Ok so I decided to brew this deck to make it easy to transition from current standard to post rotation and didn't want to deal with purchasing/trading for cards that are rotating out in a month. This deck is not tested yet mainly because i'm waiting on a few cards to arrive. I believe with some tweaking and help from the community this deck could be viable in Standard though. Anyways here is the deck list so far.
I think return and some number of roasts need to be in the board. I think you want the full playset of impulses and maybe want a full set of firecracker main.
Thanks yeah was thinking about doing firecrafts main (once I get them)so 3 Roast instead of 4 and 2 in board -2 Return in main and +4 Firecraft +1 Impulse to deck. Might even sub out an obligator instead of Roast though just toying with ideas atm.
The problem with so many roast is the sorcery speed and we have 0 idea how many flyers are gonna be around in the meta especially with angels coming around.
I may replace roast with temper then and free up some space for something else depending on what else is in SoI for red. Still toying with the list though and it's not bad imo for a first time not netdecking i'd say. I'll probably test it out and see how it fairs against current meta too.
SOI discussion must be kept in SNCD until the entire set is spoiled.
You can talk about exclusively BFZ/OGW cards in the interest of keeping your deck "resilient to rotation" but you can't talk about cards in relation to SOI.
I am glad someone else is trying to make big red a thing again. I am currently running a big red variant that has a similar early aggro shell as atarka red, but instead of the green splash for atarka's command and become immense, I have put in place more burn removal and top end red cards in order to curve out. With this build I feel like we get the aggressiveness of a typical mono red aggro, but also more control and better finishers when we curve out. I have noticed that the synergy between Thunderbreak Regent and Draconic Roar is so good. The ability to replay Exquisite Firecraft or Draconic Roar with Goblin Dark-Dwellers has been pretty good. I think it is even better than Mardu Green's replaying of Crackling Doom in some situations as a form of removal. Here is my current decklist for big red. It is based off Tom Maxwell's deck that got 1st place in a recent RPTQ in Lincoln, Nebraska with some changes I have made. I have thought about converting it into an eldrazi big red variant similar to yours, but I have already done some playtesting with this build and it has not disappointed me so far. I think the eldrazi variant could be a major contender though post rotation.

This deck looks really familiar! Pretty sure I just played against it Tuesday night. I was on Atarka Red. Unfortunately I lost but realized a bit later that I miscounted my mana and should have combo'd off for the win. I forgot I could have played TBR before BE for the extra delve card since the creature was unblocked.

Yeah I like this deck because it has a similar early aggro shell as atarka red and more midgame finishers although it does sacrifice a lot of the explosiveness from not having atarka's command, become immense, titan's strength, and temur battle rage. I guess it comes down to personal playstyle preference. I am going to really miss atarka red though when it rotates. Hopefully SOI will have some good replacements for swiftspear, become immense, etc.
The entire deck survives rotation, that's the point. He still could've ran the BR uncommon dual land, though wilds has the benefit of grabbing his wastes.
