CMC besides the obvious...Gideon.
I see your point, however removing both the implement and maps cuts a lot of revolt triggers. renegade maps adds a lot of consistency to the deck. even with only 20 lands, many games I play a land every turn even up to turn 5 and 6. i've experimented with several other revolt triggers and also a W/G version of the deck.
I had something similar sleeved up a while ago. What i recommend is taking out the implements, one rallier one rebel and one herbalist and replace them with 4 Lifecraft Cavalry and 3 Eldritch evolution. evolution allows you to search for your higher drops and if you sac a rallier or rebel to go get a cavalry you enable the revolt.
The thing about it is that not only is it a revolt trigger but it allows you to go search for a bigger thing in the later stages of the game.Or even earlier if you are trying to go bals to the wall.
So for sideboard i was thinking like some Hope of Ghirapur for against control and you'll think i'm crazy but like 2 consualte crackdown for vehicles match ups then just some more removal and instant speed get rid of crap for copy cat combo and stuff like that. but yeah tell me what ya think ig

i'm brewing a similar deck. what are your thoughts on a 1-2 call for unity in either the MB or SB?
Call is really slow. I tested Always watching and got good results with it it's just that I had better things to do on turn 3 then drop an always watching
Has anyone considered adding black to the list? There are some good black Revolt cards as well as good black revolt enablers. You could add a pretty good removal package onto the deck with Fatal Push and Sinister Concoction.
I don't think I like Aid From the Cowl. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad effect, I just feel like in these lists it won't really be turning over any bombs. I think just more Gearhulks would be better in that spot.
I've done some playtesting on Untap and found certain revolt cards to be rather underwhelming, mostly the beatstick cards that get +1/+1 counters. it's just not enough of a bonus to make a difference unless we try to shoehorn Winding Constrictor into the deck. however, I dont think its better than the existing B/G snek decks.
imho, these are the "best" revolt cards. finding the right mix is tricky, but I think Fatal Push and the Rallier x4 makes a lot of sense.
the next issue is deciding which revolt triggers are the best. imho, the best triggers don't cost any mana to activate (or only a little bit of mana), have a low cmc of 1 or 2, and dont have any conditions. but these cards also need to be great cards regardless of their revolt trigger potential. please add suggestions to this list!
creatures Hope of Ghirapur is good but conditional Thraben Inspector is a good card but adds 2 colorless to revolt cost Selfless Spirit is a good card and a free cost instant speed revolt trigger. a bit conditional if you want to maximize the timing of indestructible bonus. Greenbelt Rampager only usable on your turn and requires an energy dump if you want lots of repeat usage. also adds 1 green to revolt cost. Aethergeode Miner only usable on your turn, is a turn slower, but is a free mana cost trigger with potential for repeat usage Walking Ballista is an ok revolt trigger but doesnt live up to its potential without Winding Constrictor
enchantments Hidden Stockpile good but conditional, adds 1 colorless to the revolt cost Unbridled Growth isn't an awesome card by itself. it does provide card draw and mana fixing which is crucial if going with a 3 color deck. Gonti's Machinations is an ok effect for only 1 black and a free mana cost instant speed trigger, but requires energy = conditional
instants Altar's Reap adds 2 mana to the revolt cost and is conditional. might be a decent card draw/revolt trigger option in the mid and late game.

all of the "implements" are meh Renegade Map an unconditional instant speed trigger, but is a turn slower and is just a "meh" card otherwise Stitcher's Graft is a decent trigger but adds 2 mana to the revolt cost and is a meh card compared to competitive equipment from past standard decks Terrarion an unconditional instant speed trigger and mana fixer with card draw, but is a turn slower and requires two mana to activate Slab Hammer is a decent trigger but is a meh card compared to competitive equipment from past standard decks.
lands Evolving Wilds an unconditional instant speed trigger, but effect is less useful in mid and late game.
what's the final verdict? imho the main problem right now with revolt is the lack of powerful, standard competitive cards that are also great revolt triggers. most viable revolt triggers provide card draw and mana fixing which is nice, but not exactly stuff that will take command of a game from an opponent playing Mardu Vehicles, Cat Combo, or B/G Snek. I'm hoping the next set will have better Revolt triggers and Revolt cards. I like the revolt mechanic a lot, it's simple and fun. but I'm really struggling to see how it can be competitive right now.
I played a BWG deck that was almost good. The best cards were Hidden Stockpile, Thraben Inspector, Catacomb Sifter, Fatal Push. Another removal, better than Sinister Concoction is Bone Splinters. To make this work, you need tokens, like you get from Sifter and Stockpile. My deck used Zulaport Cutthroat to kill them, and Yahenni to sac things fast. In the end, the deck has power but can't quite match Mardu nor Saheeli decks. It can stonewall BG decks and win though. Other decks it can compete with. Fumigate is a nice play when you get value from your stuff dying.

I think Sinister Concoction is a really good revolt enabler. It's instant speed, unconditional creature kill and only adds B to the cost of revolt. You can even discard 2 cmc cards to it and use Rallier to get it back. It's a very synergistic card for revolt.
I think Bone Splinters is underwhelming for the deck. Sorcery speed removal isn't exactly great... Especially when it hits only creatures, regardless of if you only sacrifice tokens to it.
Depends on your deck. If you have lots of ways to get something back, discard doesn't matter. If it's only Renegade Rallier, I wouldn't do it. (A) you might not have Rallier, and (B) you might already have targets to retrieve. Remember this spell puts 2 things in the grave. If you have more uses for the grave then go for it.
Sorcery speed kill-anything for (B) is pretty good. Remember that a lot of the revolt triggers only work on your turn anyway, so instant usually isn't important.
I just remembered, the best revolt enabler in standard, nobody even mentioned on this thread yet: Felidar Guardian. Blinking a Rallier is good stuff.

IF you have a revolt permanent already in play, then yes, it's an excellent option. blinking a Rallier is good stuff, IF there's a sweet 2 cmc target you can abuse two or three turns in a row. what do you suggest? I've pored over the 1 and 2 cmc W/B/G, artifact, and land options as a target for Rallier and can't come up with anything that will bury an opponent or provide an overwhelming advantage for the revolt player. do we start looking at red & blue Rallier targets and go for a 4 color deck??? yikes!
I agree there is nothing overwhelming. You have to build a value deck where Revolt is only part of the plan. Pair it with cards that like dying, like entering, or like other things entering or dying. Ninth Bridge Patrol is another such card. Not sure it's good though, but just throwing it out there.
