At first I saw it as a limited bomb but not quite up to being Type 2 worthy, but then I realized its a 1U 2/1 flyer that usually can't come out turn 2, or 2U for a nifty effect elsewhere. Anyone else think that means its going in my (theoretical) Faerie build?
If you use pestermite well, it becomes a combat trick, a manatrick, a nice bit of mana lockdown, or tempo advantage;
Aka, untap a big creature and block 2 creatures or doubleblock and kill. Can also untap sprite noble and retap for more damage.
It can be used to untap a land for the ability to play another spell.
Can slow down your opponents manacurve by 1-2 during their upkeep.
Can be used to tap an attacker, giving a turn to topdeck.
its a very good card. it doesn't fare well in the Mogg Fanatic dominated standard environment though. i expect it to make a much bigger splash in block constructed and possibly make the jump to standard if/when the faerie deck becomes viable after Morningtide is released.
my feeling at the moment is that its best use by far is as a mini-fog, to tap down a Doran or Goyf for a turn as you get ahead in the damage race with flyers. thats fairly useful in its own right even if the faerie bites it immediately (at least you got a 1 for 1 trade with your mini fog).
ya, good card that needs a home. here's to hoping blue picks up some neat new critters in Morningtide. A 1 drop faerie worth playing would make all the difference in the world.

Hmmmm, 1-drop fae that taps to produce a U mana maybe?? I can dream...

Definitely not an aggro player.

Hmm, don't really have problems with my build.......
Anyway, yes. Pestermite is incredibly versitile. If you like it so much try the fae out, they won't disapoint.

Ey bill, can you post your deck list at the "Faerie?" forum? I'm quite intrigued with your build. Thanks!
