chrome mox would greatly speed this deck up but at what cost? aswell i still think that you dont need the damage prevention especially with 3 shining shoal
The shoal could go on a scepter but it just wouldnt do anything.....at all, except be a 2 mana instant.
Besides that i think some people are misunderstanding, some people here are playing a deck that only locks down the opponent, withthe scepter and journey you have a bouncing 3/3 horoki that only affects your opponents. That is the point of most of the decks posted here so far.

Putting ideas in your head is what I will be doing here. This is the inital build and by no means the final. I am looking for help moving the deck to the next level. If you are willing to playtest the deck do so and post your results here. I have only played vs. WW so far and I like the deck.
I'm not a fan of removing land for moxes for a few reasons... the main one being, there will still be artifact hate in the post ravager environment. It may not be nearly as heavy as it once was, but it will be there. Reducing your dependency on lands may increase your speed. but you will become more vulnerable. I'd probably run 21 lands and 3 moxes, as you don't want to run into them ALL the time.
I haven't REALLY looked at the decklist (I have read it and seen it, but I'm not looking at it right now) but it shouldn't be much of a problem to imprint some spells onto the mox, as hard as it is. I wish that there could be some form of card draw to help that out... maybe Solemn Simulacrum? With Isochron/Journey, you can be fetching a land every turn, which will thin your deck out and it will provide some draws if you decide to chump block. A 3/3 Jens isn't that bad either... Again, I don't remember the exact decklist and this stupid macintosh at school is horribly slow... but either way, I feel that it's a good addition regardless.
@CrAzEd MiKe - I don't know if Solemns are right for this deck. Do they really fit the curve? I originally had Sensei's Divining Top... That is kinda better for this deck, but SDT slows this deck down.
SDT shouldn't be played... it's not being played in tooth and nail, the one deck that COULD possibly use it.
Solemns differ from the tops because they can chump, and they actually provide card advantage as opposed to simple library manipulation. Plus, you can possibly beat them up with it if it's a 3/3
how are you guys perenting Horoki from dieing? my freind made a deck around this guy but he put in blue to give it some counters and that one glass guy that makes everyone of your creatures gets first spell abilty targeting that creature is counterend. And his deck worked ok still needs a lot of playtesting to even consider it as a vaiable deck. But just want to know how you keep him alive.
Imo, I would use Hokori to the best of my abilities, and by that I mean make sure that your opponent is locked. I do this by replacing the scepter, journies, wraths, prisons, and just go with mana producing cards other than lands A.K.A Gold Myr, Talisman of Progress, Guardian Idol. Now I know this may get off the subject of Mwc, but its still on the subject of Hokori lock. Now, you can use floodbringer to return lands to your hand and tap any your opponent untaps at his upkeep. While this is happening, you are beating him down with Hokori, the floodbringer itself, maybe a guardian idol, and a myr.
So while I splash blue for the floodbringer, I also went for echoing truth for bounce and pacisfism if your opponent does manage to drop something that hinders your victory, no pun intended.
Lets remove all the control elements and try and play aggro. W/U Aggro. You realize Hokori still wouldn't come down till turn four and I would have no control to stay alive that long?
I suggest going full out Lock. using moxes and talismans to provide you with mana while lands are tapped, and using floodbringer to tap any lands your opponent untaps. I'll let you figure out the decklist.
FYI, a full-out lock is not necessary. If you have lots of Mana (via the non-land mana producers), and your opponent doesn't have that many, you wind up ok. My Hokori deck is U/W control...
Well, as much as I like a complete lock, I'd like to be able to untap my lands also. That's why, I think Hokori+Orb of Dreams+Nature's Will is a better Idea. You can attack then untap ALL your lands, and he'll tap all of his :'(. Lather, rinse, repeat, it's that simple.
Well, I suppose an easier complete lock would be laying down a Icy manipulator and then putting Hokori down. It will be at about turn 5, but its much more viable than these 3 and 4 card combos everybody is talking about now.
i have been working on this idea for a while and it could be viable . the easiest way would be with nonland mana but whether you use borb of dreams and wrath or natures will or floodbringer you still need some form of controll. Hokori wont get dfown till turn 4 or maybe three if your talsimans and moxxes or whatever gets it out early and by then you need to deal with what theyll have out.
