I don't run any counters main. I might run 1 Quash in the SB but thats about it. Does this deck really have to have counters? I can beat MUC fairly easily withough them albeit they can be helpful. I was thinking of MDing a single Condescend because of the BS mana acceleration

And on February 28th, 2005, thousands of affinity players had to begin to learn how to play Magic...
A player at the local shop (no tournament, just a bunch of people playing casual games) plays the ability of door to nothingness.
As his opponent is about to pick up his cards, he stands up and walks three tables down, and taps the guy on the shoulder. "Hi, I'm playing just a few tables down and just sacrificed a door to nothingness. I'm targeting you. Sorry."
And the guy picked up his cards.
against mono green u really need the counters... and against anything else....
Because I don't have a lot, people won't think I run any so tooth can be counterd, same with death cloud...
land destruction is a joke against this deck, between 11-12 mana supplements, the oracle, and, well, every other card in your deck, you dont have to worry about it.
unless it is, again, sundering titan :-\
someone help this deck beat tooth (one cranial extraction isnt enough)
i don't know if you guys agreed on running All Suns' Dawn in the main, but i didnt see revive being mentioned. i dont know how good it would be but seems to me like gift for all suns dawn, witness, revive + random card is a good deal. revive might be the missing piece to break the gifts open.

The areas between the cities give them room for green and red creatures without having to print something like "Central Park Druid" or "Backyard Squirrel" or something.
Actually, I don't use the All suns...
It's slow..
of course, its a great card.. but I don't really have time to use it...
Plus, I got Bribery maindeck...
I think I'll kick out the All suns'...
What do you think?
I'm just saying it costs 5, and there are lots of stuff you play before that...
against mono green u really need the counters... and against anything else....

meh, im runnin one extraction and possibly one quash sideboard this time... this deck is so fun to tool around with.. against green tho i havent had problems. i play 2 wrath, 1 judgement, 1 pulse of the fields, and worship/ascetic/pristine, it's hard to get around ya know...
i played in a 24 person tourney last night for a mox pearl and got 2nd (first place was a pro-player w/rediculous death cloud - he was the only one that beat me, in the regular rounds and for the win)
however.....
I GOT A FOIL BoP for 2nd place!!!!
i'd also like to state that this deck is FRICKIN FUN!!! (game 3 versus mono blue control, we were both at 2 and he had 3 nexus' out. basically i was dead next turn. i use my top and find a witness, play the witness and fireball him for 3) best round of my life. haha
I need to play in tournaments that are 24 people and give Moxes for first place...Canton is only about 6 hours from me, how often do those tournies happen?
once a month really, they just started doing em... they are unsanctioned and on a friday (the week they give away a good prize the sanctioned tourney is moved to sunday)
the store is called Game Trader, i know you can find em on the net...if ya have trouble let me know
soulless revival is revive+1, it doesnt only get witness back from gifts, it gets any dude you want back, (say, if you gifts for meloku, witness, soulless revival, and oracle or something) and they give you the soulless and the oracle, you dont have to mess with bringing back the witness then the meloku, you can go straight for meloku.
revive would only be better if black was dropped from the deck.

if you only have one and playtest ten games it doesnt disprove the card.... not to rant but i jus think you should give one of the BEST cards in t2 a chance.
I just never Gifted for it. I always wanted something else. Most of the time I'll Gift at the end of their turn and get things like Eternal Witness, All Suns Dawn, one of my win conditions, and something that I need that moment which is most of the time Persecute, Engineered Explosives, or(against aggro) Wrath of God. Now then, don't get me wrong it is a great card but so far through my testing, I haven't a reason to use it. For now it will be in my SB

Is Solemn bad to run in this deck? I was going to run him, but wasn't sure.
I thought about it too, but it is not really needed....
+ what you'll kick out for him? kodama's reach? birds? sakura? there are already enough mana fixers...
"I wouldn't remove Kodama's Reach without thinking twice about it."
Exactly.
Now, even if you didnt write you dont have a currect build I'd tell you you need to test a lot more.
1. myojin cannot be played.. it's so Xpensive! you can't wait for It.
In my build the most Xpensive card is duplicant (6).
2. Meloku and Bringer are a MUST, at least in the worst case at least 1 of them, they help so much... bringer- draws, draws, draws- after you that you say "Hey it's a 5\5 trample creature too!".
Meloku-defently a win condition so powerful, helps a lot with tendo!
3.you took out 1 city. if you don't play clearwater goblet, Etched Orcale and bringer thats OK, in your build you dont- I think clearwater goblet is a must in not, you simply lose to RDW.
4.I dont think Oxidize ,Naturalize and shaman are needed, don't foget you have witness, and *** for the creatures too. i play naturalize and shaman.
If anyone thinks I'm wrong and has other ideas please share them, all I said here is from pure testing against all kinds of decks.
i would definately drop the myojin for BotUD or meloku and oxidise for the other. Other than that it looks like a decent build, i agree with muss the goblet really helps with the aggro matchup.
Goblet really does work against agro decks, because you have some blockers, and when it gets down, you usually have enough life to take a few hits, and then you just gain like crazy. That being said, I only use it as a sideboard card, because it is pretty slow and ineffective against control.
I would cut the oxidize, its generally not needed. As for win conditions, bringer is one of the solidest cards there is. I run black and blue bringers, and they are extreemly powerful. Against MUC defense grid wins games, but sometimes it is not enough. I run Boseiju as well.
As far as win conditions go, my favorite is still Rude Awakening, because with the amount of land search, it gets active very quickly, and it allows you to keep your bringers and such untapped for blockage. It takes opponants by surprise sometimes, and when properly protected it will deal 20 damage in one shot.
Clearwater Goblet is one of the only things that this deck has against WW. This deck has great game against control matchups and has amazing redundancy (odd for a 1-of deck) but it needs time to get to work and Clearwater Goblet is what gets it its time.

Not really.
1st game, yeah, you will prolly win with 5 counters on it.
Game 2, they board in Tterashis Grasp and gain 5 of a Goblet you tapped out for...And, last time I checked, This deck is not running the Blue Shoal.
Goblet has its uses, but in every aggro deck now there is mainboard hate to kill it, with the exception of WW, which is not very good or popular right now (compared to MUC or TaN). MGA has Zealot, then boards in Wear Away, Red has Hearth Kami, then boards in extra, and WW has Grasp in board...Doesn't really seem useful for you to tap out for goblet, only ot have them kill it end phase and go crazy during there turn...Plus, you will pretty much have to play it ASAP or else they would be bale to kill you early, regardless if you get a chance to gain off goblet.
Jace on the other hand gives you card advantage for no life cost. On the contrary, Jace can actually take some damage for you. I'd think that makes him better than Arena.

Well, that and Sundering Titan, but we don't speak of him anymore.
(Hint: Worship and Angel KILL in this deck. Try them out.)
resolving a single karma can ruin their day easily
(im also going to be running 1 extraction main, and a quesh sideboard soon)
