I've actually been having a lot of success with this deck in both the aggro and the control matchups. Everyone in my shop is freaking out, because they think that slivers are impossible to beat lol.
I might consider moving Essence Sliver to the SB, because it is great against aggro but horrible against control.
But for those that aren't playing it, I would definatly reccomend Bonesplitter Sliver. He can completely shock your opponent and end the game quickly.
After a long time away from this forum (blame video games), I am back to testing again.
I'm thinking that Sunforger may be an option for this build. It's kind of spendy, but it will end a game quick with all the burn and stuff.
Edit: The mana tithes are really good to screw up other decks tempo, it's like an extra turn for me early on which is where this deck really shines, at this point besides Sedge Sliver, this deck almost a sliver version of dark boros which is RW aggro with a splash of black.
sunforger also has nice synergy with mana tithe, btw...i remember reading an article on the wizards site that said they didn't want swift silence to be less than 5 mana, 'cause people could fetch it up with the sunforger.
has anyone here tried a build that plays more like black/white than boros? i think that r/w/b aggro needs to be running disruption over burn to stay competitive in a format where most of the decks you are playing against are gonna have wrath in them.
i've had reasonable results with this build, base far more around disruption than killing fast. slivers kills fast enough that the burn would rarely lower the clock by more than a single turn and castigate and rise//fall disrupt the opponent well enough to get that extra turn to win. to make this easier on the curve i cut some of the higher cost slivers for mindlashes which, other than a slight strain on the mana base, have been golden as it's great to always have a 1 drop and it makes wrath kinda tricky when you have mana up.
If you notice I have it built as an aggro deck, but the sideboard contains sets of both Mortify and Castigate. I have not forgotten about control.
Also, wrath is hardly a threat to this deck, with a hand usually full of burn cards, griffin guide on a sliver in play, and usually more slivers in hand, this deck recovers very quickly from wrath of god. The cautary slivers help squeeze off a few last points off your slivers before they become wrath fodder.
I know I'll be rockin some b/w aggro love once PC hits mtgo. 4 ofs: Sinew, Mindlash, Sidewinder, Basal, and Necrotic slivers. Good balance of aggro/control. Then throw in some discard like stupor/small pox. And a surprise Temporal extortion or so. b/w gives you great sideboard capalities for all of you tourney heads...
Sliver Slaughter! (Say it five times fast.) That was the name of my Legions sliver deck (although the name makes it sound like the slivers are being killed.)
No results? they're on the front page. I have like 30 matches of testing.
Not to mention they're are waaayyy worse names out their right now than Bladestorm, I mean we got Pickles, "This Girl", and KarstenBotBabyKiller, to name a few....
Edit:I won my first 2/3 match against mesa control ever(it was a mix of martyr tron and mesa control to make a mono white weenie life deck), game 1 I killed them too quickly to set up, and game 2 I threw down Pyrohemia to keep Mesa off the board.
ive been using this
SB: 4 threaten
SB: 4 Sudden Death
SB: 4 Extirpate
SB: 3 Cryoclasm
1 Swamp
2 Browbeat
2 Plains
3 Mountain
4 Blood Crypt
4 Sacred Foundry
4 Battlefield Forge
4 Godless Shrine
4 Seal of Fire
4 Lightning Helix
4 Rift Bolt
4 Char
4 Bonesplitter Sliver
4 Sinew Sliver
4 Sidewinder Sliver
4 Sedge Sliver
4 Cautery Sliver
and so far ive been able to win against virtually every agro deck in the format. I sideboard in the sudden death, and extirpate to kill teferi, and then extirpate it to cripple dralnu decks and other control decks. the only real problem i have is versus scryb and force, where i sideboard in the threatens. with all the burn i can consistently goldfish by turn 4 almost every draw, and can typically win before dragonstorm goes off. i tried necrotic sliver, but it slows down the deck far too much to be worth it. i really hope to see a red 1cc sliver come in FS or another 2mana sliver that falls into the mana curver thats effieient enough as an agro. let me no if you have any suggestions. right now my worst match is dralnu, but i can still win about 30-40% of the time with sudden death and extirpates.
As for the name: how bout swastika slivers, that is a well known symbol containing all the colors of the deck, and as far as the theme of the deck, yah it's pretty consistent too(referring to all creatures being slivers and nothing more).
That's kind of supporting the Nazi's isn't it? Also, I don't want the word "slivers" in the deck name, it sounds degenerate and boring.
Swastikas, although used by the Nazis are also used in many other cultures for many purposes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika
but that is purely in your own taste. Since the Orzohov were religious, and somewhat the Boros were somewhat devout, I think "Burning Crusade" may be a good name, although whatever. As for card choices, SB sidewinder please, it is horrible. and has anyone tested with Bob, seems like a good idea, despite the obvious handicap of not being a sliver.
In what way is Sidewinder terrible? It's the only good one drop sliver in T2 and helps get damage through because of the flanking.
that thing will get piracy charmed, funeral charmed, darkblasted, blocked by a watchwolf, burned, bounced or simply ignored(MGA: blocking!? what's that?) in any deck where it's ability is actually relevant. The deck has quite a few other options for a good 1 mana spell.
Not to mention if you get Sidewinder Sliver turn one, Sinew turn two, and sedge turn three thats six extra damage that you normally wouldn't get. Think about it. Although if I have a good had with Rift Bolt and no Sidewinder, then yes I will keep it and just go RB turn one, but sidewinder has more potential for damage with a good curve.
Suspend Rift Bolt on turn one is normally a horrible play as well. Burn is meant to be spent on opposing blockers. I completely understand that you are trying to push your opponent's life total down as quickly as possible, but the best way to do that is to save burn for blockers or the final points to the dome. Suspend Rift Bolt is so bad that I don't even play the card, as Volcanic Hammer, Sudden Shock, and any other number of burn spells (I can't wait for Incinerate to be legal again.) are just plain better.
In goldfishing, Bob seems to be key to the deck. I'm definitely running 4. I'm also redusing Sidewinders to 3, as I almost never want to play one on turn 1.

Why Bladestorm?
There is no Blade Sliver, nor Storm Cards.
Anyways, has anyone done any extensive testing with this deck? It seems promising to me, but I haven't seen any results for it so far.

i think the SB could use some tweaks... it did well at FNM, losing only to mono-red burn. blood knight is a pain to play against.
any suggestions?
