Alrighty, I went a mini tournout of 9 people at a FNM today. I got 2nd; which I am pretty happy about. (Only 2 packs tho?!) Anyway, here we go.
Match 1: Vs. Reanimator
Yeah, Classic Reanimater. Game 1 he gets turn 2 Looter il-kor. I just wait a while, waiting for the bomb to be dropped. He immediately swings and pitchs Akroma, Angel of Wrath. Again, I ramp up mana and cards. He then reanimates it, (After he swung with Looter to draw the reanimation spell). I next turn suspend Lotus bloom that I drew. He swings with akroma and Looter (im at 11). He then Compulsive Reasearch's; droping Angel of Dispare. I draw, land, go. He swings with looter and Akroma and i go to 4. He then Reanimates AoD and eats a land. Next turn I get Lotus Bloom, Seething song, Seething Song, Remand a Rite of Flame, Rite of Flame, Dstorm copied 5 times. GG
Game 2: He gets early beats, but a hellkite ends that. He then swings + char's him out. We go Draw/go for a while, Until I go; Telling time, Slight of hand, Slight of hand, Bogarian Hellkite. That kept his lethal Watchwolf at bay, And double EOT repeal hellkite, play it won me the game.

i would have sided out 3x remands sicne they only stall for a turn agaisnt a reanimation spell, the point to is combo as fast as possible not to stall it out
ok i went to a torny today about 27 people we had 4 round to top 8
match 1: boros deck wins
game 1: turn 4 kill, he was at 21 life but it didnt matter i had 4 dragons and he has 2/2s with no cards in hand
game 2: well i had that turn 4 kill except one of my dragon got honorable passaged and he rift bolt+chared me next turn for the win
game 3: he didnt deal a single pont of damage until turn 4 sad? i comboed on turn 6 for 6 storm copies even though i had had 5 dragons left in my deck
match 2: some u/g deck i think its the old type with frogs+plexmanta+vinelasher
game 1: destroyed him, i didnt draw dragonstorm, but his deck was far slower than boros i hard casted 2x hellktie cleared his board and flyed for victory
game 2: i got a bit overconfidant and instead of palying carefully, i walked into a vioslime on triggered dstorm, i tried to wipe the board but he plexmanta and protected all his creature and swung for lethal
game 3: played clearfully ad won with dstorm for 4 copies on turn 5-6 i forgot
match 3: dranlu
game 1: comboed on turn 4 he had 2 desert and 1x island, i tapped his island at eot
game 2: lost, i stormed for 5x he rewinded 2x copies leaked 1x copy then next turn he played a skeleton vamp and stablizied
game 3: close game, i was able to storm out 3x hellkties dropping him to one( he took damage from using pains with rewind), next turn he topped deck sieze the soul and won
match 4: gruul
game 1: wow this was scary i comboed at 2 wihle looknig at 2x gruul mauler a kird ape and a burning tree
game 2: he won, it was clsoe to combing 1 more untap phase and i would have been able to combo
game 3: turn 4 ds win, i just love these wins lol

game 1: turn 4 storm for kill,no wrath he was able to condmen a dragon and then marytr for 9 but he coulnt keep since i was netting 6 damamge a turn
game 2: turn 4 storm for 4 for kill he wasnt even fighting back
this game surprised me, u/w version of martyr seems to have a not a overhwlming matchup as mono white againt ds
finals: against the dranlu player that i lost too in match 3
i pretty much lost this one since he draw 3x rewind game 1 and 2x trickbind game 2, not much to say here
my version is just like the japanese world champ version except i run 4x storage land mainboard and 1 more grozoth and 1 less land, its donig pretty good for me
Good results. You know, save dralnu, we can beat any deck with the right plays. as shown by worlds. kudos all around.

is it the one that destroys 2 land everytime it attacks?i think i posted right after i saw that dragon its the only useful dragon legend for dragonstorm. i dont know it its good agaisnt against martyr white or u/w martyr tron it can win the game if u get a while attacks in the only problem is getting it to stick around since its mostly shut off the cop red or condemned or wrathed away
against u/b pickles or drnalu it might be a whole diferent story, the will run 4x mass removal against dstorm and i doubt he'll run any spot removal against dstorm afterboard so just dstorm all u need is 1 copy(that means trickbind friendly) so let them trickbind and next turn if they dont have dmantion u win -2 land a turn take out the swamps first and go all the way
i can see the devsitator as the one of- dragons in board that helps improve a certain matchup just like niv-mizzet which can help imporve out glare matchup to over 80% afterbaord
im getting desparate to beat dranlu i could have won the the torny and got a boosterbox but i lost in the finals to dranlu
4 defence grid i hope these will help( i tested about 7-8 games, i was able to totally crush dranlu by gigadrowse when i have 2 mana when their rerwind isnt online yet then play grid, this even makes late game better for u since thier rewinds arent nearly as good when defence grid is online)
niv-nizzet is jsut those one-of that really helps in several matchups against black rack, its self can turn the game right back and against glare it gives u kill condition if ur initial dragonstorm doesnt hit
bliss is a must with the new meta containing lots of rack since they stomp on dragonstorm and martyr vairent and have a 50/50 against dranlu
repeal- any aggro matchup i tend to board out remand on the draw and gigadrowse on the play because against aggro decks remand is a bit too slow on the draw when u have 2 mana they have 3 already adn they could probably jsut replay watever they just casted
jsut wodnering if any1 still play teferi in their board cause i dont really know y we need one since any deck we want to play it against it usually can counter it and any other deck its jsut useless? i found one to be useful but i rather have 2x trickbind now agaisnt those martyr matchups and against mirror
about the new red akroma. i feel that its jsut not strong enough as i tohught it would be. it mgith be a 1 or 2-of but definitly not a 4-of msot of the time it gets wrath or seized i like defense grid a lot better
this may even be my board after PC. i might at most take out my niv-mizzet if i see rack+glare completely die and add in 1x akroma as surprise factor
im also really against the decking idea. i hate 8 sidebaord space just to help against 1 snowwhite matchup
I defeated dralnu on friday... it wasn't hard at all... Game 1 I gigadrowsed then comboed out on turn 4-5.

is that good? My opponent is mad, does that mean I win now? I don't understand whats going on, was that the right play? lol
well against dranlu, it realyl depends on the player i got pretty desparate so i added defense grid to my sideboard now
before board ur gigadrowse usually get countered by their rewind
so far i lost 2 torny to dranlu while running dstorm which really sucks lol and i won all 3 fnm in which i run dranlu nistead of dstorm, but im just not gonna give my storm deck up
I used to run defense grid about a month ago, but i never needed it. see, while a working dralnu deck is hard, sometimes they just can't stop the gigadrowse and combo, i mean everything does not always work out.
I think that we should play our own Teferis instead of Rewinds....seems better in other match ups too and if we dont go off we can play like a control deck.

ok i dont really know how to sidebaord with ur board since the glimpse/izzet guildmage is a tested idea

repeal/pyro/spell snare- as i said in my early post u side it in agaisnt every aggro mtchups its a tempo gainer and stall lots of time, i usually board out the remands on draw and gigadrowse on the play. spell snare is a bit more versitile than the other 2 aggro haters sice it can counter cards like smallpox+castigate+cop red+honorable passage too, but it cant deal with anything that already hit the board.
ignorant bliss- i board these in against any deck that run heavy discard decks, u should always board them in if u see a control deck that run black but doesnt run discard since chances t they have persecutes in board(maybe only 2) and at worst its just a cantrip, i board out 2x remands usually if they run blue(trickbind) but if tis full discard like mono black rack i just board out 4x gigadrowse for 4x bliss
trickbind- these r really versitle, it helps u versus many matchups
i board these in agaisnt u/martyr vareient, glare,fader. this card can shut down those annoy jesert caps+cop red in fader, glare in glare, and proclamation+martyr in martyr varient.
most fo the time i board out remands against u/w martyr tron, probably remands agains galre and gigadrowse against fader
teferi/defense grid/counterspell of ur own- these r just random cards basically, some people run teferi to help their conuter matchup and add a kill condition, counterspell of their own can help turn this into a semi more controllish build, and some people like me who just tends to lose to dranlu and play 4x defense grid

Just playing right now in a tourny on MODO, i played a G/U control deck, i won game one, game two he sided in Zur's Weirding, and played it turn 3 each time. he killed me because of it in both games.
What do we do to stop that?
I would definately go with an Ignorant Bliss, Repeal, Sulphurous Blast, Spell Snare sideboard for now. The Glimpse/Guildmage idea has only really shown itself to be useful in the MartyrTron matchup, which I haven't seen in awhile.
I played in CityChamps yesterday, and I audibled to Gruul because I was seeing a lot of slow control (MD rewinds, etc...). I went 0-3 :). Last time I ever switch off of Dragonstorm.
As for the way to SB, I was thinking about this:
In aggro, I am pretty confident taking out either Sleights or Telling Times for repeals. My reasoning: Repeal gains you tempo and draws you a card, which is the relative net effect of either card.
Aggro:
In:
Repeal x4
Sulph. Blast x3
Spell Snare x4
Out:
Hunted Dragon x2 (giving 3+ 2/2's to aggro not a good idea if you can't beat them this turn).
Dreadship Reef x1 (usually too slow against aggro)
Telling Time x4 (good, but same relative CC as repeal)
Remand x4 (good at stalling, but spell snares will stop Watchwolf, Priest, hammer, honorable passage, Silhana, Scab Clan, etc...etc...)
If you're playing against Boros, be sure to bring in a spell snare or two. Honestly, I would bring in 3 or 4 spell snares against aggro because you will need it turn four or five to counter the Honorable Passage. I would remove Remands for the Spell Snares. In aggro, Lotus blooms absolutely do not come out. Against Control, I will usually board out the blooms.
In all honesty, spell snare should probably come in in every matchup, because almost every deck's answer to DS is a 2cc (Shadow of Doubt, Remand/Leak/Snare, Honorable Passage, CoP: Red). Also, a couple repeals might come in against control against Ivory Mask.

While i agree with butteblues, you can still run gemstone mines. i do, but now i also run storage lands because it is vital that you have a late game strategy because going off turn 4 is just not the best strategy, because it has the most margin of error.

well here is wat i suggest, since i cant gave up this deck im jsut gonna splash black to abusive these new cards
jsut tested a few more games with defense grid, they r great versus dranlu only bad thing is if they hit 4 mana they can deal with it pretty easily (repeal+spell snare), but all the times when they didnt get that i jsut stopped on them. eot teferi now hurts more than ever for dranlu
here is wat i suggest to board out:
-4 remands, i found these to be really useless in a dranlu matchup they stall teferi for a turn but never much more

I don't really know the matches yet, i'm kinda just playing the deck and winning lol.
can you guys help me out with my deck and how and what to sideboard
4x defence grid
2x trickbind
4x ignorant bliss
1x niv-mizzet
4x repeal
im getting desparate to beat dranlu i could have won the the torny and got a boosterbox but i lost in the finals to dranlu
4 defence grid i hope these will help( i tested about 7-8 games, i was able to totally crush dranlu by gigadrowse when i have 2 mana when their rerwind isnt online yet then play grid, this even makes late game better for u since thier rewinds arent nearly as good when defence grid is online)
niv-nizzet is jsut those one-of that really helps in several matchups against black rack, its self can turn the game right back and against glare it gives u kill condition if ur initial dragonstorm doesnt hit
bliss is a must with the new meta containing lots of rack since they stomp on dragonstorm and martyr vairent and have a 50/50 against dranlu
repeal- any aggro matchup i tend to board out remand on the draw and gigadrowse on the play because against aggro decks remand is a bit too slow on the draw when u have 2 mana they have 3 already adn they could probably jsut replay watever they just casted
jsut wodnering if any1 still play teferi in their board cause i dont really know y we need one since any deck we want to play it against it usually can counter it and any other deck its jsut useless? i found one to be useful but i rather have 2x trickbind now agaisnt those martyr matchups and against mirror
about the new red akroma. i feel that its jsut not strong enough as i tohught it would be. it mgith be a 1 or 2-of but definitly not a 4-of msot of the time it gets wrath or seized i like defense grid a lot better
this may even be my board after PC. i might at most take out my niv-mizzet if i see rack+glare completely die and add in 1x akroma as surprise factor
im also really against the decking idea. i hate 8 sidebaord space just to help against 1 snowwhite matchup

well against dranlu, it realyl depends on the player i got pretty desparate so i added defense grid to my sideboard now
before board ur gigadrowse usually get countered by their rewind
so far i lost 2 torny to dranlu while running dstorm which really sucks lol and i won all 3 fnm in which i run dranlu nistead of dstorm, but im just not gonna give my storm deck up
maybe we pack our own rewind.

ok i dont really know how to sidebaord with ur board since the glimpse/izzet guildmage is a tested idea
but i can tell u this though

repeal/pyro/spell snare- as i said in my early post u side it in agaisnt every aggro mtchups its a tempo gainer and stall lots of time, i usually board out the remands on draw and gigadrowse on the play. spell snare is a bit more versitile than the other 2 aggro haters sice it can counter cards like smallpox+castigate+cop red+honorable passage too, but it cant deal with anything that already hit the board.
ignorant bliss- i board these in against any deck that run heavy discard decks, u should always board them in if u see a control deck that run black but doesnt run discard since chances t they have persecutes in board(maybe only 2) and at worst its just a cantrip, i board out 2x remands usually if they run blue(trickbind) but if tis full discard like mono black rack i just board out 4x gigadrowse for 4x bliss
trickbind- these r really versitle, it helps u versus many matchups
i board these in agaisnt u/martyr vareient, glare,fader. this card can shut down those annoy jesert caps+cop red in fader, glare in glare, and proclamation+martyr in martyr varient.
most fo the time i board out remands against u/w martyr tron, probably remands agains galre and gigadrowse against fader
teferi/defense grid/counterspell of ur own- these r just random cards basically, some people run teferi to help their conuter matchup and add a kill condition, counterspell of their own can help turn this into a semi more controllish build, and some people like me who just tends to lose to dranlu and play 4x defense grid
Just playing right now in a tourny on MODO, i played a G/U control deck, i won game one, game two he sided in Zur's Weirding, and played it turn 3 each time. he killed me because of it in both games.
What do we do to stop that?
I played in CityChamps yesterday, and I audibled to Gruul because I was seeing a lot of slow control (MD rewinds, etc...). I went 0-3 :). Last time I ever switch off of Dragonstorm.
As for the way to SB, I was thinking about this:
In aggro, I am pretty confident taking out either Sleights or Telling Times for repeals. My reasoning: Repeal gains you tempo and draws you a card, which is the relative net effect of either card.
Aggro:
In:
Repeal x4
Sulph. Blast x3
Spell Snare x4
Out:
Hunted Dragon x2 (giving 3+ 2/2's to aggro not a good idea if you can't beat them this turn).
Dreadship Reef x1 (usually too slow against aggro)
Telling Time x4 (good, but same relative CC as repeal)
Remand x4 (good at stalling, but spell snares will stop Watchwolf, Priest, hammer, honorable passage, Silhana, Scab Clan, etc...etc...)
If you're playing against Boros, be sure to bring in a spell snare or two. Honestly, I would bring in 3 or 4 spell snares against aggro because you will need it turn four or five to counter the Honorable Passage. I would remove Remands for the Spell Snares. In aggro, Lotus blooms absolutely do not come out. Against Control, I will usually board out the blooms.
In all honesty, spell snare should probably come in in every matchup, because almost every deck's answer to DS is a 2cc (Shadow of Doubt, Remand/Leak/Snare, Honorable Passage, CoP: Red). Also, a couple repeals might come in against control against Ivory Mask.
well u can telling time/sleight of hand into ur combo, but msot green/blue deck dont run zur's wielding. u just got matched against a rogue sideboard tester
some new cards in PC some could break us some could help break the deck

Choose target card, other than a basic land in a graveyard. Search its controller's graveyard, hand and library for all cards with the same name and remove them from the game.
this card is really scary
especially before if we face mono black rack, we can still recover if they dont hit our whole hand, but now this card can remove everyone of our kill conditions
this card might help make dragonstorm stronger:
Simian Spirit Guide- this card let u remove it from the game from your hand to add a red mana to our pool, which can speeden our dstorm, but it doesnt add to our storm count but i think it deserves to be tested at least

well here is wat i suggest, since i cant gave up this deck im jsut gonna splash black to abusive these new cards
jsut tested a few more games with defense grid, they r great versus dranlu only bad thing is if they hit 4 mana they can deal with it pretty easily (repeal+spell snare), but all the times when they didnt get that i jsut stopped on them. eot teferi now hurts more than ever for dranlu
here is wat i suggest to board out:
-4 remands, i found these to be really useless in a dranlu matchup they stall teferi for a turn but never much more
lol its nearly like a season ago, cranial extraction for their cranial extraction but how r we gonna get this card into their graveyard?
