The idea behind the deck was to combo off of Dubious and get some Goldnights into play. From there, if my opponent chose it, I would combo with casting Choking Restraints to lock it down on my opponent's side, and then burn my opponent to the face with spells.
So far the idea is very sketchy. The deck is very inconsistent. Here is what I have so far as my maindeck:
Just need some help to move this deck in the right direction to be more consistent. The biggest problem I have is not drawing my key cards....ever. Thoughts?
Impetuous Devils could be a good creature to tutor with Dubious Challenge. If it works how I think it does (I could be wrong), then the opponent will have to sacrifice their copy at the end of our turn and never really get the chance to use it on their turn. Voldaren Duelist could be a decent choice -- the effect is one-sided and one-time. Bedlam Reveler could be a good if the opponent is worried about discarding their hand.
Wispweaver Angel could be a good choice in White. If you can tutor up two of them then you'll essentially get both back on your side of the field.
You may not be interested in going with a different color but I think Black has a lot of good targets for Dubious Challenge:
Pale Rider of Trostad - if you're playing a graveyard/madness deck and don't mind extra discard. This discard could possibly scare the opponent away from chosing it
Mindwrack Demon - if you're playing a delirium deck and your opponent isn't then it could be quite a liability for them.
Inverter of Truth - if you're playing a self-mill type of deck. Most of the time I bet this would be a terrifying choice for an opponent. I could see using Challenge just to tutor one (no use in exiling your library twice)
Dust Stalker - you'll just get it back if the opponent has no colorless creatures.
Smothering Abomination - if the opponent has an empty board then they'll just sacrifice it at the start of their turn. Sure, they'll get an extra card but that could be better for us than a 4/3 flier
Graf Rats/Midnight Scavengers - if you can cause it to flip when it comes in then you'll get a 5/6 with haste and menace as well as +1/+0 and Menace for your team while the oppoenent gets a 'lousy' 2/1 or 3/3
Nightmare - Yes, its still legal (through the Welcome Deck). If you're playing against a non-black deck then it'll do nothing for the opponent
You 100% want Deadlock Trap rather than Choking Restraints. If your opponent has a Goldnight Castigator you're not letting attack or block, by the time the Deadlock Trap functions differently from a Choking Restraints, your opponent is dead. And it's colorless. And it can be set up previous to when you cast the Dubious Challenge.

I have this "great" idea of using the following cards in combo with each other:
Dubious Challenge
Goldnight Castigator
&
Choking Restraints
The idea behind the deck was to combo off of Dubious and get some Goldnights into play. From there, if my opponent chose it, I would combo with casting Choking Restraints to lock it down on my opponent's side, and then burn my opponent to the face with spells.
So far the idea is very sketchy. The deck is very inconsistent. Here is what I have so far as my maindeck:
4 Goldnight Castigator
4 Fiery Temper
3 Skywhaler's Shot
4 Dubious Challenge
3 Burn from Within
3 Collective Defiance
2 Declaration in Stone
4 Choking Restraints
2 Chandra, Torch of Defiance
2 Dynavolt Tower
I haven't really worked out my lands but I've been running 3 Inspiring Vantage, 4 Fortified Village, and 1 Cinder Glade
